Serenity Meets Style - Mid-Century Zen Haven

- Whether you have come to visit Ocala for work or play; whether you are a small group of friends, a family, or are visiting with your "fur- babies", at Stay Zen we aim to provide you with a relaxing haven to come to at the end of your busy day. We are located just minutes away from the heart of Downtown Ocala where you can explore all that our beautiful little city has to offer. We are of course known for our beautiful springs such as Silver Springs, Juniper Springs and Rainbow Springs (which is a little further south). Don't miss the Ocala National Forest and Payne's Prairie. There is a nearby zip line, and if you're into scuba diving, check out Devil's Den.
We have provided the amenities you will need to feel comfortable and completely at home after your busy day.

Cute little place that was very accommodating. Everything was labeled thoughtfully which was appreciated. It was also really clean and comfortable. Would definitely come back next time we’re back in Ocala.

Great location

Every kind of appliance and very clean. Close to downtown Ocala with great restaurants close by. Clean linens & towels, with comfortable beds. Nice quiet neighborhood as well.

Very Weird Experience NOT PET FRIENDLY

I rented this property for a week to buy a new home in the area. listing stated it was pet friendly with addl fees etc. No problem. Upon check in, we discovered there is a no pets on the furniture rule. I followed the rules but never would have accepted those conditions had I known up front. As we drove 1k miles with our belongings in a truck which we put in storage, changing the reservation would have lost me 2k then I would have had to find another place to stay. One morning I went outside to do my nails to ensure cleanliness. I left a nail tool and packaging on the table outside, forgot. The table is right across from a ring camera.Then that afternoon while we were at the beach, the host messaged me on vrbo, asked if all was well. stated she needed to stop by to water a plant on the porch. What? Weird but ok, it is your house, I have no right to say no. We finish up at the beach, drive to the rental. The host Carla arrives. I go out to speak with her. The first words out of her mouth were " What Is Going On Here!!!" I was taken aback. She wasted my time for about 40 minutes, all the while trying to LOOK IN the gosh darn house. I finally said Ok Bye and went inside .I can only surmise she was monitoring our activity in the yard and disliked the papers. A potted plant being watered was essential to her but the grass is as tall as my dog in areas? Come on. Another sign in her house said no peeing in yard...unless neighbors who I never saw reported, she is video monitoring.

Funeral

The home was the best stocked home I have ever stayed in. Carla thought of everything!! It was clean and she responded quickly to any questions I had. I would gladly t stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

Backyard not maintained

We selected this property for me, my husband and two small pups based on the online info. While the home was clean and very well stocked, we were disappointed that the backyard grass was overgrown which prohibited use by us or our dogs. If you plan to use the fire pit, and have pets make sure the yard has been maintained. Also, the internet was not working when we arrived and the communication from the owner was not forthcoming. Lastly, while the majority of the neighborhood appeared to be pleasant. There are two immediately adjacent homes that appear to be vacant and condemned for sometime which presents a security concern.

Visit to Silver Springs

This house is extremely clean. Carla was easy to contact and answered questions quickly. Our plan was to go to Silver Springs and Paynes Prairie Preserve which both were very easy to get to from this location. Quick drive to downtown where there are several really good restaurants. We did not feel unsafe in this neighborhood (brand new police & fire station a block away), but noticed many properties including this one have large signs indicating the property is under surveillance or no trespassing.

Enjoyed stay!

The stay was great. The house had everything needed for 5 nights stay. The host left us a welcome basket with a couple waters and snacks. A very nice touch. I would recommend this cute and nicely decorated house to anyone looking to stay in close proximity to downtown Ocala.

Aptly Named Zen Haven!

My husband and I had the perfect stay at this adorable house…the best I ever had at a rental. The property exceeded our expectations. Clean, clean, clean with very minimalist and zen like decor, as the name would suggest. Carla was an amazing host and provided super fast & helpful responses to any questions. Carla also anticipated her guests needs by ensuring the house was well equipped for her guests (I appreciated the yoga mat!). The house is right down the road from the center of Historic Ocala, where you will find many great restaurants and cafes and there are parks close by where we walked our dog each day. If we visit Ocala again, we will definitely stay here!

Quite possibly the best ever

Carla was amazingly responsive and accommodating. The place is more spacious than the pictures show, and every last detail was immaculately executed, even down to a sign on a few frozen food items in the freezer that said “Help yourself!” Everything was immaculate and the design obviously took a great deal of thought and effort to wonderful results. 11 out of 10.

Zen House was Awesome

This cute little house with lots of character was such a nice place to stay. Carla was so responsive and checked in on us throughout the stay. The house is an older house redone. The wood floors are beautiful and the other floors are perfect for fur babies. Very comfortable and plenty of room. Kitchen has all new appliances and ice maker worked! Very comfortable bed. Fenced in back yard with a cute patio to sit. Only issue would be the steps for an older couple. They are steep and no handrail to get in. We would stay here again. Very quiet street and neighborhood.

Perfect little place…

Perfect for us in a great location. Easy access to everything in Ocala. Loved all the little extras and the dogs had a big time in the large fenced yard and walking the neighborhood. We’ll definitely book again!

Peaceful place to stay

Zen's Den was a peaceful place to stay. Carla was a great host and ensured we had everything we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. Close to everything.

Great house

I had a great stay here. Only 4 mins from downtown Ocala. Very clean. Nice bed & pillows. Great communication with host. Will definitely stay again.
