Cozy, pet friendly cabin minutes to lake George village

Location, location, location. Minutes to million dollar beach and lake George village. Shopping, dining entertainment, great escape, outlets, hiking, west mountain and breath taking views. This 3 bedroom log cabin comfortably sleeps 6 people and pet friendly. Has parking for 4 vehicles and can fit a boat. Location on private quiet road. Back yard had a stream running through the back. Very peaceful atmosphere.

New bathroom, and mattresses. Kitchen is equipped with basic cooking needs. charcoal (guest provides) grill. Outdoor seating. This home was built in 1995. It’s properly cleaned between each guest. You are in the woods and you can expect to see wildlife. Do not leave any trash out.

Woodstove and fire pit outside. Wood provided by guests. Self check in lock box- code received day of check in once house is ready. Early check in is not something I can promise but will try my best to accommodate. AC in living/ dining room. Each bedroom has a fan and ac. The house stays cool it’s surrounded by lots of trees and is very shaded. Back doors stay closed. NO SMOKING!

The private road is gravel. 4 wheel drive in the winter is mandatory. The road is tough in winter conditions. Driveway and road are plowed an d salted. Please note this house was built in 1995. Its not a newer home. Its very well loved and maintained. AC units in each bedroom.

Please keep dogs on leashes at all times. Clean up after them. And make sure the pet is added at check out, $150 fee. One pet per stay.

This was a great spot for a family trip to Lake George! The location is absolutely perfect. The house was pretty clean and beds and couch were comfy. The dishes in the cupboards were gross and we had rewash them, but it was probably the people before us. The owner was great and contacted me before hand that the propane grill was broken, but they provided charcoal for the other grill. That takes a little longer so we didn’t get to use it, but it was a nice gesture. The bathroom door lock doesn’t work, which was a big deal for me only because I have two small children who do not believe in personal space. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay and we’d definitely stay again!

Vacation getaway

Stay was good, we had a great time. Some flaws we noticed during the week. But location was perfect!! But When it rained the gutters look liked they haven’t been cleaned out for long time. If you need a handy man my other half is perfect for the job!

This property was a wonderful location, and space! About 5 mins to the village and 5 mins to Dunhams bay where we keep our boat. The house was well equipped with all the tools necessary for a great time. Heather was a wonderful host, and we will be renting from her in the future.

The good and the bad

First the location is great. Minutes (drive) to center of town. Loved the big open room for the family to gather. BUT- The beds were awful. They were cheap, springy and so uncomfortable no one slept well and it made getting up the next day hard as everyone was sore and tired The fan in the bathroom stopped working and five people were sharing one very tiny bathroom with no ventilation. The bathroom door didn't lock- in fact the doorknob fell off in my hand. The side doors had signs asking not to open so the photo of the doors leading to the deck- misleading Internet password is incorrect online- first night we had no internet access, and the remotes were impossible to understand There is electric heating, it's sporadic and you are either hot or cold there really was no in-between. The living room had two baseboard heaters on both outside walls, the one never seemed to shut off- it was unbearably hot. The living room has a huge window with no coverage and there is a property right across the room leaving you without privacy. We put a blanket up. We look forward to coming back to Lake George the area is so beautiful but I would never stay here again.

Vacation

The cabin was clean and cozy. There were a few things that we had trouble with. No internet first day, cause the password was changed. The Host did contact us later that evening. We could never figure out the tv, and the ice machine didn’t work. But it was very quiet and delightful! We really enjoyed the cabin!

Great location. Bring your own linens!

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend. The location for us was perfect. Easy to walk into the town and a short cab ride home in the evenings. There was a firepit outside and a nice deck to sit on to have coffee in the mornings. We had a great time however don’t be like us and forget your linens. We spent the first few hours of our stay washing and drying bed linens. None of the bed were made up. The main bedroom has a stale smell of smoke and the bed caves in the middle. Not sure why we paid a cleaning fee. Bring your own towels blankets and we ended up getting paper plates cups etc so we weren’t spending half the time washing up dishes after doing all the linens.

Terrible

Upon arrival the house was dirty. The bathroom smelled like urine, the master bedroom smelled like smoke (tobacco). Overhead lights in both rooms were flickering so there were electrical problems. My husband had to deep clean just so we could stay. Bathroom door handle broke and other bathroom door didn’t lock. Also said it was small walk to town under five mins but it was almost an hour. No blinds in living room double window. Cable was broke. Upkeep on this property was very poor considering all the positive reviews. We should be refunded part of our stay considering all the cleaning and issues with this property.

Nestled in the woods - quiet stay

Located less than 7 minutes from downtown Lake George, you find yourself surrounded by a nice quiet setting in the woods. Once you get inside, the living / dinning area is spacious. Enough room for everyone to enjoy themselves. The outside deck has a grill ... and the view of the small creek is great. We are coming back!

Adequate

I was a nice day. The beds were very comfortable. The towels were nowhere to be found. We had to go search for them and there was only one extra roll of toilet paper and for adults so we had to go search for toilet paper as well. I had to contact the property owner for the code to get in and for the Wi-Fi information which I feel should have been somewhere in the house. The code should’ve been sent to me rather than me having to contact them for it. The location was perfect. The back deck was lovely with the view and it was nice and quiet and very close to restaurants entertainment in shopping.

Autumn leaves

What a lovely deck overlooking a bubbling brook and an autumn vista. We loved the ease of our stay, the ability for a family to be in one large room with kitchen to the left and windows to the right, and dining room table and couch in the middle. Lovely weekend vacation.

Quiet cozy cabin close to town

Property was very clean. Heather was great with the few questions we had. We didn’t have many since it was a very clean cabin with everything working. Stove,lights, TV etc , with Wi-Fi and streaming capabilities. Thanks heather. We would stay at this property again no question about it. And the little stream in backyard is the perfect serenity with a cup of coffee. Especially since we come from the city. A+

Fantastic
