We met the housekeeper when we arrived and she was so sweet and welcoming. The studio was also very close to all transportation so it was extremely convenient to get anywhere you needed to go!

Best place we could have stayed in. Very comfortable for a party of 3. Affordable and easy to catch a subway ride anywhere you want to go. The housekeeping was fantastic and responsive to any needs we had.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cozy vintage studio. We hope to stay here the next time we come to NYC for theatre. The apt was spotless and very comfortable. We had every amenity we needed for our very brief stay. The location is ideal for using public transportation and it was only minutes to Time Square and great restaurants. I highly recommend this studio for anyone visiting the area.

We had 4 guests in here and we loved it! The location was beautiful and very easy to access the subway to explore or the nearby park. The host was easy to communicate with and we loved the housekeeper. We felt extremely safe in this unit. You have to go through a 2 doors before you can even get to the inside. Only downside is that I am horrible at using keys and that’s how you get into the building and apartment. Also, the pull out couch was surprisingly really comfortable! Overall, very affordable and so much better than staying in a hotel. Would definitely stay again in this unit or in any of the others in the building.

We needed an affordable place near Columbia University and enjoy having our own kitchen. We loved the opportunity to stay in a historic NYC brownstone and this VRBO was delightful and had excellent proximity to the 125th subway stop where we met up with our daughter who lives near the Columbia campus.

The place was as described, not huge but perfect for 4 women on an overnight trip for a concert. Clean, comfortable, very nice kitchenette area. Convenient to subway (2 blocks I think) in a walkable, well lit neighborhood. Host was prompt in responding to a request to drop our bags off prior to check in (although we ended up not arriving until check in) and the individual that greeted us when we arrived (she provided cleaning services but also lives in the building I believe) was absolutely incredible. She was so helpful and friendly and made sure we were comfortably settled in.

Loved it.. Lovely building. Everything is super cozy. It was a quiet neighborhood. Very close to the sub way. Everything was clean and functional. No bugs. Bed was comfortable. If you're looking at this listing and thinking, "What am I missing? This price is so much more reasonable than anything else in the city. Are these reviews fake?" We had the same questions. Took the gamble. You should too.First, let's explain the negative. It's going to be offset, this review is still 5 stars for a reason so bear with me. The room is worn in, and is wanting for some repairs. The walls, the cabinetry, the furniture and the fixtures could use some TLC. There was an odor coming from the plumbing in the bathroom the duration of our stay. We switched our phones over to the cell network because the wifi was spotty.But the positives. The place is clean; 100% pest free with no signs of cover-up cleaning. It's quiet. Stunningly quiet. The linens are pristine, the AC unit works great. It feels VERY safe, and the very responsive host (Marlyn) has a live-in caretaker on the main level to address pressing needs who is lovely. There's an entire functional kitchen with clean appliances and enough dishware to get done what you need. The bed is very comfortable and doesn't make a SINGLE squeak getting into or out of it. And the location is utterly unbeatable. The subway entrance a couple blocks away is an express line stop to get you anywhere on Manhattan crazy easily.I'd stay again. Save your money for experiencing the city. I'm so grateful this place was available.

The unit is located in a peaceful area of Harlem, close to public transport. The unit was actually roomier than I thought it would be. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom has 2-ply toilet paper!

Exactly it’s a picture shows, very honest and open.It’s in a great location. Don’t believe the rumors, it’s not dangerous at all. The locals did not bother us at all. It is a great location to get anywhere in New York City. It isn’t all that far to get to Central Park.We took the M 60 from LaGuardia and it took us almost directly to the property. The area has lots of good places to eat and places to shop for groceries. It’s all very convenient on foot.The property is a little bit older and small, but had everything that we needed. We weren’t really in the room very much at all anyways. I would totally stay here again if I return to New York
