A true Rocky Mountain get away. This majestic 3 bed/2 bath cabin is nestled at 9550' overlooking the Animas River in the San Juan Mountains. Boasting a 360 degree mountain view, this cabin has all the elements needed for an unforgettable vacation. It combines old world mining heritage and decor with modern luxuries. Located 2 miles north of Silverton on 5 private acres, the outdoor options are unlimited. Walking, hiking, biking, fishing & ORV riding is directly out the front door. Whether you are seeking the ultimate outdoor adventure or unplugging for some rest and relaxation, Peace of Mine is for you! 4x4 or AWD vehicles recommended in the winter months.

Absolutely loved this house. The attention to detail, the views, accessible to the Alpine Loop and most of all the beds! I would love to know the exact mattress in the master bedroom! Highly recommend

This place is incredible. Besides the house being beautiful, the location just outside of Silverton on CR 2 which makes it perfect for SXS riding the Alpine loop. You can pull out the driveway and head up in to the mountains. Also the parking is great, we parked a 30' gooseneck for the UTV's plus truck and smaller car with plenty of room to unload the trailer, etc.

Wonderful place to stay

This house was perfect for our two families to spent time together. The views are spectacular in all directions. Things were as described. Beds were quite comfortable which is truly my priority. Check in and check out was simple and easy. Hosts were responsive. This place was enjoyed by all of us. The area is amazing and we'll be back to explore more.

Wonderful house, great kitchen, incredible views.

We had a fantastic stay. So well appointed with great kitchen and lots of nice little touches to make the place feel unique. Gorgeous views. Close to town. Road well plowed in the winter. Very responsive to questions. Hope to stay there again!

Amazing property!

This is probably the nicest property in Silverton. Very nice secluded cabin with only a few minutes drive to downtown Silverton. Right off the river. Easy access to everything in Silverton including Silverton Mountain. Very nice inside. All comfortable beds and an amazing deck. Check in process was seamless and the property manager is very responsive. We plan to stay here again!

More than you expect!

The pictures do not do this place justice. There are amazing views from every window and if you’re not looking out the window, the house decor is amazing too! Bonus: there’s a mama moose and her twins across the river. We spotted them several times during our week there. This is a truly wonderful place to stay!

We loved our stay at Peace of Mine! The home is artfully designed and decorated and provides a functional layout. All of the beds are comfortable and there are plenty of towels and other linens. It is exceptionally clean. The property managers are helpful and made the check-in process very easy. Above all, the views are unbelievable! We greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Silverton home and would love to come back in the future.

Best ever

We’ve been vacationing in Colorado for 10 plus years. We have agreed this is the best house house so far. If you want a true mountain retreat with 360 degree views and all the comforts of home this is the one. Not including the decor and furniture is spot on. Will definitely be back.

Best place ever!

This home is absolutely beautiful! The inside is decorated so incredibly. It is such a unique place- my husband wants their designer contact information, because it is truly a dream inside! We rarely left the home during our stay, because it was just too awesome. The views from the porch were breathtaking- autumn colors in full swing. We saw moose walking down to the water one morning and it was such a cool experience. The fire pit outside was much enjoyed. I can't think of a single improvement for this home. It was our favorite rental during our 3 week Colorado elopement/honeymoon. Thank you for the great stay!

Lux Mountain Getaway

It is obvious that so much thought went into creating this space. The setting is amazing to start, then layer in all the little details that make this place stand out for me. Conveniently located not too far from gas, restaurants and groceries. The exterior of the home is beautiful, set above the Animas River on the outskirts of this historic town. Stepping inside we explored all of the thoughtfully designed space from the decor to the fixtures in every room. This looks like a model home but includes all of the things you need to live. Even the salt and pepper shakers were gawked over:). Loved the side table books, fluffy rugs,and creative use of items like the metal hands for towel holder in bathroom. Living Room and Bedroom space was comfortable with lighting options galore. Washer, dryer were convenient feature as well as the electric shades for sunny days- those windows were great for star gazing at night. Lots of closet space and plenty of kitchen supplies. Highly recommended- we plan to return.
