A great place to stay. Walk to Falmouth or bus to Martha's Vineyard ferry. Beautifully appointed home and cottage.

Cute cottage in a great location!

Cute cottage right on the bike path. We were able to ride our bikes into town and to the beach. It was located within a 10 minute drive to Woods Hole and many other local beaches. This was our first time to Cape Cod and the owner was super helpful and had lots of local knowledge. The backyard was great, the kids loved roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely Cape Cod destination

Super cute, clean and cozy cottage. It was very convenient having the bike trail in our backyard. The kids enjoyed making S’mores by the fire pit. The beaches were within a quick drive or bike ride. Jeanette was very helpful and responsive to our questions and provided excellent restaurant recommendations. Cozy but the accommodations served our family of four well. Great vacation!

A Weekend At The Cottage

We had a wonderful time at this cozy little cottage. Loved taking bike rides on the Shining Sea Bike Path, eating at local restaurants, going to the beach and just hanging out at the cottage with family. The place was spotless, charming and everything we had hoped for and more. Jeanette was lovely, helpful and couldn't have been kinder. We highly recommend a stay. You won't be disappointed.

A sweet gettaway in a fantastic location!

We were very pleased with this cabin for our week long stay in Falmouth. The access to downtown Falmouth, Woodshole and the bike trail can NOT be beat. Jeannette is so sweet and helpful. The cabin was the perfect size for our family and we loved having a full kitchen. We were missing some items, like bowls and soap in the bathroom and it wasn't 100% toddler friendly for a busy toddler who likes opening drawers and cabinets. Overall a comfortable and happy cabin to stay in for a trip to a gorgeous area!

If you had brought the soap or toilet paper to my attention during your stay, I could have made it right for you. I am on site, and so easily accessible, even a text letting me know that you needed something would have been so nice. Bringing up short comings after check out makes it impossible to deliver the customer service each and every visitor deserves. Thank you for staying with us and I hope we see you in the future. we enjoyed our stay!

The cottage is a cozy getaway and satisfied our needs comfortably. The sixties kitchen is cool and well equipped. The decorations and furnishings are simple and very tasteful. Jeanette is a dear! The patio with gas grill and free bikes make the cottage an even better deal! Room for improvement: A light on the patio would be great. New covers on the living room couch might be a thought. It is conveniently located and offers lots to see nearby. Falmouth is a cute little town with beautiful beaches and marches. Thanks for a great stay!

Thank you so much for your review and input. I do switch out the couch covers at seasons end, but have bought some new ones. Depending on usage during the summer, wear and tear varies, especially since I allow pets in the cottage. So I did buy a few to switch out. And I will Be addressing the lighting in the patio area. Thank you so much for taking the time to write and give input. It is the only way we can better serve our visitors and make stays more enjoyable and exciting!! Great Quaint Cozy Cottage!

Great overall experience from the moment I booked! Jeanette was very attentive with an email confirmation and then I received a follow up phone call within a few minutes. She truly provided a personal touch and was so helpful with making recommendations for dining, etc. The cottage is lovely, clean, comfortable and centrally located. Pictures on website are accurate. It was great to have a washer and dryer and I really felt like it was a home away from home. Take advantage of the complimentary bikes and enjoy a beautiful ride along the Shining Bike Path which is literally in your backyard. Jeanette had offered the Beach passes but our family of 4 ventured to Martha's Vineyard for the day. Although you can take the bikes (approximately 5 miles to Woods Hole and even take them to the Island), we opted to pay $15 for parking and take the shuttle. We only stayed for 2 nights - wish it had been longer. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Weekend Getaway

Excellent communication from the hosts. Incredibly clean. Gorgeous back garden and wonderful access to the bike path and therefore all of Falmouth over the crazy holiday season. Great parking for our group along with our bikes etc for the triathlon. The house was very comfortable for our stay.

Location was perfect

Great location right on the hike trail and walking distance to the parking lot to catch the bus to the ferry to Martha’s vinyard. House was very clean and cozy. We were able to do some laundry and get takeout and eat in one night. Def would recommend this place!!

Accommodating is an understatement!

We were excited to get to the Cape and start our adventure. In fact, we were so excited that we arrived a few hours early. Jeanette did everything in her power to get us into the cottage early and we greatly appreciated that. We were interested in getting a reservation but weren't sure where. Jeanette not only gave us a great selection but hoped on the phone and reserved us a table. There were six of us and there are two rooms, each with a queen bed. I had one of the rooms with a bed and personally slept like a baby. One couple had the fold out couch and they still slept fine. The one thing I would say was that it was a hot day and there was no A/C in the living room/couch area, but we left the door open to adjacent room so the A/C from our room could filter in and it was fine. The cottage also has a private fire pit and a quaint gift shop, we thoroughly enjoyed both. Parking can get a little packed so make sure to get your spot early. Overall, we had a great time, really appreciated the hospitality and will definitely be coming back.

Cozy and Convenient

We loved it. We used the bikes and bike path to get around locally a bit. Pretty convenient to navigate from there and we would definitely come back in the future.

We loved staying at the cottage.

After spending three nights in a hotel, it was so nice to come to the cottage, where you felt like you were at home. The cottage was warm and inviting. Very cozy. We enjoyed s'mores in the private backyard. Jeanette was so welcoming and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay at the cottage!

My husband and I stayed in the cottage for a getaway to celebrate our anniversary. The cottage had plenty of space, was very well appointed, and very clean. Jeanette is such a nice host. She is warm and welcoming, friendly, and helpful with any questions we had. The location of the cottage is perfect. It's right on the Shining Sea bike path. You can borrow one of the many bikes Jeanette has available and ride a scenic 5 miles to the sweet town of Woods Hole. You can also use the bike path for a quick less than 10 minute walk to the Steamship Authority bus station to hop on a bus to the Martha's Vineyard ferry. It's a short 15-20 minute walk to Main St. in Falmouth for plenty of shopping and great restaurants. We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely stay at the cottage again.

This property was very impressive! We rented both the main house and adjoining cottage.

Our entire stay was quite delightful for our full family and friends. As a cyclist I found the easy access to the bike trail right behind the house perfect... The entire home was beautifully decorated with of character and charm! A major plus with all bedrooms with full baths! I can't say enough great words about the owner Jeanette, she was the best host ever! I will definitely return and tell others.

Cozy Cottage!

My family stayed in the cottage for 3 nights. The cottage was private and well appointed with everything we needed from crisp white towels to salt and pepper/spices. We even had our own backyard area with a firepit for making smores at night. Jeanette was extremely attentive and made us feel right at home! She was quick to respond if we needed anything and very informative about things to do in the area. We loved the location (close to town) and that it was on the Shining Sea bikeway. The cottage came with use of bikes for the whole family and beach passes for local Falmouth beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

great stay in a lovely cape cod cottage

We stayed at Jeanette's cape cod cottage with a group of 4 in connection with the graduation of my son from a local high school and had a wonderful time. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped and nicely decorated. Great that you can walk across the street for a fab breakfast/brunch at the "Crab Apple". The kitchen has many essential provided and we were able to make coffee first thing in the morning. Best part is the huge back yard with a lovely shaded sitting area and a fire pit. We made good use of the bikes and rode the bike trail all the way to Woods Hole (5 miles)...FAB visit all around and Jeannette is very punctual, professional and accommodating!

I grew up in Menlo Park California, my Father was a native Cape Codder and my mother was a native Californian. I suppose my mother's influence kept my Father in California, but he always entertained the notion of moving back to Falmouth. The stretch of land Frederick William House sits on has been in my family for nearly a century, strawberry fields encompassed the stretch, and the 4 houses to the left and the right all belonged to long gone relatives. One by one the cousins, aunts and uncles sold, but when I discovered that 594 Palmer belonged to me after my last living relative on Cape Cod passed away, I felt impelled to keep the last of the homes and share this magical place with you.

Easy drives to historic points of interest, walk to breakfast across the street to enjoy the best Irish Eggs Benedict you have ever had. Location, location, location. Come visit the birthplace of 'America the Beautiful' written by Katherine Lee Bates, and visit her child hood home. Take a trolly tour, see Nobska Light House in Woods Hole, still occupied and operated by the Coast Guard Chief. Take in every season, the colors of fall, the impressive frozen ponds in winter, the yellow bursts of color in spring, and the bluest, quiet lapping waves in summer. Cook out, enjoy your family, ferry to the islands, there is so much to do and see here!
