MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENTS:
Two night minimum stays are the default.
Three night minimum stays are required for: Labor & Memorial Day/s, July 4, ALL October Weekend's, Thanksgiving, Parent/ Weekend events in September,
Graduation Events in May for VMI, W&L, and SVU.

MAXIMUM stay is two weeks.
TO RESERVE:
you must be 23, and have a valid drivers license. The credit card used to make this reservation must be presented at the time of check-in along with your Driver's license. The person making the reservation must be present to register, and stay on-site with guests. In other words, do not reserve this cabin for friends or others. If you do not plan to be here, please do not reserve.

Windymile Cabin offers a 2 bedroom private setting 6 miles from The Va Horse Center, and 10 miles to downtown Lexington.
Ideal for Boaters and Kayakers, as it is five minutes to the Goshen Pass Launch.
Enjoy views from the front patio of this newly constructed Lexington VA rental cabin. Pet friendly (dogs only) , with a two acre fenced yard.
Sit with your friends and Watch the magnificent sunset from the fire ring. As the charcoal grill gets going and the stars begin to twinkle, you'll realize just how much you've been needing this.
The cabin offers privacy with it's two bedrooms separated by it's length-one at each end, off of a central hallway.
The Kitchen and Living room combo adjoin the patio and front yard with no curbs or steps. This coupled with the picnic bench and fire ring draws you outdoors. Especially in the cold weather. You gather with your friends around the fire, and reconnect. It is one of those places where you just don't want to sit inside!
WIndymile - Lexington VA Cabins offers one level accessibility with no steps or curbs. The cabin is located off a 1/2 mile driveway. Thea area immediately around the cabin is well fenced, and is surrounded by a larger 2 1/2 acre fenced area (This is field - Tall grass). All of this is surrounded by the owners private 80 acre farm. Windymile - Lexington VA cabin rental offers a quiet alternative to the hustle and bustle of other lodging facilities. The VA Blue Ridge Mountain Shenandoah Valley views are spectacular. My 14 year old daughter and I stayed for 3 nights while she competed at a show at the Virgina Horse Center. It was lovely to have a peaceful and relaxing place to come back to after our long and exhausting days at the VHC. Communication with Audrey was great from the start. The property and views are gorgeous, especially each morning as we left at dawn for the show. The beds are comfortable, plenty of hot water, well equiped kitchen, and the washer and dryer were a godsend. Can't recommend Windymile highly enough.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

My family and I took a trip up from Florida while I had some work in the area, and we were hoping for a relaxing place to stay that was still close to everything and this was absolutely perfect! The views were beautiful, the open space was great for the kids to run and play and we were just minutes from hiking, swimming, great food and downtown. Check-in was super easy, and the home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Audrey was wonderful to communicate with, too. We’d definitely come back!

Graduation Stay

Needed a clean & comfortable place to stay that was dog friendly for graduation. This was an excellent choice! The house is as described and even though it’s only 600 sq feet you do not feel cramped! We had 4 adults and 2 labs. The beds are comfortable and even has extra blankets if needed. You know no one has slept on your sheets because you make your bed with clean sheets provided. Loved that! The owner worked with us for a quick check in as we were running late for graduation. Ms. Audrey was a great communicator and always replied with an answer quickly. Very quiet, private and picturesque. Plenty of cows, deer, rabbit and beautiful skies! Would recommend for a short or long stay!

A wonderful respite!

If you are looking for a place to breathe fresh air with a view of pastures and the mountains, this place is for you. The owners were accessible for questions about local happenings with a quick text. The fenced-in yard and no steps anywhere were great for our dogs. The stars were incredible. The kitchen is well-supplied. If you want something more than taking in the view and relaxing, Lexington is a cute town and is just 20 minutes away. We'll be back!

Spring break trip

We planned this a little last minute for the final weekend of my kids' spring break. The property is absolutely stunning! And we felt lucky to find somewhere that would accommodate our 3 dogs, especially on short notice. Audrey was the loveliest host and made the check-in process go smoothly. The accommodations could not have been nicer. We had everything we needed and more. We would love to go back some day!check-in

Stunning views with rolling hills and cows! Perfect location for visiting Lexington, Staunton and surrounding area. The cabin matched the description and Audrey was very accommodating. Would definitely stay again if in the area.VRBO is making me rate the winery which was not part of our trip but I gave it a 5

Beautiful Spot

My two boys and I have been coming to Windy Mile for 4 years now. We absolutely love this spot. It's quiet,peaceful, and away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cabin is always clean and always has supplies for us to cook etc.. Audrey is an amazing host. This year she accommodated us with an extra day at the last minute. Checking in and leaving is always easy. Will definitely continue coming here with my boys.

The Best

The cabin is awesome, just we were looking for! It was very quiet and peaceful, the area was such a great place to visit. Lovely getaway!

Cabin is remote and very private, but an easy drive to Lexington. Very clean and well equipped. We had our 2 Labs with us and they LOVED the the large fenced property and walks along the lovely 1/2 mile driveway. Sunsets and stars are remarkable and memorable. Audrey is very friendly and responsive. This is a great place to stay if you like peace and quiet with a little room to roam. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Thanksgiving week!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Very clean, tidy, and comfortable. And the views - especially morning and evening - are absolutely fantastic! Photos can't do it justice. I've been coming to a cottage in Rockbridge Baths for most of my life, and this offers the best views of the mountains I've seen.

Perfect Writing Retreat

This place was a little slice of heaven for me. I was looking for a peaceful, rural retreat in the mountains where I could hang out with my two dogs and work on writing my next novel. This was the perfect property for such a time and purpose. Not to mention that everywhere you look there is a view good enough for a postcard. I loved every minute of my time, and so did the pups!

Mountain Getaway

The scenery surrounding the cabin was absolutely beautiful. Saw several deer which I love. There is a very long driveway, but has plenty of gravel so it wasn't dusty at all. The hostess was very kind and responsive. Very nice mountain getaway.

Peaceful secluded getaway

Pulling down the long driveway, passing open fields, looking at the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains we knew immediately we picked the right spot. We just sold our house in CT and are in the process of moving to NC. We needed a peaceful place to stay as we wait for our house to be completed. We stayed for 12 nights and would have stayed longer if there was availability. We brought our two dogs and the fenced in yard was perfect! Waking up to the cows near the fence was such a neat experience for the dogs. Check in was quick and easy. The cabin had everything we needed to cook dinners. WiFi worked well which was great to get schoolwork done. The sunsets were incredible! We will be back next time we need a private getaway!

Its proximity to Lexington VA and The VA Horse Center make it an ideal location for a Vacation Destination in the Shenandoah Valley of VA
