From start to finish, this was a great experience. I asked questions prior to booking and the host answered them and provided additional information I didn’t think to ask. It’s in a beautiful location, (great reprieve from spending all day at the track) with groceries, dinner and the track all within 10 minutes. As this was my first rustic experience, I was so nervous but it was exactly that, rustic but clean. Great place for our large group to hangout and get some sleep.

NASCAR trip

We loved staying in the cabin. We were able to cook a big breakfast, prepare sandwiches, and spend the day at the races! Then we came home to relax at our cabin. It was very peaceful and enjoyable.

Great weekend stay

The cabin was very nice. Secluded and quiet, set way back in the woods. The lake was pretty but we didn’t use the various watercraft available, but it did look like it would be fun to do so. The cabin was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We really appreciated the nice gift basket of goodies too. We would definitely come back again!

Comfy

This place was very comfy and quiet. Its a great place to just lay your head and relax during your travels. Very welcoming and full of beautiful scenery. Also not too far from plenty of sights and beaches in the area. The unit I stayed in had its own stove, fridge, microwave, and shower which I felt would have been perfect had we been stuck inside due to rain. Overall I'd definitely come back again here sometime

A place to lay out heads

The cabin was very secluded….we stayed at the cabin while working the faster horses festival. The location was great. Bed were comfortable. The cabin was very clean. The only thing missing was the “laundry bag” we were supposed to put everything in. We just made a pile in the bathroom hoping this was ok. We would stay there again if we work it next year

David, Thank you for the kind review. We actually did not expect you to remove the linens. I apologize for the confusion on the laundry bag. We actually put them in the bottom of one of the dressers. We will put them out for easy access for future guest if they want to remove the linens. We hope to see you again in the future. Regards John Costin

This was the perfect quiet retreat for what we had in mind. Beds we’re comfortable, cabin adequate but not spacious. Host left nice amenities like welcome basket and lots of firewood. Canoe was used, at no extra charge, for fishing on small lake right on property. Would recommend for those looki g for camp like experience

Very peaceful!

Perfect cozy cabin with just enough amenities to stay in on the day it rained. We even played the mini games to pass time. We were enjoying it so much that we decided to extend by another night. Since it was available .Host John was very accommodating and communicative. Will definitely be back! Thank you again :)

Tranquility

If you’re looking for fancy this place isn’t for you. If your looking for clean, comfortable ,peaceful, quiet, and seculded it’s here. All this and an amazing what seemed to be new and soft bed made this place just what we needed for our little mid summer getaway. We were visiting friends 1 mi away so it was perfect. Although we brought everything we needed it was stocked with all the essentials and more. Thank you for everything John and we’ll see you next year!

A Great Little Getaway

My Dad and I needed a place to stay that was near Michigan International Speedway for the NASCAR race. We stayed two nights and three days. The cabin was small but perfect for us since we didn't bring a lot and didn't need a lot of space. The bed rooms were nice and the beds slept well. They had left us some snacks and things for the race that were very helpful. The small kitchen was also useful and we were happy to see the small coffee maker. We had no issues using the appliances or shower. The shower was very small but did the job. The water heater was loud and would come on at random times at night but it didn't keep me awake. The overall area is very wooded and secluded but feels like a small neighborhood with the cabins all in a circle and the lake down at the bottom of the hill. There were some trails you could walk as well and I used in the morning for a little walk in the nice weather. We had a great time and if we win more tickets to more races, we will be back for another stay.
