It was a good stay. The view was gorgeous. House needed a little bit of deep cleaning.

I noted a huge grease stain on my very expensive stamped concrete entry, and several windows were left open to the elements. Lets just say the place was "well used" and due to the customers behavior, some of the bedding had to be thrown away. Usually people that write these comments did something wrong...

The place was excellent. Very eclectic I especially loved the textured walls. It had a 1970’s Tuscany feel to it. Loved the art which was tied in with nature, living plants. Lots of wild life, deer and turkeys… occasional cows coming over the pass. I absolutely loved drinking coffee in the morning overlooking the lake. Bright and vibrant color changes on the trees. There is the occasional dive bombing by the beetles which are tree beetles of sorts…but normal for this time of year. My friends and I laughed because I am a city girl never been up this way, Most people might get freaked out by the flying beetles but I figured it out real quick. Nice place to stay and hey you come to the mountains for the experience. We had a great time. The home is Clean, has good beds, fresh towels and linens. A kitchen I would die for, and the open upstairs… downstairs. Perfect!

This was a great house to stay in for a big group. The host was VERY RESPONSIVE. We had one issue with the shower and she sent a handyman and it was fixed within an hour. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds are comfortable. The deer come eat off the apple tree and turkeys come by to visit. The views from the balconies are wonderful!

This is our second year staying here! We love the location. It’s clean, has enough room for the whole family, and the outdoor patio and decks are fantastic. We will diligently book again next year! Plus she left a yummy jar pickled jalapeño’s.

This home has such an amazing view of the lake. Everything you could possibly need is there for you. We didn't have time to enjoy the kayak's but there are a few for you to use. There are so many beds and enough bathrooms for a large party of people. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and thoughtfully decorated house in a gorgeous setting, overlooking Lake Curlew. Sharlene was very kind, flexible and responsive. A great family gathering. Thank you Sharlene!

Curlew Lake house

Incredible property in a beautiful location. Very spacious and open inside, with plenty of room for our group. Easy and friendly communication with Sharlene. Highly recommend staying here!

Family ice fishing trip

Property is stunning. Love the layers, decor, views, and more. Clean and tidy, everything worked, plenty of room and easy access to everything the area has to offer. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for a remarkable and memorable visit.

Great place in a beautiful setting.

Great property. Perfect for multiple families. It is not that close to the water -- steep hike down trail. We went to nearby State Park to enjoy the lake with the kids. The rail trail is just down the road and offers a family friendly hike along the lake. Owner was helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Great winter getaway!

My family and I rented this house for new years weekend. Great communication with the property owner, and was allowed to check in a few hours early! The view of the lake is beautiful! Close to town and restaurants, about a 10 minute drive. The house is huge, with plenty of sleeping space and restrooms. Overall, a great experience!

Wonderful vacation at Curlew Lake

Sharlene's property has a beautiful view of Curlew Lake. It is very spacious and accommodated our large group with areas for kids, teens, and adults. I was impressed by the many extras provided: spices, condiments, a large variety of cooking pans and serving dishes, games for inside and out, plenty of paper towels and toilet paper. We had a wonderful time with our family and will return to this house if possible in the future.

Spirit of Curlew Lake

The house was beautiful with spectacular views of the lake. The kitchen was a great place to gather with the family. Close to walking trail and not too far from town. Our host was very responsive with communications and helpful with questions. Would definitely recommend to others.

Great place

Good ice fishing! Love the heated tile! 6 guys, all over 50 had a great stay! Having the driveway plowed and sanded was super nice for access! Thank you… took us a while to figure out light switches (might install small labels?). Of course we are all over 50! 😂 awesome place!

Very clean

This is probably the cleanest rental we have ever used! Love the decor. A ton of personality throughout the home. The trail to the water was a bit too steep for us, but that was no issue, as the train trestle is just down the street. The kayaks are awesome. Kids all caught fish. A beautiful home that I highly recommend.

Good Stay

The house was pretty clean. The only thing I would say was negative about the cleanliness is that it had a very musty moisture smell to it that hit you every time you walked in the house after being out and about. The house was very comfortable for my family of 4 as 2-3 other family members couldn’t make it last minute. Ultimately, I would stay again if I had 6-8 people coming along.

Hello Daniel I just went personally to Spirit of Curlew lake to check out misty smell My last guest had not mentioned nor has anyone else... What I did do was double cleaned front loader laundry and changed cleaning supplies to lemon sent . Maybe eucalyptus base cleaning products smelt different to you. Would love to have your party back. Great family time at Spirit of Curlew Lake

We had a great time at Sharlene’s place. The private bay was a big hit! It was a short hike down a little trail which opened up to a quiet bay. We swam and fished there every day. Sharlene provided an aluminum boat and we brought a large inflatable boat. The deep fire pit was also a big plus, with s’mores all around. We played outdoor games in the volleyball area. The kids also played on the swing set on the property. Sharlene always answered my texts immediately and was very helpful. We would definitely recommend this for a family gathering. We had 6 adults, 4 kids and a dog.
