The Cranberry Cottage @ Hills Creek

The Cranberry Cottage is a cozy getaway located less than a mile from Hills Creek State Park and a short drive from all that makes the Wellsboro area such a popular destination. Whether you are visiting the area for one of our well-known festivals, to view the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, to bike the 62-mile Pine Creek Rail Trail, go hunting, fishing, hiking, or all of the above....you will love to come home to the comfort of the cottage.

The cottage is situated on a wooded lot that sets back a bit from the quiet, lightly traveled road. Our guests will have access to the entire upper level of the home, both upper and lower covered porches, and the yard. The downstairs is vacant and not currently part of the rental.

The cottage was built and enjoyed as a vacation home by one family for over 40 years. We purchased the home in 2021 and since then our family has been making memories here while remodeling, decorating, and furnishing it...all the while looking forward to sharing it with our guests.

The main living space is open concept and the many large windows with views of the wooded lot give the feeling of being in a treehouse. The living room has a ROKU TV, a brick, natural gas fireplace and plenty of seating. The dining area features a large farmhouse table with long benches and two chairs. The kitchen has been thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals at home and includes a counter height table and chairs for additional seating. There is a coffee bar with a Keurig K-Duo™ Single Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker. We provide coffee, a starter supply of K cups, and a reusable K cup pod that can be filled with coffee. We also supply an electric kettle and tea bags for our tea lovers.

The larger bedroom has a queen bed and small seating area with a cozy loveseat, electric fireplace, and TV. The 2nd bedroom has a bunkbed (2 twins). The bathroom has a shower/ tub combination. While we love repurposing items and will always choose a solid, vintage piece of quality furniture with a story over a newly manufactured piece, the exception is our premium mattresses which are purchased new. Like you, we value a good night's sleep, so our beds are dressed in quality cotton sheets, cozy duvets, crisp duvet covers, and comfortable pillows.

Guests will need to have the ability to climb stairs to access the cottage. A 4WD vehicle will be required to navigate the driveway in November and December.
