Great location - walkable to several shops, restaurants etc. It was a cute spot, just as pictured and the hosts were easy to communicate with.

This place was amazingly close to so many fun things to do. It was spotless and very retro! I loved the strong mid century vibe. Instructions for everything were clear. Even the textiles were scented beautifully. It was safe too. I'll definitely stay here again.

Great Place

If you need a place to sleep and veg out after a long day of sight seeing, this little apartment will suffice! It’s within walking distance to many restaurants and some of the key sights to see! We were happy with our stay.

Perfect for zoo weekend

We came in for long weekend to visit the zoo and Sea world. Great location in safe neighborhood and everything was very clean. Will definitely stay here again to come back to San Diego!

Unfortunately , It’s clear that no matter what we did to assist, nothing would have been good enough. Some people just prefer to be miserable, and I’m not jumping on board with that. You stayed for two days and then sent a two-page letter over something as trivial as 2-ply toilet paper provided—surely, there are better ways to spend your time. If your stay was so unbearable, the best decision would have been to simply check out and leave rather than sitting inside conducting a full-blown inspection. A vacation is meant to be enjoyed, not spent nitpicking .We provided you with a clean and comfortable place to stay . I’m not going to entertain a list of bullet points, especially when all the necessary information was readily available to you from the start.

The place was okay however the bathrooms were small with no or minimal storage with toiletries.The unit was upstairs. The stairs were a bit scary for us, an older couple.

Our listing clearly discloses that there are stairs, and if this was a concern, it should have been addressed before booking. We cannot read through the entire listing and amenities for every guest. If there is an age or mobility issue, it is the guest’s responsibility to consider their limits before traveling. Additionally, the east bathroom has approximately six shelves for toiletries, which provides more than ample space for guests’ needs.

Our family stayed in this cute little vintage bungalow. The neighborhood was nice and the place was clean and charming. It was a little tight for four of us but had all the basics we needed. We found parking to be pretty easy and plentiful around the apartment. My only small complaint would be the walk in shower… the water pressure was so strong it was unbearable and there were no settings on the shower head to help alleviate the pressure. Otherwise, was a good stay for us!

Looks like beautiful property

We did not get to stay. There was an issue with the property on the day we left to come to San Diego. We just rented another place. The owners are very nice and I recommend staying with them.

Vintage gem in the heart of it all

Loved this place! Reminded me of my charming and pretty 1947 studio apartment in Los Angeles I lived in years ago. I appreciate that the people who own this place kept the original tile work, built ins and outfitted it with clean, appropriate furniture. Great location for getting to all of the San Diego hotspots. Only drawback - parking could potentially be a bit difficult if you use your car and come back searching for parking. I was clear in asking the owners about parking and at first they said it should be plentiful. Later they suggested I take rideshare so I wouldn't have to contend with parking...wasn't in love with the change of answer, but I would definitely recommend this place. Beautiful, great location, clean, charming and had good contact with owners.

Happy to hear you had a wonderful stay! I wanted to point out that in our conversations regarding parking that this is exactly what I said :"There is free street parking directly in front and all along the surrounding residential streets. No restrictions."

We Left after One Hour

My husband and I needed WIFI as we were working. The network listed in the unit’s Welcome Binder did NOT show up any of our 4 devices (2 phones & 2 lap tops). The owner had been very clear in his pre arrival info that he may not be available after normal business hours. It was Sunday evening at 7pm when we texted him of the problem. When he did not respond in 30 minutes we felt we had no choice but to leave. We were in the unit *less than one hour,* the entire time of which was trying to get internet access. We only asked for our cleaning fee back, however, the owner refused. We called VRBO the next morning & when they heard our story they telephoned the owner who refused VRBO’s request to refund our cleaning deposit. VRBO felt the owner was so unreasonable that they issued a credit to us. Do NOT rent this unit if you must have WIFI. Also, the owner’s behavior was unreasonable in solving an issue that was clearly no fault of the renter.

I sent you the internet information which is also in the welcome book on the kitchen counter. I also sent a snap shot of it as well. Which is in the above message thread. It is high speed and works great. I answered you within 18 minutes. To prove your dishonesty which is in writing below "we are checking out. no wifi. we have tried 2 contact u. no response JuneDec 3, 6:58 PM There is WIFI. I was in the middle of dinner with my family and typically will wait until we are finished eating to return a message. As noted in the welcome book is the WIFI information. IMG_4377.jpeg IMG_4377.jpeg YouDec 3, 7:01 PM So sorry it took a whole 18 minutes to return a message" You also used both beds, left wrappers on the floor , showered, left dirty dishes in the sink and enjoyed a pot of coffee. What a disappointment it was having to deal with someone like you.

Great Area and Communication 10/10!

The place is clean and quaint. I loved the decor and overall midcentury atmosphere. There was beautiful artwork on the walls, and I loved the furniture! The beds were comfortable, and it was nice having a bathroom for each bedroom. Communication with the hosts was perfect. They left a notebook with helpful info about the rental & things to do in the area. We found it very handy! There is no AC, but there are fans and we opened windows and were very comfortable. Oh, and the water pressure in the shower was amazing! The neighborhood is well established & beautiful. It was quiet and walking distance to many eateries. Also, we just loved the folks we ran into at every establishment. A couple things to note that do not bring down my opinion of the property at all. It’s just good to know. The steps to get up to the property could use a little TLC. Also, the shower in the yellow bedroom is very small, but it did the trick. The notebook gave all the info we needed for internet and tv access. You do have to provide your own logins. We couldn’t figure out how to load our Hulu, but that was on us. Also, the light switch in the yellow bedroom is behind the curtains between the door and windows close to the head of the bed. The instructions said to face the bed & it was on the left side, which it is if you’re facing the bed with your back to the bathroom. However, you won’t see it if you don’t move the curtains.Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

This is a nice little place conveniently located in the Hillcrest neighborhood. An easy walk, or cheap Uber, to lots of great restaurants, clubs and grocery stores. The host was excellent. Be aware that the bathrooms don't have a lot of surfaces for your toiletries, so plan accordingly. The water pressure and available hot water are absolutely perfect. I'd stay here again and highly recommend it!
