For context, the pool is professionally serviced twice per week, typically mid-week and again during guest turnover so it&rsquo;s common to not see them servicing the pool. We&nbsp;closely monitor water quality to keep it clean, clear, and safe for guests.<br /> Swimmer&rsquo;s ear can unfortunately occur even in properly maintained pools (and even in the ocean), often related to moisture being trapped in the ear after frequent swimming. That said, we take feedback like this seriously and will continue to keep a close eye on pool maintenance to ensure everything is in top condition.<br /> We truly appreciate you staying with us and your thoughtful feedback, and we hope to welcome you back for another stay in the future.

Although the property is close to the road, the road does not have a lot of traffic and the house is oriented toward the water. Guests never complain of traffic noise or other problems from the location. Once you are settled in the house, you will not notice the road at all.

The hot water heater has been replaced! On this island, even something that simple can be a challenge, but the owner replaced the unit and the problem is solved.

So glad you enjoyed your stay and that you would recommend to others. We apologize for the issues you had with the hot tub during your stay. It’s definitely not the norm. The power going out on the island multiple times created a complication with the pump system and would not recover without special maintenance support. We have addressed this recovery process with our team through training and are also making a system modification to eliminate this potential in the future.

We are so sorry for the sewage smell. It was related to the island water issues, and it has been resolved.

We are glad you enjoyed our beach, but very sorry for the issues you encountered. Fortunately the owners arrived July 1 and have already addressed most of your concerns. The underside of the house has been completely cleaned out and will be maintained and pressure washed. They are also installing dry storage underneath the house that will get most of the items completely out of view. Of the hundreds of guests who have stayed in the house over the years, only a couple of the lightest sleepers have ever complained about road noise. We now have white noise machines available, which drown out potential outside noise. But again, as you can see from the many reviews, this has not been an issue for the vast majority of guests. While it is disappointing to have another house being built next door, there’s not much we can do about that, but at least construction will be done in October and it is owned by a very nice family. This property is one of the most popular on the island, renting over 40 weeks a year. It achieves that by being fairly priced and delivering a great guest experience.
