This 1904 Queen Anne style home is located in a quiet, kid friendly neighborhood in the affluent North Admiral neighborhood of West Seattle.

Walking distance to shops, café’s, restaurants and public library. Beautiful walks to downtown and Puget Sound vistas. Plenty of on-street parking. Comfortable outside front porch living space and beautiful backyard with deck & BBQ.

RENTAL FEATURES
- Fully equipped open plan kitchen/dining

- 3 sunny & bright bedrooms with downtown and Puget Sound views. The bedrooms have bunk beds, queen bed, master bedroom has a queen bed with en-suite bathroom. There are 2 floor mattresses available for small children that can be used in the family room.
- 2.5 bathrooms (soaker tub and shower). Toiletries are NOT included.

This is a quiet, family neighborhood and the home is set up to accommodate small groups of families and friends. Parties and large gatherings are strictly prohibited.

My Property Manager lives on-site in the basement apartment and is available for emergencies or any questions you may have. The best way to reach us (the owners) is through the VRBO app.

Please note that our cancellation policy is RELAXED (100% refund 14 days before check-in, 50% refund 7-14 days before check-in. Otherwise, no refund). We advise on purchasing travel insurance to cover unexpected emergencies or acts of God.

The house was just as grand and beautiful as the pictures show. Two large and comfortable living room areas with lots of light and beautiful views of Seattle and Puget Sound. The kitchen was perfect as was the location, very close to the water taxi to downtown and great restaurants and shopping. We didn't want to leave.

Hosts were extremely responsive both before and during our stay.The house has incredibly beautiful views across Seattle and Puget Sound. About a 200 degree panorama. House built in 1904- furniture dated but expected with age of house. Kitchen appliances good and adequately stocked. Lots of seating. Bathrooms small but ok. Unfortunately, a few negatives that got our rating down. The house was freezing upstairs when we arrived and took a good 36 hours to heat up- upstairs is baseboard individual heaters- one in each room, none in bathrooms although they have heated floors. Owners really should turn heat on at least 24 hours before arrival. Kitchen had ants all over sink area. There also were ladybugs in primary bedroom bathroom. A small note too, the front doorbell didn’t seem to work. If we were assured on heat upstairs and ants, we would likely stay here again.

Great home and location. Beautiful views of the city from the second floor sitting area and the water taxi is just down the street. The home is very clean and has all the amenities. Would definitely stay again with the family.

This stay was just wonderful. The entire house was very well supplied. The kitchen had everything needed for any size cooking. The gathering areas upstairs and downstairs were perfect for everyone.The view FNTASTIC!I would highly recommend a stay at what we called the grand blue house.Thank you

This was such a great house for a bachelorette weekend. The easy access to the lovely shops on Alki and the ease of parking for all of us. We all spent most of our weekend on the gorgeous front porch looking over the water and enjoying the neighborhood. Everything was clean and the house had nearly every amenity one could want. My only note would be that the AC doesn't quite cool off the upstairs where all the bedrooms are. If you're visiting in the hotter summer days it's worth noting. It is an older home and there aren't any easy solutions.

Place was as described. Great location being about 15 minutes from downtown seattle. We would definitely stay again but be aware that they have beds for 6 people (2 queens and 2 twins) and then there are couches to sleep on. Also, they provide only hand soap and no body soap or shampoo/conditioner. Again, we would happily stay here again due to the cleanliness, good communication, view, and location.

The house is beautiful with amazing views of the water and the Seattle skyline. Easy walk to beautiful Alki beach and its restaurants. Very quiet, pretty neighborhood. Easy access to highways for some great day trips - whale watching, Mt. Rainier, The Gorge amphitheater, Vashon Island. We had a fantastic visit. I highly recommend.

Best views in the entire city. We were blown away by being able to see the skyline and harbor from atop a hall in West Seattle. Comfortable beds and couches. Responsive hosts when we had we questions. Highly recommend!Would recommend having a car if you stay here, as we did. It is possible to walk down to the ferry into downtown (10-15 walk), and definitely very fun to take the ferry at least once, but is a steep uphill walk to get back home.

Beautiful home & neighborhood. Feel as tho the listing is misleading. While it says it sleeps as many as it does, the fine print indicates it is just 2 extra mattresses you can throw on the floor. The picture indicated for those "mattresses" shows a room that you can throw the mattresses in. Take note before booking.

Like it or not.

The property was nice, the stairs you see are near vertical. Also the stairs to bedrooms are same way. It was a very nice neighborhood, we felt very safe!! (I walked every morning…3)This property has great views and an awesome porch to sit on. There is no air conditioning. It was warm while we were there in July!! They did provide fans or it would have been tough. This place provided nothing as far as coffee pods, paper towels, bath wash, shampoo. Also there were several… “ do this, don’t do that signs”!! 3rd bedrooms were bunk beds & that room is hot with little ventilation. 15-20 min. walk to anything. I will say again…. This place had some killer views!!! And was very clean & comfortable. Communication was good but seemed they had a didn’t really care attitude. The safe neighborhood, cleanliness, & views out weigh most of the negatives.

Spring break

Beautiful home with beautiful views. Flowers in abundance! Short walk to water taxi and we were off to all of our weekend activities. Such a great weekend!

Neat historic retreat

Was coming to Seattle to watch a motorcycle event. Found this house was in the perfect location to be close to the venue but was also located in a nice quiet neighborhood. It was so easy to access downtown Seattle via water taxi. The house was also so intriguing in its history that we spent alot of time researching the area. House was also very clean and welcoming. Would definitely stay again!

Great stay in West Seattle

We were in Seattle for a basketball tournament. This location has great access to downtown (driving or ferry) and other communities of greater Seattle. We really enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and were able to walk to a few restaurants for dinners etc. House is well set up for family and has some wonderful old seattle charm. Our youngest forgot his cuddle blanket and owners were wonderful in arranging for that to be sent to us. Overall a great stay and gave us a sense of a wonderful community we had not been exposed to on previous trips to seattle.

Excellent Family property

This home is both beautiful and extremely comfortable for a family….we were visiting local relatives and friends with small children and were able to relax in the upstairs den as well as cook and share some nice meals.The neighborhood was lovely to walk in and downtown West Seattle was right around the corner with interesting shops and delicious restaurants.Highly recommend

Comfort of Home

Our family enjoyed staying at this home very much. The home is clean, comfortable, and met our needs for an extended weekend exploring Seattle. It is a short walk to several bus routes and to the Seattle Water Taxi as well. After busy days, it was great to come back in the evening and have several spaces and nooks for everyone to relax and enjoy downtime.

I was born and raised in Northern England before immigrating to South Africa at the age of 15. While back-packing around Europe in 1994, I worked a summer on the island of Mykonos where I met Nick, my husband. Nick was born and raised in San Jose, CA and went to school on the East Coast in Rhode Island. We married and settled in Seattle in 1997 and raised our 3 children in this home. In 2012 we relocated to San Jose, CA. Seattle and this home have a special place in our hearts which is why we like to share it with guests so they too can experience just how special it is.
