A lot of miscommunication
House was beautiful. Carpets on the ground did slide around a lot, so we were nervous of falling or accidentally moving around furniture. We stayed here for our wedding weekend. First miscommunication was when we requested the venue. Listing states that you can have parties there with a maximum of 30 people if communicated with the owner. We let them know that our bridal party was staying at the Vrbo with us and that we planned to have our rehearsal dinner there the night before our wedding. Maybe it was my fault that I wasn’t specific about who that included, but considering the listing stated up to 30 we felt that our groomsmen, bridesmaids, parents, grandparents, siblings, and officiant (24 people) would be okay. Host assumed it was just bridesmaids. I reached out a couple weeks prior to confirm our plans. Host didn’t respond until less than a week before our stay saying that it states in their listing no parties and also that there was a limit of 6 cars (did not see that anywhere on listing or messages). Host didn’t confirm that we couldn’t have anyone except the 11 people staying until days prior, leaving us with limited options for our rehearsal dinner. We ended up having to have our rehearsal dinner elsewhere and had to spent another $1K instead of just having dinner at the house. Second was when we were checking out. We had messages and email confirmation stating our check out was at 11AM. Host sent a message at 9:48AM that we had to be out by 10AM for the cleaner.
