Welcome to Low Tide Loft.
There is a specific kind of morning that only happens here. You wake up, walk downstairs in your pajamas, and Cookie or Niko has your latte, your avocado toast, or your bagel with lox ready. You take it back upstairs to the rocking chair front porch and decide what Beaufort has in store.
Low Tide Loft is a private one-bedroom loft above Dancing Baristas Cafe ā entirely separate from the cafe, with your own private entrance, your own kitchen, your own porch. The cafe is not a landlord situation. It`s an exceptional amenity steps from your door ā called the best coffee in Beaufort by multiple guests who had no reason to say otherwise.
Beautifully decorated, thoughtfully stocked, and consistently described as feeling far more spacious than the square footage suggests. Perfect for couples, solo travelers, and anniversary stays. 4.98 across 50 reviews. Top 5% of all listings globally.
ā Dancing Baristas Cafe ā The Amenity Right Outside Your Door
Cookie and Niko run Dancing Baristas on the ground floor below the loft. Multiple guests independently call it the best coffee in Beaufort. The bagel breakfast sandwich appears in reviews by name. So does the avocado toast, the lox bagel, and Cookie herself.
Lani walked downstairs for her morning latte and avocado toast with her daughter and called it the bonus of the stay. Amy had the cafe pack to-go sandwiches for a boat trip. Tess had her breakfast order called up when it was ready. Laura said waking up was never that hard at Low Tide Loft because of what was waiting downstairs.
The cafe occasionally hosts afternoon and evening events ā wine tastings, live music, karaoke. The outdoor patio is shared during cafe hours. The indoor loft is always entirely yours. Cookie keeps the music off until she hears movement above in the mornings.
š The Loft
Private upstairs entrance. King bed with separate wall unit for year-round temperature control. Full bathroom. Fully stocked kitchen ā Amy cooked a full anniversary dinner and found everything she needed. Dedicated workspace. Smart TV. Beautifully decorated throughout. No shared indoor spaces with the cafe.
Three bedrooms worth of personality in one thoughtfully designed space. Laura called it tastefully decorated and feeling much more roomy than expected. Every detail considered.
šŖ The Outdoor Spaces
The rocking chair front porch is the first thing guests reach for and the last thing they give up. Morning coffee, Beaufort air, the sound of the trees. Multiple guests have called it the moment the trip genuinely began.
The gated dog area converts pet travelers immediately ā a fenced, private space that Stephanie called perfect for letting dogs decompress from travel energy. For anyone who has arrived with a dog and found no safe outdoor space, the gate makes the booking decision easy.
Patio lights stay on when you return after dark. Seasonal outdoor shower for post-beach cleanup.
š Getting Around
Downtown Beaufort`s Front Street ā restaurants, bars, ice cream, live music, and ferry services to Shackleford Banks and the wild horses ā is 1.5 miles from Low Tide Loft. Most guests rent a golf cart with delivery or take the bikes available on-site.
Navigation note: the route to downtown does not go directly down Live Oak Street. Cut through the parking lot across the street and take the scenic back roads. Every guest who has encountered this found it easy ā on a golf cart or bike it`s part of the experience.
Harkers Island, Atlantic Beach, Fort Macon State Park, and the NC Aquarium are all accessible by car for day trips.
⨠A Note on Fit
Low Tide Loft is above an active neighborhood cafe. If you need complete quiet and a white noise machine won`t do the trick, this may not be the right fit. If you want energy, community, and Beaufort`s best coffee steps from your door ā this is exactly right. The hosts are happy to answer any questions before you book.
The Hosting
Low Tide Loft was built by Bethany and her husband ā purchased in 2022, renovated with intention, and grown into a 4.98 rating through hosting that guests describe specifically: she set up a playpen and sound machine for a guest arriving with a baby without being asked twice, offered early check-in with a door code based on a guest`s own phone number, and sends local recommendations that guests follow and come back to thank her for.
Now managed by Baran Properties ā a 4.92 Superhost team with 571 stays on the Crystal Coast. Bethany remains a co-host. The standard that earned three years of five-star reviews continues. Your stay will be taken care of.
