Mini-cabin 2 minutes from Laura Ingalls Wilder & Pet Friendly!

Best location in town!! Relax and unplug at our peaceful, rustic cabin surrounded by 22 acres of trees and meadows, just 2 minutes from the Laura Ingalls Wilder house and 15-20 minutes from Baker Creek Seeds and SMORR. You will love the woodsy seclusion and the cozy space.
You'll have a full sized bed made up with pure cotton sheets, a full bathroom with shower and tub, kitchenette w/ fridge, microwave, sink, and Keurig coffeemaker, plus dining nook and a futon sofa. Heat/ac and a BEAUTIFUL back deck view too!
Cabin holds 2 comfortably but can sleep up to 4 with the queen futon pulled out. Dogs welcome in this cabin.

***Please note*** there is NO WIFI OR TV, and cell service is OK but not strong enough to stream. We do provide some books and games to enrich your evenings offline :)

Do you like caves? Our property is proudly home to Hicks Cave, a famous hideout of outlaw Jesse James, that goes back 1.8 miles under town. Cave tours can be provided free of charge (schedules allowing), please contact Jeff when you arrive - see welcome sheet for the number - and bring shoes that can possibly get wet.

The Mansfield Cabins are about 1/2 mile from the main road, down a (rather bumpy) gravel drive. There are five of them grouped on a hill with a great open view from your deck, and woods at the back where the parking is. Each cabin is 288 sq. ft. with a full bathroom in the middle and living/sleeping areas that are open.
The kitchenette has microwave, toaster, and fridge but no cooktop - so you'll want to plan for meals with that in mind. Town & Country Grocery is just around the corner, and there are restaurant and takeout options locally.

Smoking is allowed on the back deck only, with cabin door closed - never inside.
