Enjoy a cozy indoor fireplace, a spacious primary suite, a relaxing screen room, and a fun-filled game room for all ages. Chicory Cottage is proudly family-managed and personally cared for. Because we oversee every stay ourselves, we maintain the highest standard of cleanliness. We understand how much cleanliness impacts your vacation experience. At Chicory Cottage, we go beyond standard turnover practices by laundering all duvet covers, living room throw blankets, and throw pillow covers between every guest, along with all bed linens and pillowcases. Our goal is to provide a welcoming, meticulously maintained home where you can truly relax and enjoy your stay with confidence and peace of mind.

WITH THREE BEDROOMS AND 2.5 BATHS, EVERYONE CAN ENJOY PRIVATE SPACE WHILE VACATIONING TOGETHER
•The spacious primary bedroom has a King bed and an ensuite bathroom. The ensuite has a double vanity and a stunning walk-in shower with a rain head shower head and glass surround.
•The second bedroom has a King bed.
•The third bedroom has a Queen bed.
•All three bedrooms have their own Roku televisions, room-darkening window treatments, extra blankets, and closets.
•Chicory Cottage also has a powder room and an additional full bathroom.

•Two adult-sized paddle boards with a hand cart for walking to Kangaroo Lake public access
•Large fire pit with six Adirondack chairs and complimentary firewood (two bundles).
•Access to the outdoor shed, which contains: Life jackets, marshmallow forks, outdoor games & activities (Corn hole, Ladder golf, Football, Yardzee, Frisbee)

The indoor spaces are designed for your relaxation and enjoyment, not just to look good in photos.
•Comfortable living room furniture, including two recliners and a gas fireplace for use in all seasons.
•The open-concept kitchen features a spacious island and modern appliances, including a dishwasher. We provide a drip coffee maker, Keurig, electric kettle, and French press, along with starter supplies of coffee and tea. Gather around the large farmhouse table with seating for six to enjoy your meals together.
•Five Roku smart TVs (One in each bedroom, one in the living room, and one in the game room)
•Complimentary Wi-Fi and television streaming app for live, local “cable channels”.
•Enjoy the front conversation room with a vinyl record player and music library.
•Central heating and air conditioning (electric baseboard heat only in garage game room).
•Washer and dryer with complimentary laundry detergent

Other provided amenities and supplies include bed linens, pillows, blankets, bath towels, kitchen towels, beach towels, hair dryers, an iron/ironing board, Pack n Play (2 fitted sheets available), and a classic highchair. We supply paper products, including paper towels for the kitchen and six rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. We also supply hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, and garbage bags. We supply one small, travel-size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash per full bathroom. We recommend bringing shower essentials for stays longer than two nights.

MORE DETAILS ABOUT CHICORY COTTAGE
Our one-story home is 1,700 square feet, and recently underwent a complete remodel.
•Six guests maximum.
•Two parking spots in the driveway (no garage access for vehicles).
•We supply one small, travel-size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash per full bathroom. We recommend that guests bring shower essentials for stays longer than two nights.
•Furniture and decor may differ from the listing photos, as we strive to maintain the comfort, quality, and cleanliness of our home's furnishings.
•No pets, fireworks, firearms, smoking, tobacco, or vaping allowed on the property.
•Water Access for Kangaroo Lake is found 0.3 miles away. A public, sandy swimming area is at the east end of Kangaroo Beach Road. There is no actual beach at the public access point, but it offers easy entry and is shallow and sandy, making it ideal for swimming and wading. (Please note that vacation rental sites often use A.I. to describe our home’s proximity to Kangaroo Lake. Unfortunately, they often calculate the distance to the lake as the crow flies. Chicory Cottage is NOT lakefront. Nor is it 100 feet from Kangaroo Lake.)

Many of the requirements in our house rules are dictated by our local village’s short-term rental ordinance and are beyond our control. Our standard check-in time is 4:00 p.m. or later, and our standard check-out time is 10:00 a.m. or earlier.
Please read our entire listing, including our house rules and the description of our home's location. We require a signed rental agreement and a $300 credit card security deposit hold for all bookings. To finalize the booking and prevent cancellation, we require that our guests read and sign the agreement before their free cancellation period expires.
