Trail Side Inn- Near Cherry Springs & On the Trail

Home near Cherry Springs! Directly on an entrance to the ATV trails and perfect for “Star Gazing” on the highest point (elevation 2424 ft) of Denton Hill, Coudersport.
Gas Pumps - 24 hour, self serve, pumps are within 100 yards.
Perfect for those looking for outdoor adventure where you can ride the trails, enjoy hiking, biking, paddling and kayaking on the pond or just relax and gaze at the stars on the porch or by the fire pit. Clean home just a short distance to several state parks including Cherry Springs.
The entire home is available for your use. The main floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with a living room, breakfast nook, dining room, kitchen and washer and dryer. The living room has a twin size ottoman "pull out" suitable for 1 person.
The basement has one bedroom while the rest is unfinished it's perfect for hanging snowmobile coats and leaving wet boots to dry.
The front of the home has a large deck with 4 Adirondack chairs and a gas grill.
Our fire pit is located near the pond and has 4 Adirondack chairs and a picnic table.
There is plenty of parking. The driveway circles all the way around the home with 3 separate entrances. The basement is great for hanging snowmobile clothing after a long days ride or for leaving your muddy boots from hiking.
We do not offer Wi-Fi however there is plenty of cell service.
There are 2 smart TV's with Roku and Direct satellite TV.

This is a quiet place to stay and relax. The host gave axcurate directions and we were able to pack accordingly. We had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. We would recommend for friends and/or family looking for a nice stay.

This is an excellent property that has plants of space and amenities. It is very clean and comfortable. I would stay there again. The owner is super nice and easy to work with. The pond and fire out with chars were great too.

Home had more than expected. Cleanliness, comfortable beds, spacious, plenty of outside deck space and gas grill. The pond and firepit area was nice, just wish we had a chance to do some fishing but it rained 3 out of the 4 days we stayed!! Maybe next time we'll have better weather!

Wonderful stay

This property was simply amazing. It had plenty of everything to make our stay stress free. Kids enjoyed all the surrounding property to kick balls, ride bikes etc. can’t wait to stay here again!

A home away from home.

Thank you, Kelly, for hosting us! Your home is beautiful, clean, comfortable, easy to find and a short drive to the Cherry Springs public observation area. We enjoyed stargazing in our beach chairs (easier on the neck and more comfortable than the ground) and I photographed the Milky Way. I really enjoyed the BOSE radio/CD player in the kitchen. Just like home!!

The location is unbeatable

Watching our toddlers and children go outside and run around freely in the mud and puddles after a rain was so heartwarming. They had the time of their life stomping puddles. This home feels so safe & gave our kids life long memories.

Great Property in a Beautiful Area!

Came for the Dark Sky park, we couldve just stayed in the backyard! Hosue was well prepared for our visit, and we all fit very comfortably. Would definitely come back!

Beautiful house

The house was very well stocked and maintained. Worked perfect for our stay with small children and riding the trails. Everyone was able to enjoy themselves. We look forward to our next stay.

We loved our stay at Trail Side Inn! It was perfect for every family member - ages 1 month through 70 years old. Kelly was quick to respond & left thorough instructions for check in/out info. VERY clean & comfortable.

Peaceful

Very clean home with 4 bedrooms. Large deck that overlooks pond. Plenty of room for our family. Bonfire area that is close to pond was nice. We enjoyed our stay and would rent again in the future

Finally stayed in the house by the pond!!!

We have been going up to Potter for nearly 20 some years! We have always wonder about the home behind the pond. We finally got to stay here. The house was amazing. I was a little disappointed in all the lighting from the police station and the dealership. We had to walk out back behind the house to see stars. That is one of our main attractions is the stars. We also thought we would see more wildlife especially with the pond. Nope just 4 geese! But the house all in all was wonderful! Hopefully we will be able to stay again here someday.

Great Property

Beautiful house, property, pond, trails.. All the essentials are provided. Property owner is very punctual, answers all questions quickly and detailed. If you like to fish the pond is great for bass, bluegill. Had a great stay and will be booking again. ATV trails are simple to enter.

Delightfuly Cozy Home in Secluded Wonderland

We booked this place to view the Perseid's Meteor Shower and this property did not disappoint! The home itself was very cozy with all the amenities one would expect. The property was vast and wide open, perfect for long stargazing nights. The neighboring town was quaint and the people were very friendly. Overall my family and I had a wonderful experience and cant wait to come back!

Very clean and well-maintained property given the location that it is in! Really appreciated the amenities, such as the washer/dryer, 2 full bathrooms, and fire pit. The location was a pro and con. Felt very safe where we were given it was across the street from state police. However, this lead to a lot of light pollution making it hard to see the stars. Fortunately, was a 20 minute drive to Cherry Spring State Park, so we drove to see the stars at night. Kitchen had gas range/oven, dish washer, and basic cookwear and utensils. Would recommend getting foil to line the pans. Water had a very copper taste/odor to it. Other than that, it was a great value for a short-term rental property for a large group of friends near Cherry Spring State Park! Would stay again!

House was clean and looked recently renovated. Plenty of space indoors and out. Large pond was great. Very close to all outdoor activities in the area. We were able to go to 4 different state parks and do several hikes in the 2 days we weee there. Great place and will stay again when we get up that way next.
