Mountain Lodge #327! Remodeled kitchen! Only yards away from Ballhooter lift!

Calling all families and small groups looking for a mountain getaway! This 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom located in Mountain Lodge sleeps 6 comfortably plus a sleeper sofa for a total of 8 guests. The master bedroom features a queen bed, tv, ceiling fan, and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom features two twin and one full size bed, tv, chest of drawers, and a desk/ workspace. There is also a pack n' play if needed (bring your own crib sheet).
We are proud to present a newly remodeled kitchen for this winter season with NEW range, refrigerator, NEW dishwasher, NEW microwave, NEW cabinets, and additional kitchen seating. A coffee maker, toaster, crockpot, hand mixer, blender, NEW cookware and bakeware, dishes, and utensils are provided to make your own meals while on the mountain. In the main living space sits a comfy couch that will fold out into a bed (linens provided), tv, and dining room table.

Mountain Lodge Features:
- Mountain Lodge has began a huge renovation beginning March 2025. For the winter 2025 season new wall coverings, floors, and lighting have been installed making our previously outdated lobby very warm and cozy. A Lodge store and a massage therapy room have been installed.
- In 2026 a sauna, bathrooms, and a bar will be added to the main floor. A large outdoor hot tub will hopefully be available for winter 26-27.
- Located approx. 30 yards from the Ballhooter chair-lift and slopes
- Village restaurants and shops only steps away
- Private parking lot for Mountain Lodge guests only (2 vehicles allowed and must be appropriately registered)
- High-speed internet available from City Net
- HD TV service available from DISH Network (all TVs are smart TVs with Roku devices in bedrooms. DVD player provided)
- Free local shuttle (winter only)
- Coin-operated laundry is located down the hallway by the elevators. Iron/ ironing board provided.
- Large lobby with comfortable sofas and tables for games
- Merchandise store in Mountain Lodge Lobby
- NEW bike storage shed for guests equipped with minor tools and air pump
- Ski lockers available for rent from Mountain Lodge
- Snowshoe Ski School located in the basement of Mountain Lodge
- Indoor playground available for an additional fee to Mountain Lodge
- Indoor ice skate area available for an additional fee to Mountain Lodge
- Two restaurants open during winter season in lower level of Mountain Lodge
- Split Rock Pools is located across the parking lot for an additional fee with Snowshoe

A wonderful adventure!

This is the ultimate family friendly rental with all the amenities you need. Rental instructions were easy to follow, the location is perfect for slope side access and shuttle service made getting around easy peasy! Great time had by the whole family.

Great Location For a Great Stay!

We came for a weekend getaway and some skiing. The location of the condo is great as it is right at the top of the Ballhooter lift (and the Waffle Hut!). The amenities in the condo and in the building are wonderful. Check-in was easy even with our late arrival. We will definitely stay again.

Nicest place in Mountain Lodge

Weā€™ve been staying in the mountain lodge for yearsā€¦kids have grown up coming here. Typically the places are pretty worn downā€¦not this place though! It was definitely the nicest weā€™ve found and will absolutely stay here again.

Great little condo, perfect for a skiing family

We enjoyed our stay at this condo in Mountain Lodge. So convenient to be able to exit right at the top of a lift. Our family of five fit perfectly. Kids enjoyed playing ping-pong and the games room. Disappointed there was no hot tub, since the listing seems to indicate there is one (it's in a separate building and the cost is not included in the rental). A wonderful stay, would recommend!

All the convenience of home right on the mountain

The condo comes equipped with everything a family or other group needs to sleep, relax, and prepare meals while also being within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, and indoor and outdoor activities. Because it is located right inside the Mountain Lodge it can get a bit noisy outside the door to the condo, but the trade off is that everything you came to Snowshoe to do is within walking distance, including some indoor activities (arcade, skate rink, dining) right in the building. The condo itself was very clean and comfortable with sleeping arrangements that were perfect for 2 families to have their own private spaces to sleep with a common area large enough for everyone to gather, eat, and relax. Check in and check out were effortless, and we walked right out the door of the lodge to enjoy the best spring skiing you can find in central Appalachia.

Spacious, Convenience and Quiet

This is our third year staying at the Mountain Lodge and our fourth year at Snowshoe. This unit exceeded our expectations. The location within ML was relatively quiet, each child had their own bed, the unit had all of the kitchen amenities of home, and it each room had a ceiling fan to help circulate air. My only recommendation would be to upgrade the sheets, if possible, as two of the kids' beds had scratchy sheets. This is our favorite rental thus far, and we will definitely look to book this unit again for future trips.

A perfect place to wind down

We booked our stay here for the West Virginia Trail Fest, which was very much an off-season trip for Snowshoe. This condo was perfect as a place to stage and get ready for a weekend of racing. The Mountain Lodge is certainly showing its age, but in a charming sort of a way? Because we were there in the off-season, there were fewer amenities available, like no breakfast or restaurants in the Lodge and so on, but thatā€™s to be expected, and was easily worked around. The room was great, minus a pesky smoke detector that kept chirping, even after a call to maintenance. The renovations on the kitchen looked great! Weā€™d definitely stay here again, just have some more forward planning on food options before we came up the mountain.
