Hacienda del Mar #1 is a comfy townhouse located just a short walking distance to the beach. This is the perfect vacation home for your entire family to enjoy! It is half block from Blackbeards restaurant, two blocks from the post office and three blocks from the movie theater and a new public boat ramp within a mile from the property. The townhouse showcases hi-speed wireless internet, two (2) flat screen LED TVs (the living room TV is a 65"smart TV), leather sectional sofas/recliner, ceramic tile counter tops, washer/dryer, central air .

Spend the day relaxing at the beach, and the afternoons either at the semiprivate swimming pool or on one of the decks/balcony overlooking the street or the pool.
The Patio also features a BBQ grill and a bar counter top where to enjoy a cold refreshment by the pool.

House-trained pets allowed through a small pet fee.(2 max) usually $59 per pet. If it was not included on the original quote, it may be charged after reservation is booked

Notes:
- Multilevel property - Garage on ground floor, Living area and 2nd floor...Master Bedroom on 3rd floor.
- Swimming pool is not heated
- Groundskeeper lives on location on a separate efficiency apt in the building
- This property is registered and holds an occupancy permit with the city of South Padre Island

Enjoyable family stay

Nice place to stay close to beach

Me and my family enjoyed the stay. We spent most of the time at beach and it’s very close by. Only thing to note is the steps are steep and easy to skip with wet feet so if any elderly people are coming please make sure to walk slowly on steps.

Fantastic stay!!

Hacienda del Mar #1 was great! Very clean and had nice touches like an extra fan, dehumidifier, and an accessible garage. Check-in and checkout were easy and no hassle. Host was available if we had any needs. Great balconies and nice pool area. My family and I enjoyed our stay in this nice part of the island with a great host.

Thank you for the review. I am always open to suggestions as to how to improve my home. Bathroom was completely remodeled in 2017. Internet is the fastest speed available and we also have a range extender. Perhaps there was a problem with Spectrum/Time Warner which could have been remedied if the problem was reported. The outside hot-tub is not advertised as an available offering: the indoor hot-tub/spa works fine up to 125 degrees F all year. The pool will be resurfaced at the end of the season, as it is our practice to resurface it every 2 years. We hope to hear from you when you plan your next visit to South Padre Island. UPDATE Oct-28-2017. The swimming pool has been resurfaced this week and it looks awesome!

Terrific Townhouse

This townhouse really gave us a wonderful memory during storm ridden weekend. The house had a 4 beautiful balconies and a spacious living room. The location was right in the middle of everything and taxi rides were numerous and affordable. The property itself was well maintaned and everything inside was very nicely decorated. This is definately a home that I like to re-visit for many years to come.

Great location but a few issues

The house was great and was just like the listing! The only issue was that the upstairs room had a dirty sheets and the spa outside had no water. Other than that the stay was great!

Thank you for the feedback. For the benefit of other future guests, sheets and all bedding are replaced and/or washed with hot water following strict sanitation guidelines. If this was a real issue I would have wanted to hear about it when the guest was here, and given the opportunity to correct the issue and not hearing about it in a review several days after the alleged fact. As for the SPA, it is not advertised in the listing because it will soon be removed. It is NOT an offered amenity, and I hope no one is misled to think it is. There is a working SPA/Jacuzzi in the Master Bedroom, that is also sanitized with every turnover! This Bathroom Jacuzzi is an offered amenity and noted in the listing.

Nice place

We had a really nice time at the Hacienda. It was nice to be so close to the ocean plus they have a great area to walk and ride bikes. The property is really nice and has pretty much everything you need. We had to contact Roberto a few times with different issues and he always got back with me the same day & got the problems resolved quickly. The only negative thing about the place(for us) is the pool isn't heated. We couldn't use it at all b/c it was too cold some days & every evening. There were many days it was hot enough outside but the water was too cold to get in. We would've loved to been able to spend some time in it. A couple fun activities we did were a boat ride to see dolphins & the Segway tour. There are plenty of good restaurants & shops around the island and nearby towns.

Perfect location

According to previously reviews, I could experience improvements in the property. They have now a de-humidifier, so no more musty smell!!! The house was very clean and they provide all the kitchen utensils. Contacting the manager was easy and he answered after few minutes. The location is perfect. Short walk distance to the beach.

For the most part the stay was good. The house was clean but there was a stale smell to it. Hot water didn't work the best. But for the money and location it was a good stay. Wish the house had some updated amenities.

Thank you for the review and the feedback. I wish you had reported the issues, specially with hot water while you were there and not having to find out from your after the fact review. I have sent maintenance to check-it and they did not find anything wrong with the water heater or hot water. We own this townhome and we are always updating it, little by little. The last update was the shower remodeling on the second bathroom. There are several more planned for this year after the high season.

Great Family Beach House

House had everything we needed for a week at the beach. Close to everything, outside shower, and refreshing pool. Well- stocked kitchen where we were able to make several meals at home and sit at the beautiful glass top table as a family. Great place!

It's walking distance to the beach, which my wife and I enjoy it very much. It is also very close to some good restaurants such as PadreRitaGrill and Blackbeards and to the local supermarket, the Blue Marlin.
