Escape to “Aloha House,” our upscale beach-front home for sun-soaked fun on the Chesapeake Bay. “Aloha House” comes with 2 kayaks, 2 fishing rods, yard games, beach chairs, and an umbrella….Everything you'll need to make you stay one of the best you've ever had! Start your day on the new trex deck with coffee, watching the sun burst over the horizon with its many splendid colors. Take a walk down the mile-long beach exploring and searching for sea glass, sharks’ teeth and driftwood. Hike to the cliffs and search for fossils, and artifacts yet to be discovered. Spend the afternoon fishing, swimming, crabbing, boating and kayaking. Have lunch in the sunroom watching beach goers and boaters on the bay ....maybe see some dolphins swimming by, only 50 feet away. End the day having drinks and dinner on the deck, catching a movie on fire stick, hulu, freevee, or sling TVs, or playing board games. A few miles away you'll find shopping, a water park, powerboat rentals, boardwalks, casinos, bowling, pickleball and delicious dining. Visit Solomons Island to enjoy live music, restaurants, and the Tiki Bar or take a day trip to D.C. to visit the many museums and monuments. Just a short drive to the north visit historic Annapolis and the Naval Academy for a fun filled day of memories.

Best place I have gone

Better than a hotel better than the other vrbo places I have stayed loved the place so relaxing and it brought plenty of joy to me and my family most definitely going back next year

Perfect spot for sunrises

This is a well appointed unit, in great location, awesome sunrise views, on a calm day took the kayaks out and we were amazed by nature paddling up the creek inlet.

Relaxing beach house

We enjoyed our time at this home. It was clean, quiet, and relaxing. We especially enjoyed walking on the beach, finding lots of shark teeth, and getting up early to watch the sunrise over the bay.

The Aloha House was lovely. comfortable, and in a beautiful, scenic location. We enjoyed the neighborhood vibe and watched the 4th of July parade with a few welcoming residents. Walking the beach and just sitting on the deck overlooking the peaceful expanse of the bay were definite highlights. Would gladly spend additional time here.

Great long weekend

We were looking for a close long weekend for our family of 4, we were so pleasantly surprised by the adorable neighborhood, and the proximity to the beach was amazing. Brett was super responsive and helpful with anything we needed. We are excited to go back to this area and stay here again!

Perfect spot!

What a perfect spot! The cottage was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The location was amazing with the Bay 20 yards from the back door. My sister, brother in law and I stayed. It would be the perfect size for two couples or a family. We were there the week after Labor Day, it was so peaceful.

Amazing property

Location 10/10 Cleanliness 10/10 Communication with owner 10+/10 This house has everything you’d want in a beach vacation! No big waves which was perfect for us because we had 2 small children. You walk right out the back door on to the beach where it’s just you and maybe a handful of people, very private!

Short Vacation Getaway with Daughters

Wonderful much-needed time away from work with my daughters. Short commute but felt far far away from NOVA/DC. Sat in the sun, collected shark’s teeth and kayaked. We’ll be back for sure!!

I will definitely come back!

Beautiful home and location, plus a warm and peaceful neighborhood. Clean and comfortable house with a large, well-equipped kitchen. I had a great time eating breakfast with a view of the sea and enjoying a shark tooth hunt with my daughter. I will definitely return.

Quaint and Perfect

It was just as the pictures showed. A lovely, very private, location just steps from the waterfront. The house was perfect for our needs and a wonderful view from each room. While not much to do in the area, we kept ourselves busy spending time near the water and exploring the nearby towns. Would recommend!

Great Getaway

Took my 85yo Mom for a few days to re-live her childhood and find old stomping grounds. Great trip! House is super comfortable - as described and imaged - and kitchen is well sticked and organized. Owner/Host Brett was fabulous to work with!! Thank you for a great few days!

Best house on the Chesapeake!

We loved this house! After trying a few others, we’ll come back here for sure. Great things about it: sandy beach, all one level (so no need to bring all the suitcases up the stairs like you do when it’s on stilts), very clean all over (even the deck and shed). Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Owners were very responsive, even getting a very expensive pair of prescription glasses returned quickly. Can’t wait to visit again!

Spectacular Sunrises!!

We loved this property, The pictures are accurate, in fact the place seemed a little bigger that I expected. The sunrises did not disappoint. Even if you are not a morning person you will want to wake up for the sunrise. You can watch it from bed in the back bedroom facing the bay. If I had known about this place when I lived in Kensington, we would have gone for a retreat several times a year.

Great view for bird lovers and Bay watchers

Brett and Maryanne are truly kind and attentive hosts for their lovely Chesapeake Bay home on the shore. The house was beautiful, with plenty of places to enjoy and relax both indoors and outside on the patio. A special treat was watching and listening to the varied birds and bunnies all around the house, and it was particularly special during twilight. A short drive from the DC area within an hour, it was a worthwhile visit to experience a slower pace from the city. Though close to neighbors, most were quiet and considerate, beachgoers do come by the shared beach so it's not remote, but all in all, a lovely stay.

Perfect Vacation!

The Aloha House is the perfect remedy for all that ails you. The Peaceful house is made for relaxing and enjoying the view. From Fishing and collecting shells, sea glass, small driftwood to walking along the beach, at night watching the sky before a storm; these are all things that we enjoyed during our stay. Everything was labeled and we didn't have to guess what to do upon arrival or departure. The communication with the owners was very responsive and helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful Aloha home with us. We do hope to enjoy the Aloha House again! Terry, Gary and Jan

A Beautiful Autumn Escape

Beautiful spot w/ super easy casual access to a clean, sunny beach. We went later in the year and scored crisp fall breezes and silence (save the lapping waves.) Genuinely could not have asked for a better spot. Neighborhood is quiet and well maintained, as was the property itself. Inside was clean and comfortable with plenty of seating options. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook and in the one instance where we needed something, the friendly and helpful property manager Eve was very quick to help - thank you! Groceries (and more) in Prince Frederick were easy to get and not extraordinarily far away. Our 4 yr old son had a great time on the sandy beach with its gentle waves and watching big ships sail up and down the bay. If you're looking for the fossils the area is known for then look no further, we found a ton in the water right in front of the house! Check out North Beach for food and a nice antique shop. Overall had a great time and found it hard to leave....but I think we'll be back. ;). Highly recommended!

Perfect

We booked this for a quiet getaway and that was exactly what we got. It was perfect. I did work a few hours a couple days while there, so the wifi connection is good. My husband spent most of his time watching the ships go up and down the bay and using his tripod binoculars he has. Needless to say, he was having a good old time doing nothing but ship watching. The house was very nice and perfectly situated for a wonderful few days away from everything. If you are looking for peace and quiet with no hustle and bustle this would be perfect. We had the beach in the back yard to ourselves. It's not a big beach but enough for beach chairs and sitting and reading a book or catching some rays. Or even a snooze while listening to the waves. It was great for a stroll in the evening up and down the shoreline. We even walked around the neighborhood. The house was very clean and updated. We had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever implements you need. The only downfall I should add is there is not much around for eating out, which for us was fine as we had planned every meal for staying in. There is nothing bad I can say about our stay. We want to plan another stay next year.

Lovely Trip

Perfect for kids as the sand and water was steps from the back porch. Everything inside the house was much nicer than expected as well for a vacation rental, from good mattresses on the beds to nice couches with electronic footrests to cookware that wasn't old and beat up to quality beach chairs. We rarely left the property our whole vacation, it was lovely.

This is not your normal unkept beach house. We live in the house part of the year, so we only purchase quality items. You'll live at the same high standard we live at. Leather power reclinging sofas, high quality comfortable mattresses, high-end appliances, and a well kept home.
