The perfect getaway for families or groups. Sleeps 9. This stylish 2,000 sq ft country home sits on a private 23 acre ranch with a large pond for fishing, kayaking and paddle boating. Enjoy the dock at sunset, the wood burning fire pit or the covered outdoor dining area by the pond. Cook on the grill or inside in the equipped kitchen. The property has hiking trails throughout with abundant species of birds and other native Texas wildlife.
The house has a large outdoor porch with Adirondack chairs for relaxing. Inside enjoy a stylish, spacious living area with high ceilings, kitchen and dining. Two king size beds, 1 queen bed and a loft bedroom with 4 twin beds.
Only a 15 minute drive to Smithville where you'll find great restaurants, coffee shops and galleries. 10 minutes to the charming town of Flatonia and a 40 minute drive to Roundtop for antique shopping, music and dining. Enjoy! There is a security camera in the driveway facing away from the house.

Best place to relax and enjoy with Family

I stayed here for the weekend with my family and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Texas hill country. The place is very beautiful, cozy, and clean. Recommend it 100%

Absolutely beautiful property

We were in town for a family funeral so having a restful and beautiful property to come home to was especially nice. The property is amazing and would be a perfect city get away for a family with children. Great outdoor activities and very private. The owners were very responsive and helpful.

Weekend in Flatonia

The house was so cute!! It was very clean and had a lot of amenities. The owner was so very nice and very easy to work with! My kids want to come back and stay again when we have more time to enjoy everything.

Beautiful getaway!!!

We had an amazing stay at this 23-acre ranch! The charming home had a beautiful view of the pond and we loved being surrounded by nature. The property was clean and accommodating, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed exploring the grounds and taking in the peaceful surroundings. It was the perfect getaway for a small staff retreat and we would definitely recommend this VRBO to anyone looking for a tranquil retreat. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Slice of Country Heaven!

What an amazing property! We absolutely loved getting to fish with our kids first thing in the morning and through sunset. The kayaks and paddleboats were such a fun addition too! So thankful to have found this place.

Beautiful Modern Farmhouse

My family and I traveled to Texas for my husband’s family reunion. This house was perfect! Not only is it cozy and beautifully decorated, but it was also very clean and had everything we needed. Check-in and check-out were seamless and the property owner was easy to get in touch with as well. We will definitely be visiting this lovely house and property for future reunions.

Secluded Texas Country Retreat

Spent a few days around thanksgiving here with kids/grandparents and it was absolutely magical. The Property is secluded and all just for you with a well appointed and clean home, a covered patio, fire pit, fishing dock, trails etc... The Pond is in perfect condition and we caught tons of fish and the kids loved it. We will definitely be back!

Better than the photos

The place was extremely clean and was stocked with everything we needed. We also noticed how well maintained everything was on the property and how perfect it was. Me and my wife are very prone to getting bit by mosquitos and didnt get a single bite even without any repellant. The pond was stocked with fish. The paddle boat was a nice addition. We enjoyed using the very nice grill they provided. The welcome binder included everything we wanted to know on arrival and the friendly hosts messaged me prior with details on how to get in. The property gave us 100% privacy. We stayed here for the 4th of July weekend and they even allowed us to light off fireworks. Would definitely come back here again.

Beautiful Property with Great Amenities

We spent Memorial Day weekend here with a group of friends and had a wonderful time. The property is beautiful, offering plenty of activities like small trails and kayaking. The home itself was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was decently stocked, and we frequently used it for cooking and grilling throughout the weekend. Situated in the Texas countryside, the location naturally comes with its share of bugs and critters. The kids enjoyed exploring and discovering different types of insects around the property. Despite being diligent about keeping the doors closed, we did find a few small scorpions inside the house. This might be expected in such a rural setting, but it's something to be aware of.

We love spending time at the ranch with our two kids and extended family and friends. We cook, play games, relax, go on hikes, fish and hang out on the dock. It's an amazing place to unwind and get away from the city but it's also easy to get to Smithville for some shopping and dining.

The house is charming and every bedroom has the most comfy beds for getting the best sleeps. The pond is a beautiful feature stocked with bass for fishing as well as lots of different birds and other wild life.
