We had a very enjoyable time celebrating our bookclub's third anniversary! The house, location, and views were beautiful. In addition to the beds, we utilized both futons and they were also very comfortable.

Our hosts John and Christina were easy to contact and were very helpful with any questions or concerns we had. The house was comfortable, very roomy and well appointed with games, kayaks, paddle boats, etc. we really enjoyed catching crabs off the dock. The scenery overlooking the River was great. We would definitely consider staying there again.

Just what we needed

In town for a family event. The Rivers Roost was just what we needed, close enough to where we needed to go and still offered us the ability to relax while sitting next to the river. There were plenty of dinning options a short drive away. Communication while we were there was excellent. If ever in the area again we will definitely look to stay here again.

Loved Our Stay Here And Will Definitely Be Back

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful house! Inside was massive perfectly set up for our needs. Outside had stunning views and there is nothing better than being on the waters edge. The owners were easy to communicate with and they had everything ready in a timely manner for our check in. We didn’t get a chance to catch any crabs but we will definitely stay here again to try our hand at that.

The entire house was nice. The views was amazing. The only downfall was the bar/shed near the water. We couldn’t use because of the poor condition of it and was advertised as being nice and ready. I would hope the owner will take the time to put some love into it.

Perfect for families

Stayed here with a large family group that included grandparents and infants. The trip was a huge success. Peaceful, yet loaded with fun activities for the kids. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic location

I wish we had more time to spend at the house and I wish the weather would have been more cooperative. I would highly recommend this location. The owner’s were very quick to respond to any questions. Definitely would stay again.

A great Home for Vacation!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. The owner had put his heart and soul in this beautiful property. We had barbeque, fishing , crabbing , Kayaking, etc. It was a perfect family getaway.

Relaxing riverfront retreat

We really enjoyed our stay! We kayaked right off the dock in the backyard. We brought 2 kayaks and also used the owners kayaks and paddle boat. So fun! Caught some crabs and made a feast in the well appointed kitchen. They have more spices than I have in my home kitchen! Explored the local area by visiting Calvert Cliff State Park and Calvert Marine Museum. Had a nice dinner on Solomon’s Island. There was plenty of room to spread out for our 2 young adult daughters. Overall it was a relaxing retreat in a beautiful home. Thanks for sharing it with us. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful place, wonderful amenities!

Place is as described and shown in pictures. It will accommodate your group easily with lots of amenities to keep you busy. Host was helpful, communicated through out the stay, and had frosty mugs in the freezer ready for your fav beverage. A+ recommendation.

Lovely house on the water

Spent a weekend with kids and friends at the house. We all had a great time. it's a great location not far from the beaches on the bay and Solomons, and being on the waterfront made everything really special!

Wonderful for a family get-away!

This was an excellent choice for our family--grandparents, kids and grandkids! The house was clean, beds were comfortable and we had tons of room to spread out! The kitchen was wonderful for preparing for and serving meals to our large group! We enjoyed using the provided kayaks (and life vests) and wish we would have more time to sit by the fire in the backyard. We would love to stay here again in the future!

Vacation

This property was lovely and very well stocked with all of the necessities! The bedrooms were nice with comfy beds the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking including for the crab boil! Catching the crabs and fishing off the dock was a big hit with the boys! The paddle boat and kayaks were fun and enjoyable! We will look them up on our next trip to the area! Perfect stay!!! Thanks!

Quiet Weekend with Friends

I rented this house for a quiet weekend with a group of friends. The house was cute, clean, and overall perfect for the long weekend getaway. John responded to my questions in a timely manner and was very helpful. I recommend this house for anyone who wants a peaceful getaway! I will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful property and location

This house is absolutely fabulous! Very spacious, stocked with necessary supplies and many amenities. Beautiful property and views of the water, sunrises and sunsets. We especially liked all the wonderful decks, kitchen on the bottom level, many bathrooms, and comfortable furnishings. John and Christina were excellent host. They responded immediately to any concerns or questions. They were easy to communicate with during the check-in and check-out process. I would definitely love to come back in future!

Beautiful Property

We stayed here for an amateur boxing event and chose this rental specifically for its listed amenities, especially the “HOT TUB” in the title. Unfortunately, there is no actual hot tub—just a small, dirty jetted tub in the master bath. The host explained it’s a VRBO listing issue, but it still felt misleading.The location is great, and the hosts were friendly, However, the cleanliness of the home did not reflect the cleaning fee we were charged. There were dirty dishes left in the dishwasher from the previous guests. We don’t believe in cleaning up after others, we washed what we used by hand and left them on the drying rack.This place has potential with better cleaning staff and more accurate descriptions.
