Perched above the surf of the famous Chamberlain shoreline, this cottage promises a cozy retreat at one of the prettiest stretches of coastline in Maine. Filled with the echoes of days gone by, this cottage has aged gracefully to a warm mellow glow and offers the updates visitors request. Comfortable furnishings, antiques, stunning views to Monhegan and other pristine islands, a large multilevel deck and an updated kitchen all promise your vacation enjoyment. Located near the Rachel Carson Saltpond Preserve, the Long Cove beach, and New Harbor. close to all Pemaquid attractions. The single bedroom has 2 twin beds. There is also a sleep sofa in the living area.

This was an amazing cottage with views of the water. The most spectacular thing was you could hear the crashing waves and see sunrises and sunsets. The cottage had everything you could think of and then some. Left absolutely refreshed and soo happy

Great Summer Place.

Great location, great views, good local restaurants, and there is a lot to do in the area including beaches, history, hikes, bike riding, and kayaking. The Bristol peninsula has a classic Maine feel.

Maine Getaway

We had a great stay! Cottage was comfortable and well stocked with items like basic spices, laundry detergent, paper towels, aluminum foil etc. We loved the deck!!

Check in was easy. Great classic Maine cabin! Wonderful views. Nice, well organized galley kitchen with a small dining space. Could have used some corn stickers for corn on the cob. Enclosed porch area with great ocean views. Very nice deck too with the ocean views. Driveway is a bit steep but if you don’t horse it you can do it. Great amenities in the area: Reileys grocery, and a nice ice cream place by it. Shaw’s seafood restaurant on the pier. Recommend trails in the area, Hardy Boat ferry to Monhegan island for the day.

Location,location,location!

If you’re looking for a cozy cottage with everything you could possibly need and a great location as well as easy access to Boothbay, Camden and Damariscotta., this is it! The sound of the surf pounding across the street with splendid views is the icing on the cake!

A quaint rustic cottage with lots of charm

This cottage is a lovely old fashioned Maine cottage with all the modern conveniences that make things easy. The screened front porch was a favorite spot for us. It offers a nice view of the ocean and the window screens kept the space cool during a surprisingly hot stretch of July weather.

Very cute clean and quaint

I have been coming to this part of Maine my whole life. This cute lil cottage has all you need and is in the perfect location For walks to Ling Cove, Rachael Carson Preserve, and Shaw’s Wharf. Perfect fit for our lil family of3. Big deck for sunshine days and nice closed in porch for reading and breakfast on cool Rainey mornings. Hot tub was a bonus! Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you Pam and Bennett for sharing your slice of heaven.

Very peaceful and comfortable - hope to return!

We knew this was a gem as soon as we walked in. A large outdoor deck perfect for eating at the table or snoozing in the lounge chairs, a screened porch for sipping morning coffee or eating dinner with the ever-present sound of the waves breaking. The cottage had everything we needed for cooking, and the shower had plenty of hot water and very good water pressure. We slept well on the twin beds. A cozy and obviously well-loved place! It was also perfectly clean and well-aired when we arrived, which we appreciated given current events. I really hope we will come back for a longer stay. The continuous sound of the ocean was the best relaxant you can imagine.

Fall 2018 - Maine Rocky Coast Vacation

We had a great time staying in this rustic cabin overlooking the ocean. The cabin had everything we needed to have a wonderful and restful vacation. We were truly blessed by the owners hospitality, the cabin's comforts,the beautiful ocean view from our deck, the small port community and the many things to do and see in the area. We traveled around in our car, we hiked almost everyday, and kayaked on one of the many lakes in the local area. We visited the nearest town Damariscotta during their local pumpkin festival which was very nice. The fall colors were beautiful and just starting to peak. Also there are so many state parks and conservation areas to visit it's a great area. Our favorite place was La Verna Preserve which was just gorgeous. Thank you Pam and Bennett for letting us stay in your cabin we had a great Maine vacation!

A wonderful home away from home!

Cool breezes, shady trees and ocean waves makes this cottage a perfect summer vacation home! The owners clearly love their cottage as well as their guest, making sure that everything is ready and waiting…including many caring little details…like bug spray, and sunscreen. The kitchen has everything you need, whether just assembling or really cooking. The bedroom has a view that makes waking up something to celebrate and the screened in front porch is an excellent place to work on jigsaw puzzles while watching the sunset over the ocean! But the deck is the very best part of staying in this cottage. Rain or a chilly breeze is really the only reason to ever leave it! Pam and Bennett are both generous and gracious hosts, making for a PERFECT stay! We’re already looking forward to next summer! 😊

Nice Cabin

This cabin would have been perfect if it hadn't been for the swarm of mosquitoes that greeted us the minute we got out of the car. I've never experienced anything like it. It would have been nice if the owners would have let us know about them before hand. My reason for rented here was to enjoy the outdoors and that was not happening. The cabin itself is very nice, clean and comfortable. We had internet service here but you will not be able to use your cell phones.. no service at all. They do have a landline you can use. The owners are very nice, however right next door so not a lot of privacy. We had a dead battery in our rental car and Bennett was very nice to try and jump it.. however ended up having to have Avis bring us another car! We spent two nights.. and traveled to Boothbay for the day which was very nice.. I highly recommend visiting there.

Great stay in New Harbor area.

Quaint cottage with everything one would need. Well appointed kitchen. Beautiful view of the Chamberlain harbor from the deck. Very close to Pemaquid Point lighthouse, Round Pond, hiking trails and eateries.

Another perfect stay.

A Hidden Gem

We so much enjoyed this lovely little cottage. It was exactly as described and perfect for our getaway. It was in a tranquil setting with a beautiful view of the ocean. Weather permitting, the deck is so relaxing. The owners were so gracious and had everything we needed waiting for us when we arrived. Thank you, Pamela and Bennet, for sharing you cottage.

Great memories in a great cottage and area in Maine

The cottage I selected was all it was described as being and more. I read the comments of previous guests and realized this was the place for me. Upon arrival, I was delighted in all ways. My 2 favorites of all: coffee on the deck in the a.m. and listening to the sound of the ocean. The New Harbor/Bristol area were unknown to me. It's low key, charming with gorgeous coastline, and flora. Places to see, shops, great food. I'll definitely rent this wonderful cottage in this wonderful place again.

Wonderful location, property, and surroundings!

My mother stayed here for a weekend getaway and had a wonderful time. The cabin was beautiful, she loved the view, how cozy it was, and the proximity to the ocean and nature trails. She is already planning her return trip! Thanks Pam for a wonderful experience!

Oh the sound!

Staying at the "little cottage" was a marvelous experience The views were wonderful but oh the sound ! The waves crashing on the rocky Maine shore are permanently wired into my very happy brain. This place invites you to nap and rest and when you are ready, the area is great for exploring light houses, charming shops or taking another nap. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped and the front porch (closed in with open screened windows) was the place to be. I highly recommend this property to couples or small families.

A lovely cottage by the sea

We had a lovely overnight here. Pam and Bennett made everything extremely easy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Just a short walk to the Rachel Carson Salt Pond Preserve, which we really enjoyed both in the afternoon and in the morning before we left.

My family has been vacationing in this spot for 50 years. My parents had rented this cottage for many years. When it came on the market in 1987, my husband and I bought it, and we continued a multigenerational tradition of family fun on the coast of Maine. It has been a magnet for our family and friends of all ages who just love it here.

Our cottage is located in the village of Chamberlain on State Route 32, between New Harbor and Long Cove. Downeast Magazine has described this short stretch of road as "quintessential Maine Coast". A short walk will bring you to many fun activities. Walk over to the Salt Pond tidal pool just a few hundred yards south and sit on the rocks or take a cool dip in the "pond". Kids of all ages will have a blast! Walk a 1/4 mile further south to the working harbor, and eat a lobster or take a boat cruise. Or walk about 1/4 mile to the north to see Long Cove and the pleasure boats moored there. The pocket sandy beach at Long Cove is another great place for a dip or a float in the calm waters. It is also a nice landing for your kayak. Come back after your adventure and relax on the deck, hear the pounding surf and smell the fresh salt air, with miles of ocean view filling your eyes and your heart.
