Great location and view

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location for town, dining, stores, grocery. The balcony had an excellent view, especially at sunset. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed sagged in the middle and the pillows were hard as rocks.

Great location

Super convenient location, easy access to parking garage (directly below), great Mexican restaurant (in building), and the Quicksilver lift is across the street. Thank you for sharing your condo!

Really enjoyed the location of the condo. Square footage is rather small, not sure more than two people would be comfortable even though the posting indicates that it sleeps 4. Sofa is not as pictured, and needs to be replaced as it's sagging significantly. For this unit, it's all about location, location, location. Right across the street from Quiksilver. Mi Casa happy hour is worth it and will be the most affordable dinner you'll have in Breck - and you don't even have to leave the building. Overall, we were happy.

Apartment clean, well stocked and functional. No hair dryer and humidifier not working. Garage very convenient and useful. I will use it again!

Hi and thank you! The complex is an older one in Breck and they are slowly making updates as budget allows but yes location is awesome! We definitely could have brought you a hair dryer and new humidifier. We are right on Main St. But I will make sure we restock. Thanks and Happy New Year!

Nice condo with Safety Issues

First the good news: Its a nide condo in good condition and in a great location. We really enjoyed the views of the fall foliage. The kitchen peninsula doubles as a bar-stool type eating area which our kids loved. Utensils in the kitchen were stocked better than average when compared with other VRBO places. Now the bad: The water heater was turned up WAY too high. During our 4 day stay each one of us was burned due to the temperature of the hot water. This is quite a detractor and a huge safety issue, especially for two small children. The carpet in the bedroom was worn at the entry and the tack strip was poking through. Two people stepped on it and hurt their feet. We covered this with a throw rug and called the management company. They did send someone out however we asked him to come back later as our son was ill and sleeping at the time. He never did return. WiFi signal was so weak it was completely useless.

Hello, and thanks for vacationing with us! We are happy to hear you had a great time, and enjoyed the awesome views, the in town location, and the well stocked kitchen. We are sorry to hear of your issues, and have taken steps to remedy them. We had a licensed company inspect the water heater, and they reported it was set properly. Perhaps mixing the hot and cold water differed from your home, but the water heater temperature is in a absolutely safe range. We have had a carpet company repair the issue with the tack strip by the front door, sorry we could not take care of this while you were here. We had a staff member test the wireless signal after your departure, and verified it was fully operational and sending full signal. Perhaps there was an issue with your device. We appreciate you bringing these things to our attention, and hope to see you again soon.

The water pressure in the shower was fabulous! The large porch had a beautiful view of Maggie pond and the mountains. The bed was uncomfortable, furniture old and dingy and the lack of coffee annoying. Our stay was great but I was underwhelmed with this property.

Short walk across the street was convenient to get to ski school and the Quicksilver lift. Also you can walk to all the shops and restaurants within a few minutes so we never had to drive. An older unit but clean and provides all you need. Would definitely recommend.

Really hard pressed to come up with criticisms. Hot water heater is a little undersized. A dead bolt on the door would be nice. The Mi Casa menu on the mantle was way out of date. Like I said, not much to beef about.

It was either too hot, had to leave patio door open, or too cold, had to increase heat in bedroom to help warm up living/kitchen area. Instructed by management to use breaker to turn furnace off and on prior to thermostat replacement. First attempt by management to fix thermostat resulted in breaker not working so no heat at all one night. Bedroom window latch was broken, bar stools had dried food spots and sleeper sofa cushions shedding feather stuffing and uncomfortable to sit on. Checked out one day early and management refunded one night but no recompense for the three miserable nights.

Reviewer Comments: Unit was in a great building but this particular one was in a little dark hall behind the laundry area with just a door handle lock. We did not stay as we felt our belongings would be at risk. Hosts never responded, ever, to our calls and Airbnb kept 100% of our money for a week almost $1000. even kept the cleaning fee for a unit which was never used. We understood keeping a night or even two but keeping a week and cleaning, etc. was wrong. Never again will we go with Airbnb as they claim their hosts have the right to determine all refunds. They were not helpful at all.

It was just two of us, so the condo was the perfect size. We really enjoyed the condo. It was clean and had all the kitchen amenities we needed. We also liked being so close to the QuickSilver Lift on Peak 9 and Main Street.

Would not recommend

When we got to the condo via shuttle, we had trouble locating the “lockbox”. We hadn’t checked outside the door to begin with, but when we called the resort manager, the lady who answered was rude. After a long day of flights and driving, we were ready to just take a shower and go to bed. Unfortunately, we had NO hot water. I called and after 30 minutes, we finally had hot water.... for 5 minutes. This issue was fixed the next day. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and we ended up sleeping on the sofa couch (better, but not by much) the last 2 nights. You could hear everything going on in nearby rooms from someone walking to running water. It reminded me of a cheap hotel. It was in a great location, close to many great restaurants and coffee shops!

Reviewer Comments: Love the location of Der Steiermark ~ we have been staying there for almost 20 years; however, after this year we won't be going back. The bed and the sofa were both very uncomfortable and worn out (no support). We came back more tired than when we left for vacation due to poor sleep each night. The most comfortable place to sit was on the deck in the metal deck chairs. We will be looking for another location for upcoming trips.

Short Getaway

The property is in such a great location- across the street from Peak 9 and right near all the fun offered by Main Street. The condo itself is just as pictured and described. Hope to return!
