Lovely secluded home on Goat Island; private access by boat only

Island Retreat! Full of character and charm, this Goat Island home is the perfect vacation retreat located on the Intracoastal Water off the Isle of Palms. The island is unique in that it has no automobile access and is surrounded by Marshland. The house is located only a few minutes boat ride from the Isle of Palms Marina.

To rent this home, you must:
1. Have your own boat with you to access the property, or...
2. Rent a boat through the IOP Marina. Special rates for Island Realty guests.
3. MUST BE 25 years of age or older, ID will be required.
4. Currently there is NO OVERNIGHT TRAILER PARKING at the marina. Please contact the marina for questions on trailer parking options.
5. Call in for availability & rate details - this property is not bookable online
6. All trash must be removed from Island by renter (no dumpsters have to take home with you)

Goat Island House has the following amenities:

3 bedrooms: 2 with king beds, 1 with a full size bed.
3 baths: 2 with Jacuzzi tubs/showers, 1 with regular tub/shower.
Fully equipped kitchen: large Refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, blender, dual fuel range, gas grill, dishwasher.
Central air and ceiling fans in all rooms.
275' pier w/20' floating dock.
Screened front porch with sound system and picnic table.
Big back deck with hammock.
DirecTV with surround sound. This home does not have internet service.
Linens included.

Guest pays $100 clean fee for stays less than 1 week. Pet Friendly for Dogs with $300 pet rent. Please give us a call to reserve your stay with one of our Vacation Planners!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second year staying at Goat Island house. Love the exclusivity of being on an island yet near the marina and restaurants. The boat is always in the water and ready to go at a moments notice. By the way, there is good depth of water at the float dock at low tide so exiting at anytime is a good thing. From our dock, we travel the ICW north and did some great fishing in Bulls Bay or traveled south to Charleston Harbor and Shem Creek for dinner. Priceless!!

It is a beautiful home .We recommend bringing some more towels as there were only a few .we thoroughly enjoyed the dock and the screened in porch. The cleaning at the house could have been better. Dirty footprints in the bath tub and dirty wet blankets left in the washing machine started to sower causing a smell throughout. This would not stop us from renting again. The house is in the perfect location for taking trips to the islands by boat. Great memories with our children.

The dock and it's design remind us of our old home where I raised my children, on the south side of town, Stono River. For the 2nd year, we have celebrated my son's birthday there. We alert our friends of where we will be, and so many stop by throughout the week and say Hi! These familiar fishing waters allow my son and his friends to jump on the boat anytime to go fishing. It is dreamy in that regard! We hope to come back!

Spent every evening on the covered dock and nights enjoying the spacious screened in porch. Floating dock was perfect for our 21' boat and we made regular day trips up and down the ICW, and to the marina store across the way. Cooper made sure we had everything we needed and was quick to respond with questions about check in/check out, etc. Will definitely be back!

This is our 2nd stay at the goat island house and everything was wonderful. we stay on the dock the whole time unless were on the boat fishing. Caught some huge Reds and Black drum right off the dock. We will be back!
