The Space:

Noorden House is a contemporary, privately-set vacation home, just 15 minutes from the heart of Woodstock, making it both an ideal luxury retreat, and a terrific way to plug into all the goings-on in this vibrant area. An for the ideal luxe country retreat. And during warmer months, the heated pool* is a major attraction.



The house is elevated on the property, and an abundance of glass and an open, airy layout combine with exposed beams and natural wood accents to offer just the right balance of modern and comfortable. The exposed side of the building benefits from the wonderful sunlight that streams through banks of windows and glass sliding doors, not to mention distant mountain views. Those doors lead out to the wraparound deck where there is a gas grill, lounge area and teak dining table, and where guests can overlook the pool, lawns and the landscaped grounds.



On the main level of the house the bright living room then flows to the dining room with large table, where wood beams and a gas fireplace create a cozy vibe. The modern kitchen features a breakfast bar, and the bank of windows offer pleasing views to go with your morning coffee.



Upstairs there is a spacious lounge, perfect for movie viewing, and the three delightful bedrooms are each off that space. The large master suite (king bed) with cathedral ceiling and exposed beams includes a colorful, modern bathroom with glass-enclosed shower. The second bedroom is a full, and the third has two twin beds plus a third perched up in a loft in that room. The equally-fabulous guest bathroom features double sinks, and a soaking tub/shower.



The lower level of the house includes a “bonus” rec room with ping-pong table and huge chalk board for young (or not) artistic expression. Sliders lead outside and the full bathroom with shower on this level is handy for rinsing off post-swim.



Beyond the pool area, the fire pit beckons. And beyond that, just stroll into the woods and dappled light illuminates a pretty creek that winds through the trees.

Nestled in the heart of Woodstock, NY, the charming neighborhood of Mt. Tremper offers a captivating blend of natural beauty and artistic allure. In summer, immerse yourself in lush landscapes, with hiking trails beckoning and the pristine Esopus Creek offering a refreshing escape. Indulge in farm-to-table dining and explore local galleries.

As winter blankets the area in snow, the enchantment continues with nearby access to premier skiing destinations like Hunter Mountain (30 min) and Belleayre Mountain (30 min).

Getting Around:

Noorden House is just about two hours from New York City, and you'll definitely want a car to get there and around the area.

In the winter, we recommend a car with four-wheel drive that can handle the snow and gravel roads.
