Air Conditioning: The listing currently notes that air conditioning is available, and I want to acknowledge that this could have been more specific. During your spring stay, one of the two AC units had not yet been installed, as the weather was still mild. I understand this may have caused confusion as this is a seasonal unit, and I will be updating the listing to reflect this more clearly. But I also find it a bit confusing, though, that you mentioned the apartment was cold yet expressed concern about having only one air conditioner for the spring month. The AC in the living room was sufficient for the temperatures at that time, and the bedroom had fans, which are typically enough in spring. I would have expected more clarity on this point during your stay, and I’m sorry if the setup didn’t meet your needs. Heating: The unit is equipped with a smart thermostat set to maintain a consistent 70°F. When the temperature dips below that point, the heat automatically engages. During your stay, the thermostat often read above 70°F, which is why the system did not run continuously. Nevertheless, I manually turned on the heat each time you requested, and I was happy to accommodate those needs. Regarding the message about your parents: I apologize if it came across as disrespectful that was not my intention. I simply asked if the front door could be kept closed while standing outside to prevent heat from escaping and to avoid letting in bugs. I understand tone can be misread over messages, and I’m sorry if it caused offense. Second Bedroom & Beds: The listing does indicate a 1.5 bedroom and that the space includes a main bedroom with a smaller secondary room that is compact with a sofa bed. I had also communicated directly to you before you booked. I understand this may not have been the most comfortable arrangement for your month-long stay, and I appreciate your honesty. I’ll be reviewing both the mattress and the room setup based on your input although I have not received similar feedback previously Noise: This is a two-family home, as mentioned in the listing, and occasional sounds may be heard from upstairs. I live on the upper floor and do my best to remain quiet and respectful, especially during late hours. I wish you had informed me during your stay so I could have taken steps to reduce any disturbances. But I did check in with you multiple times during your stay, but none of the issues you mentioned in this review were raised at that time. If I had been made aware of them sooner, I would have been more than happy to address and resolve them. Other Considerations: I'm glad to hear that you found the location and cleanliness satisfactory. I also want to gently mention that, during your stay, I provided weekly laundry service at no additional charge which you did not mention. Final Thoughts: Your feedback is appreciated and taken seriously.
