The home was spacious and comfortable for our big group, and we felt like we had plenty of privacy with the wooded lot and campfire space outside. The house was well-stocked with towels, kitchen items, and toiletries, and it had ample parking for our vehicles. The hosts were responsive and helpful with any questions we had as well. We truly enjoyed our family gathering and would absolutely stay again!

Thank you so much for the incredible review—we’re truly glad your group had such a great stay at Crystal Lodge! What makes Crystal Lodge different isn’t just the space—it’s the intention behind it. We’ve designed it specifically for groups and families to gather comfortably without feeling on top of each other. From the wooded setting that gives you real privacy, to the outdoor fire pit that naturally brings everyone together at night, it’s meant to create those moments you actually remember. Inside, we focus on eliminating the little frustrations that most rentals overlook—plenty of towels, a fully stocked kitchen that can handle real meals (not just snacks), and thoughtful touches throughout so you’re not running to the store on day one. It’s set up the way we’d want it if we were traveling with our own family. And just as important, we stay engaged as hosts. When you reach out, you’re not getting a delayed or automated response—you’re getting real support so your trip stays stress-free. That combination—privacy, functionality for groups, and hands-on hosting—is what truly sets Crystal Lodge apart from the typical vacation rental. We’d love to have you back anytime to make even more great memories!!

Joe, thank you so much for the 5-star review and for choosing Crystal Lodge! We loved hosting you. 🌟 We’re thrilled you enjoyed your stay—our goal is to make Crystal Lodge feel like an easy, cozy home base with a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable bedding, fast Wi-Fi, and simple touches for relaxing together (morning coffee on the porch and evening laughs around the table are our favorites). For future visits, Crystal Mountain Resort has something for every season—skiing and snowboarding, scenic trails, and cozy dining in the winter; golf, hiking/biking, chairlift views, and spa days when it’s warm. It’s the perfect mix of adventure and unwinding just minutes from the lodge. Thanks again for being a fantastic guest, Joe. We’d love to welcome you back anytime—whether it’s a snowy weekend on the slopes or a sunny escape in the pines!

As a family from the Grand Haven area, we’ve always loved spending time outdoors and embracing the adventures that Northern Michigan has to offer. From skiing and snowshoeing in winter to mountain biking and hiking in the summer, we’re passionate about outdoor sports and the beauty of this region. Crystal Lodge is our way of sharing this love for nature and adventure with others.

We wanted to create a space where families can come together, unplug, and make lasting memories. Whether it’s exploring the miles of trails for snowmobiling and SXS riding, hitting the slopes at Crystal Mountain Resort, or enjoying a peaceful hike through the woods, this property offers something for everyone.

We also love hosting friends and family, and Crystal Lodge is the perfect place to do just that. With 8.5 acres of private land, there’s ample space for kids to roam, play, and discover the joys of nature. And when the day winds down, we can gather around the fire pit, share stories, roast marshmallows, and relax in each other's company.

Northern Michigan is a special place, and we wanted to create a retreat where families can come together, enjoy the great outdoors, and make memories that will last a lifetime. We hope Crystal Lodge becomes a place where your family, like ours, can experience the magic of Northern Michigan and the joy of being together in nature.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

When we first discovered the Thompsonville and Crystal Mountain area, we instantly fell in love with its perfect blend of seclusion and convenience. As a family that loves the outdoors, we knew this was the ideal place to create a vacation home that offers a true Northern Michigan experience without the distractions of busy tourist spots or crowded resorts.

At Crystal Lodge, we get the best of both worlds. Nestled on 8.5 private acres, the property offers the peace and tranquility of the Northern Michigan wilderness, where you can enjoy a quiet escape with no worries about disturbing neighbors. The kids can run, play, and explore freely, while adults can relax, unwind, and soak in the natural beauty surrounding the home.

But what truly makes this area special is its proximity to everything we love about Northern Michigan. Crystal Mountain Resort and Spa is just 1 mile away, offering skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, and a world-class spa. You can enjoy all the outdoor activities you crave, without sacrificing the quiet retreat of your vacation home.

We love that our family can enjoy both the adventure of Crystal Mountain and the peace of being just far enough away to truly unwind. Crystal Lodge – Your Family’s Perfect Northern Michigan Escape

At Crystal Lodge, we believe in the magic of family time. Nestled on 8.5 private acres, this spacious log cabin-style home offers a perfect blend of privacy and togetherness for families to relax and reconnect in the heart of Northern Michigan.

Summer: Space for Everyone
During the summer, both units are included in your rental, offering sleeping for up to 20 guests. With room to spread out inside and outside, it’s ideal for large families or groups. Cook together in the fully-equipped kitchen, enjoy meals around the dining table, or gather by the fire pit to roast marshmallows. The expansive property provides plenty of space for kids to explore and play—no cars, no neighbors, just nature.

Winter: Cozy and Intimate
In winter, only one unit is available, accommodating up to 10 guests. After a day of skiing at Crystal Mountain Resort or snowshoeing through the woods, come back to the warmth of the home and spend quality time around the fireplace. Whether you’re enjoying the snow or simply relaxing inside, it’s the perfect intimate retreat for smaller groups.

Endless Outdoor Adventure
No matter the season, Crystal Lodge offers something for everyone. With 8.5 acres of private land, you can hike, bike, cross-country ski, or simply explore the great outdoors. Kids will love the space to run, build snowmen, or discover wildlife, while you enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.

Why Families Return Year After Year
The combination of seclusion and togetherness makes Crystal Lodge the perfect place for families to unwind and create lasting memories. Whether you’re here for winter sports, summer adventures, or just some quiet relaxation, you’ll see why families come back year after year.
