Garden Cottage is a magical little mountain cottage less than a half mile to downtown Mentone. Open concept living that's newly renovated and ready for your retreat to Mentone! Please note that open concept living in this historic mountain home means that the walls are open at the top of the bedrooms to allow better airflow, as you can see in the photos. Everything is new but with a feeling of the old mountain cottages of the 1950's. Original ceiling beams, wood walls and floors along with a modern new kitchen, fast WIFI and gorgeous gardens and fountain. Two cozy bedrooms, one Queen & one Full, a Queen sleeper sofa and one bathroom. The kitchen is stocked with all you need to prep meals with wall oven & cooktop. Take in the mountain air on the screened porch just off the kitchen. Enjoy the gorgeous gardens, gazebo, and many sitting areas surrounding the property, and hot tub just off the screened in porch.

Beautiful and Romantic!

I took my girlfriend to Mentone for a romantic birthday to get away from the city. I found The Garden Cottage and boy, is it a fabulous place!! Walking distance to town, quiet and well kept. Cabin is stellar! Clean, well stocked, and with a real kitchen! Very tastefully done overall. Both the GF and I really enjoyed the stay. This is definitely a return-to cabin.

Perfect house in the perfect location

We have stayed with Delightful Retreats multiple times, and every time the house has been exactly as advertised. This house is walkable to downtown Mentone and all the shops and restaurants. The property is beautiful and you aren't crammed on top of neighbors. Cannot recommend enough.

Relaxing/Laid back weekend

I rented the cottage for a long weekend for a long weekend with my wife and without the kids. We both enjoyed it. The cottage was super nice and cozy. The hot tub was perfect. They literally thought of and had everything you need while away from home.

It’s The Little Things

My husband and i visited Mentone for a weekend break. The Garden Cottage was exactly what we needed for a little R&R. The cottage offered a few snacks on the counter, a fan in the bedrooms, makeup remover & a few extra items to help things run smoothly. The cottage was close to town & also far enough off the road that you didn’t hear car traffic. The hot tub was an added bonus! We used the fire pit a few times. Wifi was reliable and we watched a few shows that never take time to do at home. A few tips: Mentone shuts down about 7, so if you are coming in late or prefer to eat late, keep that in mind. Everyone is so very nice! We never felt rushed. We joked and said, we are on mountain time. I can’t wait to go back.

Paradise in the Mountains

We had the most perfect stay here! The cabin was unbelievably cozy, warm, welcoming, and had everything we needed. One of our favorite parts was slipping into the hot tub after a day of wandering through the shops in Mentone, or hiking and exploring DeSoto State Park. Everything about this place felt just right. Thank you so much for sharing your slice of paradise with us. We will be dreaming about coming back!

Hot tub was so relaxing and the garden spot was almost whimsical at night the way the entire thing lite up. The multitude of crickets singing at night was amazing and I’m certain a bullfrog frequents the garden fountain as I heard his croaking as well. I would stay again. Very homey feel

Relaxing Stay!

We enjoyed our weekend in Mentone at the Garden Cottage. It is very cozy, has a well stocked kitchen and beautiful yard with a fountain. We also enjoyed the side screen porch and hot tub. It is very close to Mentone center so we enjoyed visiting the Mentone Market and the taco food truck. The sunset at Brow Park is beautiful and very close to this cabin. Holly is very responsive and there was also a basket of snacks when we arrived. A lovely, well maintained cabin and we would stay again!

Relaxing stay at The Garden Cottage

The Garden Cottage was so cute and cozy. The kitchen space was perfect for cooking our own meals, the bed was very comfortable, and the hot tub was fabulous! The entire cottage was very nicely decorated with all of the amenities of home. I wish the gardens had been in bloom but that is due to the time of year we visited. The grounds would be gorgeous in the spring, summer, and fall months with so many places to sit and enjoy the scenery outside. The fenced in area for our pup was also very nice. The location is perfect for visiting DeSoto State Park and DeSoto Falls. We loved everything about this cottage and look forward to visiting again in the future!

Everything you need!!

This property was just stocked with everything, the hot tub was hot. Very nicely stocked kitchen. The gardens and grounds were a filled with every imaginable plant/flower. Clean and everything worked. Only hiccup was a bedroom TV remote was missing. Just an oversight. Check in was super easy and close to everything!

Such an adorable cottage, close to the downtown area of Mentone. Easy access to everything there is to see and do. Cottage has everything one would need for comfort, even a fenced in area for your furry friends!! Will definitely come back!!!!

The Garden Cottage = Heaven

We had a wonderful stay at The Garden Cottage. It certainly lives up to its name! We loved walking the property and seeing the beautiful plants and a little wildlife. The location is excellent because it is close to town, Brow Park (gorgeous sunsets!!), and DeSoto Park. The cottage itself is adorable and the perfect size. The kitchen was a dream come true and I enjoyed baking in the double ovens.. the living room is comfortable, the bathroom was plenty big, and the beds were very comfy. We hope we can stay at The Garden Cottage on our future trips to Mentone.

Girls Getaway.

The pictures are great but it’s more beautiful in person. Very comfortable and cozy. We will be back. Being pet friendly is a plus!

Cabin in the woods

It was a quiet cabin...a little hard to find as GPS wanted to take us to the other side of Co Rd 89...several times The cabin was quaint, clean and just a relaxing time for our 10th wedding anniversary...we should have brought our dog but we were worried he might freak in a new place

Peaceful Garden Cottage

Delightful Retreats makes it easy to book a stay in Mentone and the Garden Cottage was quaint and beautiful. The outside grounds are landscaped well and include varieties of flowers and shrubs. Inside the home, there is a fully stocked kitchen, (with snacks and coffee!) and all the modern things we enjoy (Roku, Internet etc) but still feel like a relaxing retreat away from the hustle and bustle of life. Holly was quick to answer the few questions we had, and we will definitely be booking another trip soon.
