Located in the historic South Palm Springs neighborhood of Twin Palms Estates, this 2,600 sq ft, 3 bedroom, 4 bath Palm Springs luxury vacation home is a newer home that's inspired by Palm Springs's Mid-century modern heritage. The private yard features a kidney-shaped pool with tanning shelf, bubbling spa, glass fire pit, outdoor dining for ten, three sleek chaise lounges, gas grill and panoramic mountain views. The two-story solar-powered house boasts a living room with 14' ceiling, gourmet kitchen with breakfast bar, formal dining room, wet bar, laundry room with sink, elegant wood staircase and a spacious furnished patio with pool and mountain views. In addition, all three bedrooms have walk-in closets and ensuite bathrooms. While completed in 2014, this luxury home has elements of Palm Springs mid-century design including clerestory windows, angular details and a butterfly roofline.
There is a great separation of bedrooms: The Master is on the first floor while the two guest bedrooms are located on the second.
The spacious master suite features an ensuite bath with tile floors, double sink vanity, walk-in shower with duel shower heads and a large soaking tub with mountain view. The bedroom has high ceilings, a King size bed (2019-New Mattress), 70'' TV mounted on a wall of Brazilian Koa wood, dresser, two nightstands, walk-in closet and sliding glass door to the pool and spa.
Guest bedroom one is a second master with King size bed. A 42” TV, five-drawer dresser, loveseat, office desk, ceiling fan and walk-in closet complete the room. Guests staying in this bedroom will enjoy stunning mountain views from both the bedroom and its large furnished patio. The suite also has an ensuite bath with walk-in shower and double sink vanity.
Guest bedroom two has a Queen size bed. A 60" TV mounted on a wall of Brazilian Koa wood, five-drawer dresser, designer sofa, two nightstands, tv cabinet, ceiling fan and walk-in closet complete the room. Guests staying in this bedroom will enjoy stunning mountain views from bed. The suite also has an ensuite bath with walk-in shower.
The open concept floor plan includes a living room, dining room and gourmet kitchen. The living room’s 14’ angled ceiling with clerestory windows and sliding glass doors creates a mid-century modern ambience filled with natural light. A 14’ tall Brazilian Koa wood wall is the focal point of the room and boasts an 85” TV and striking gas fireplace. A sleek 60” chrome ceiling fan, plush L-shaped leather sofa with chaise and two stylish mid-mod chairs provide for your comfort. Sliding glass doors open to the pool and spa.
The adjacent dining room seats six and features a designer ceramic table , six chairs and retro-modern light fixture. The gourmet kitchen has elegant walnut cabinets, quartz countertops, blue subway tile backsplash, recessed lighting, and five-burner Bosch stovetop. Other appliances include a Bosch oven, Bosch microwave oven, Bosch dishwasher, KitchenAid refrigerator freezer, drip & Keurig coffee makers and a toaster. The kitchen also features a breakfast bar and wet bar that are perfect for entertaining.
A laundry room with sink, powder room and two-car garage complete the interior of this Palm Springs luxury rental.
The house is located within a small residential community called Oceo Palm Springs that has two onsite retail establishments: Palm Springs Underground is a one-of-a-kind restaurant that features themed dining and show experiences. Koffi is a locally owned gourmet coffee shop that roasts their own beans and serves delicious breakfast options including grilled egg sandwiches, fresh baked muffins, cinnamon rolls and more. Twin Palms Estates is one of Palm Springs' oldest neighborhoods. It's located in South Palm Springs and features some of the city's finest examples of mid-century modern architecture.
The Alexander Construction Company almost single handedly changed the face of Palm Springs between 1955-1965, building nearly 2,500 post & beam mid-century modern homes, many of which are located in Twin Palms Estates.
These houses have since been dubbed the “Alexanders,” a majority of which were spearheaded by architect William Krisel (Palmer & Krisel) including their very first tract, the Twin Palms Estates neighborhood in south Palm Springs (1956-59).
Krisel’s use of standardized building elements, switching up footprint orientations and rooflines, and integrating indoor with outdoor living, made the “Alexanders” affordable, appealing and highly sought after … even today. Especially today!
Twin Palms Estates is located just South of East Palm Canyon Drive. It is walking distance to numerous restaurants and bars.
