House was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Host was fabulous and communicated with me quickly and answered all questions.

This is a lovely property. Great location - an easy walk if you’d like drinks or dinner at Boho Manor, or a coffee at Lightwave. The backyard is a beautiful oasis. Though the homes are close together, it was very quiet and tranquil.We found the house to be a very relaxing retreat and would happily stay here again.My dog loved the yard and neighborhood, and felt little need to bark. Would be extremely comfortable staying at the house with him again.

Wonderful retreat steps away from Monte Rio Beach

The place was amazing and we were so happy we stayed there. We would go back again in a heartbeat. It is a short walk away from the public Monte Rio beach and restaurants and it is a short drive away from the ocean or Santa Rosa in the other direction.

Great Stay in Monte Rio

We had a great time in Monte Rio. This house is in a great location, is well appointed and very comfortable. We loved that it had a sauna and hot tub. We also loved the backyard; very private and nicely landscaped. I highly recommend it!

Sanctuarie in Monte Rio

Lovely spot near the river. The house was small but has a lovely garden just perfect for enjoying a sunny morning. We didn’t take advantage of the hot tub or sauna - maybe next time!

Rustic Modern

We would've given 5 stars and understanding that we're still in winter, but the garden looked way better in the pictures. That aside we had a wonderful time and loved the little town, a lot!

The photos do show the garden in the summer, and while we do our best to keep the garden looking good year round, the winter (especially the rainy months) brings its own challenges. We hope you can come back in the summer and stay while the flowers are blooming!

Nice quaint house

The house was great nice layout, but the back deck is very slimy and I fell and I had to go to the ER and I’m still on pain meds.

Great Cottage, great location, lots of amenities!

We had a great time staying in this charming cottage. It was a perfect starting point to head to the ocean—Bodega Bay and Jenner as well as local hiking trails through the Redwoods. The kitchen was well stock with dishes, pots/pans, etc. There was even a crock pot! We took advantage of bbq grill a couple of evening. We all enjoyed the sauna. The enclosed yard provided a safe environment for our dog. The property management team was fabulous with fast responses to all of our questions and needs. We highly recommend this rental.

Could be a gem…but

Unmatched dishes, one teaspoon, every surface and cupboards filled with glassware ( enough for a small commercial bar), multiple utensils but all in terrible condition (including pots and pans). Bathroom and closets stuffed with towels, blankets, miscellaneous junk, no hangars ( but no room for a single guest item). Exterior maintenance marginal with little yard work and a broken gate. If you like leaving your belongings on the floor or in the living room… this place is for you. Single handle faucets made control of water temp very difficult and the hot water was dangerously hot.

We did forward your email to the owner after your departure and they have made many improvements since. New kitchenware and cookware were added. Yard service is scheduled bi-weekly and as needed. We are sorry you did not enjoy the home or the stay and we hope to impress you in the future.

This is a sweet house, my family and I have stayed 3 times. It is a great location and for the most part comfortable and clean. However there were a lot of disappointments. The back yard is advertised as pet secure but it is not and our dog escaped. This made it challenging to have the dog outside. The back yard has not been taken care of, there is leaf debris everywhere on the deck and on the long grass. This is a vermin and fire hazard. We found dirty pots/pans in the cabinet and the blender was filthy. After cleaning it I it ended up not working. On the first day I called the property manager because the microwave was not working and one of the cooktop burners was also not working This was also the case in 2020 when I last stayed at this house and it was disturbing to find it still broken. The property manager said she would get back to me about the microwave but with I never heard anything. For the cost we would expect things to be in better condition.

We found this cottage very cozy and very roomy for two couples. The garden and patio can be a little messy from the leaves falling from the huge beautiful bamboo trees, but was very tranquil and had a lot of room to socialize. The back unit which has the sauna in it can be used as a quiet office if somebody has to get some work done without disturbing others. A easy walk to Monte Rio beaches and town. Guerneville is 15 minutes away and has more restaurants and shops. The coast at Jenner is also close with beaches and hikes. Don't recommend the Boho manor for food which is two blocks away but go have a drink at their bar because the building and the views of the river are something that shouldn't be missed. The hot tub worked flawlessly and is very private. We would use this home again in the future.
