Perfect hideaway!

Family vacation was perfect here! It’s pretty secluded from the rest of the island and the few neighbors are super helpful and friendly!

Peaceful and Relaxing

Nice place to stay! The outdoor shower is awesome and so is the pier, and having a very short walk to the beach is a plus!

Great Location!

We really enjoyed the location of this house. It was nice to be on the water and spend time on the dock. The walk to the beach is very convenient.

A nice, fun and private location

We really enjoyed the stay. The location is very nice. We swom, caught some crabs and watched scenery on the dock. Sure we are willing to come back.

Amazing!

The house was perfect, it had the most stocked kitchen for appliances and cookware. It was such a wonderful location and this is definitely on our list to return to.

Excellent Family Getaway

This house is in the perfect location - on the sound makes it easy to catch fish or crab off the dock, a very short walk to the beach, and an easy drive to shopping and attractions in either direction. We had a few beautifully sunny days of perfect beach weather and a few rainy days where we found plenty of fun on the dock and around town. The kitchen has every kind of appliance and utensil you would need to make most any meal, all of the bedrooms are nice and comfortable, and the outside shower is super convenient. Would definitely stay here again

Beach Trip With Our Mothers

Our stay was wonderful even during Ophelia. Scott was very nice and always reachable as we stayed in touch due to the hurricane. We were very please with the house and will definitely stay there again for a family vacation.

Love this Cottage!

We had another great stay at Briggadune! Can't say enough good things about the place. The upstairs bath update looks great! Fishing, kayaking, crabbing, swimming, beaching it, cooking, rocking and relaxing, definitely something here for everyone. Scott is a premier host for sure. Very helpful and responds quickly. Looking to book again in the fall!

Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our time at the house. It was clean and had a great view of the sound. The beach was a very easy walk across the street. Our grown boys enjoyed fishing on the pier and we enjoyed watching from the porch rocking in the chairs. Thank you letting us spend some time at your house.

Great Home Space

Briggadune was an awesome home to rent. We really enjoyed the location and sights from the decks. This home had everything we would've wanted or needed to be comfortable. Beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset, the pier on the sound was amazing to deep our feet in on hot days, very short walk to beach. We will be revisiting the house in the future if still available.

Hidden gem!

A wonderful property with beautiful waterfront views of the Sound and a close proximity to the ocean. Lots of space on the decks and a great little sitting area at the end of the dock. A secluded neighborhood that was so peaceful. We listened to the water at night and it lulled us to sleep. This place is even better equipped than noted in the listing. You do have to bring your own sheets and towels though. We had a great time and wonderful weather!

Serenity on the sound

Great location, great view of the water, peace and quiet, no sand or salt spray, the house felt like a home. Best equipped kitchen in a beach house ever. I would have no reservations about taking this property again. Just a suggestion for the future, the bathrooms and water pressure could be improved. Not a show stopper considering how wonderful everything else was.

We loved this house, no smells , it was clean , tons of pots and pans, dishes , glasses and silverware. I cooked every day- there wasn’t one thing I needed that they didn’t have. It was a bit beachy funky in decor- loved every bit of it. Sort of an updated 70’s thing going on. All the appliances worked well , lots of seating ( there were 7 of us). Loved the dock, outdoor shower , and rocking chairs. The neighbors were friendly. We didn’t have one single issue. Even my 85 year old mother in law went up the stairs just fine. Would recommend to anyone!! Beach was just a tiny walk away.

Little piece of paradise

Our family had a blast and made so many wonderful memories at Briggadune. We were shocked how accessible it was to the beach. The views of the water way were incredible. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and rocking on the rocking chairs at night to watch the sunset. We also loved watching the fish jump out of the water right from the dock. The kitchen was stocked with everything (pots,pans,air fryer, microwave,toaster, cookie sheets,etc,). Our kids already asking when we come back

Great stay on the island

Scott's sound front house was a great blend between sound and ocean. I was supprised with how well the kitchen was supplied. It had plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses and pots/pans. I think the only appliance missing was a blender. The rooms were nice, but a little cozy for 8 adults. A/C worked well. The dock and views were amazing. The walk to the beach was one of the shortest and easiest. If you are looking for a comfortable, layed back place to engoy the sound and surf, this is the place to be.

Amazing Views - Great House

Wow! I go to the beach with family most summers and this was our favorite house. The house is on the sound with stunning views from the living and dining room. We cook all our meals and were happy with the kitchen equipment. The house is older with expected wear and charm, but everything worked well. The air conditioning was great. We played many board games, went kayaking on the sound and walked the few blocks to the beach. We are already talking about coming back next year.

Briggadune is our favorite place to stay at EI. It is in a perfect location on the sound in a quiet neighborhood with an easy short walk to the beach. Really enjoyed the swimming, crabbing and star gazing from the pier! Hoping for steps into the water again. Wonderful view from the rocking chairs on the spacious deck. Home/kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Great addition is the outside shower. We never showered inside!! Communication with Scott was great, very helpful and available for any questions. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach. We will come again!!

Hello, I have been coming to Emerald Isle since I was born. My parents rented a cottage on 12th street in the middle row for years until they bought a small chunk of land on Bogue Sound on 20th St. We enjoyed sharing our house with vacationers for years before taking off the market after retirement. My wife and I have been given the chance to share it once again and we hope it will provide great experiences and memories for generations to come.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Seclusion. Our cottage is the lone rental property on 20th St, It has private access to Bogue Sound and is just a 3-4 minute walk to the beach along a public beach access. It truly is the best of both worlds. Trust me after a crowded day on the beach, there's nothing like having your own dock to enjoy the sunset.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

I think our property allows you to be on vacation. It's a fun little house. Not too much to maintain. It's not a giant beach sandcastle just a nice clean place to flop!
