Goldie's Getaway w/Hot tub

You wont want to miss golden hour at Goldies Getaway! Your stay at our serene lakefront property promises to be a relaxing & rejuvenating experience. You can indulge in a variety of outdoor activities like boating, fishing or simply lounging by the shore. Soak in the views in our hot tub with your favorite drink.

Goldies Getaway makes for an ideal vacation spot for couples, families, or group of friends looking to enjoy & create memories. More pictures, check @goldies.getaway
The space
Goldie's Getaway consists of 2 bed 2 bath space with a cozy and comfortable vibe. The common space is the focal point of the house with large windows to look out to the stunning lake. Outside you can enjoy the hot tub, outdoor fireplace, grill or just relax on the bench swing. The backyard is fully fenced for pets to enjoy. Our pet fee is $40.

The primary bedroom features a king-size bed- plenty of room to stretch out and relax.

In the other bedroom, there are two bunk beds, which means you can comfortably sleep up to four people. This setup also makes it a great spot for kids to have some fun.

Overall, Goldie's Getaway is a beautiful retreat that combines comfort, convenience, and relaxation. While the property does not have direct lake access, there are a few options nearby listed below.

Guest access
Guests will access to entire space. Including the laundry room with exterior access only, located behind the outdoor fireplace.

Other things to note
We are located on a dead end, narrow part of the road with no cul de sac/turnaround. Please let us know in advance, if you plan to trailer watercraft(s) and their size.

The home was as beautiful as view of the lake from the living room. I only wish we weren’t so busy and have more time to enjoy it. I would do it again and would recommend it to others.

Super relaxing getaway!

Although the house is hard to find, once you get there you will not be disappointed! The house is so nice and super clean and the view is amazing! Just what we needed for a relaxing weekend.

Great family get-a-way!

Very charming home with an amazing view of the lake! We enjoyed relaxing on the back patio and playing games at the kitchen table. Would definitely consider another visit.

Beautiful house with a beautiful view. Very clean and exactly what you see in pictures. Owners gave our dogs treats. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

Goldie’s Getaway is lovely!

We absolutely loved our stay at Goldie’s Getaway! The view of the sunset over the lake was spectacular. The house is so clean, and the hosts were very accommodating! I loved the little touches they went out of their way to provide. We would definitely recommend for your next getaway and look forward to coming back.

Beautiful view, great amenities, clean!

The view is what you see when you enter. Really enjoyed that there was comfortable furniture and everything you could need in the kitchen. Check in and out was a breeze and host kept in touch. Early morning coffee on lounge chairs and watching sunset from hot tub was a bonus.

Sweet Sanctuary

Even with 3 days of Thunderstorms during our stay, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Goldie’s. The view, the decor, the lighting…it truly felt like staying at a very upscale hotel. And Lauren the host was very very attentive and welcoming. We will be back!

We love Goldie’s Getaway!

We wanted somewhere to relax with our children and Goldie’s Getaway was the perfect spot. The host was very communicative and accommodating. The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked. We really enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub. The view is perfection! Such a nice, relaxing getaway. Thanks Lauren!

Diamond In The Rough

This house was perfect! We enjoyed the views! Very quite location! The neighborhood when we first entered was a little rough, but when we got to the house it was nice, well kept, very very cute on the inside! The property manager was very very sweet and answered all question in a timely manner! She even left my fur baby some special treats that he loved!! Thank you for making us feel welcomed and comfortable!

The best place I have ever stayed as a VRBO

I just can't say enough great things about this place. It is just the perfect layout. Open floor plan, huge kitchen, living room and grate room with a fireplace, wonderful huge windows and glass doors overlooking the beautiful Lake Whitney. Gorgeous outside space with a porch bed swing, stone patio, hot tub, fenced in for the dogs. On the inside it was filled with everything you needed along with have the most comfortable beds. The walk in shower is just amazing. The host is one of the best I have worked with as well. I also do property management and she is impressive with information along with quick responses to make your stay so much better. Its remote and a small town but you can get to everything you need here. This was a visit that brought so much love and family time since we could all be together comfortably. We had one person who is fighting cancer and he was in heaven here. He had a place to go rest where it is quiet and the air conditioning was perfect. I just cant say thank you enough. Very clean, gorgeous furnishings that are comfortable and beautiful, lots of parking, and a place I would call a 5 star. What a blessing...

I couldn’t love this place more if I owned it. I’m going to jump right to the only negatives, only because I want to leave a true review. The drive is… a little sketch. I’m sure it’s just in my head but when we first drove in I was a tiny bit nervous. ***All that was gone the moment we arrived. The other negative is the parking BUT- that really only applies to my situation AND the host confirmed with neighbors that we could use there drive way for the afternoon. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND any obligation they had to accommodate us. Now- on the real, you can fit 6 cars in the drive way so normally, parking would not be an issue. On to the good stuff! The pictures are beautiful but the reality is breathtaking. Luxury bedding and linens through out. The best walk in shower EVER and a gorgeous soaking claw foot tub. The kitchen is FULLY stocked! From pots and pans to spices! I’m not exaggerating when I say there was nothing you need to bring except your groceries. The back yard deserves a review of its own! Hot tub, daybed swing, rock fire place…. THE VIEW!!! The sunsets are worth watchiny EACH night! 10 out of 10!!!!

Goldie's Getaway (w/ hot tub) is GOLDEN!

My husband has a stressful job in Telecom in Dallas. Every now and then we try to "get away from it all," even if it's just for a long weekend. And we've now discovered the PERFECT place to do that without having to drive very far: Goldie's Getwaway on Lake Whitney, Texas! The home is charming, lovely, very clean, and comfortable. The hot tub is the perfect place to soak up the sun, watch the water skiers & boats, and relax. The kitchen is so well equipped, I baked cookies while I was there. We used the charcoal grill almost every night. The yard is fenced so if you bring your dog(s) they can play outside. The sunset views of Lake Whitney from the huge picture windows at the back of house are SPECTACULAR. Every evening it was picture perfect. Just gorgeous! We absolutely loved our stay at Goldie's Getaway and are already planning our next trip. We loved that it was only a 90-minute drive from N. Dallas. And in just 90 minutes we had peace, quiet, and were very secluded from the traffic and chaos of the city. If you work in the city (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin) I recommend getting away from it all on Lake Whitney! Give yourself a chance to recharge and BREATHE. You'll be glad you did! Oh, and the hosts, Lauren & Paul, are very attentive to your every need. We were extremely pleased with our stay.
