I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and found the beds comfortable, and enjoyed the amenities. I’m a bit perplexed regarding “floors not being swept” as I personally vacuumed and mopped the floors and washed the outside steps right before your 1pm arrival. Since you were celebrating your husband’s birthday, I bought a fruit platter which I dropped off at 1:10 and the floors in the sunroom & kitchen were still wet. I’m surprised you didn’t notice that since you arrived shortly thereafter. Regarding the major road, it does state in the listing it’s on a major road, but as you noticed it’s not very busy and the traffic noise is minimal.

Alexa arrived & messaged that the lockbox didn’t work (it did). I immediately replied only to be told she had broken in thru one of the windows. 20 mins later, I receive a message saying the house hadn’t been cleaned & pics of a sock under a cushion, box with eggshells, a tiny dead spider under the washer & what looked like spinach smaller than the size of a pinky nail next to the kitchen cabinets. I apologized, told her the cleaner had been there 3 hours & gave her the choice of sending the cleaner back or giving her a refund. I explained we normally leave certain items other guest leave such as the eggs in the fridge & it didn’t occur to the cleaner to make sure it had eggs & not eggshells. The cleaner went over to give a spare key and showed how to open the LB. The day before check-out, I receive a message asking for a substantial discount bc of mice & a squirrel. There has never been a mice issue at the house. I contacted prior guests to confirm & no one saw traces of mice. The house is surrounded by nature & if you leave doors open critters will get in-which is what happened. I arrived at the house. The window screen was torn, the kitchen had been rearranged as had an entire bedroom! I had to hire a handyman on a Sat to dismantle the bed in order to put it back in place, bring ottoman & bookshelf which she moved to another room. Bedding was missing & I spent hours trying to find items & putting them back in place. I also had to deal with mice!!!
