Welcome to Wanchese. This 2 bed/1.5 bath home is perfect for your Outer Banks stay. Sleeps 5 and has all the amenities you will need to get outdoors and enjoy this beautiful area. This home offers two large living areas and a dining table that sits 6 with a fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs. We offer a smart TV with Hulu. There is plenty of outdoor space for parking your boat/trailer or having yard activities. We are located in the center of Wanchese Village and a short 10 minute drive to Manteo or Nags Head. Located near many local restaurants by boat or car. Wanchese also offers multiple marinas for charter, dolphin tours or personal needs. Come discover the secret of Wanchese.

Owner is SUPER welcoming and accommodating! The house is in the perfect location to access the beach and other attractions, while also feeling away from the bustle of vacation condos and hotels.

We absolutely loved staying at the Gallop House! We will be returning for sure. The hosts are wonderful people and the house was full of charm and history.

This is the 2nd year weā€™ve stayed and just love it! We drive up from SC and stay the weekend before checking into our house in Duck for the week! Itā€™s a great, quiet location and hosts are so friendly and inviting! Looking forward to next year!

Loved the place. My husband, brother and I were there for fishing and it was the perfect spot! The host was amazing and quick to respond. Hoping itā€™s available next time we come down!

It was a great choice, minutes from marina and only 15 minutes to beaches and restaurants etc. We had a great time, rental was like being at home, everything you needed with exception of groceries was there and ready, nice yard and very kind and personable neighbors.We will definitely use on our next trip

This was an excellent location with easy access to all the beaches and in a beautiful neighborhood. The owners were really nice. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I will be returning.

The cottage was nice. It was like going home to your mom's. Brought back alot of childhood memories. We only had a short stay. Nice being away from the beach traffic but close enough to everything we wanted to do. The Host was very sweet and was available if we had of needed anything. Hopefully the our next trip this cottage will be available.

Peace and quiet

Sweet little spot tucked away with the cutest porch and houses across the street. Brought my boat and had plenty of room to park it. An absolute gem, will definitely be back!

Vacation get away

Home was in a good location, quiet and peaceful. Wishing there was a couch in the Tv room, but otherwise everything was comfortable. Would stay there again!!

Coastal experience without crowds

Wanchese village provided us boat access to Pamlico Sound and short drive access to Nags Head and Kitty Hawk beaches. Hosts were excellent, friendly and helpful in every way.

Relaxing and functional vacation home

Very comfortable and peaceful small community setting with easy access all on one level. Preferred place for people that like to have a calm environment to unwind after a busy day at the beach along with everything else there is to do in the OBX. Hosts are very neighborly and informative about the area as well. I would definitely recommend this home for an affordable family or small group getaway destination!

Boat trip

We reserved this house for a fishing trip we had planned. Ended up being less than 5 minutes where we had to catch our boat. Nice house with everything you would need.

Peaceful Stay

The property was clean and had ample space for our family of four. The location was nice and the atmosphere of the neighborhood was quiet. The kitchen was well stocked and there were many convenient amenities such as towels, and kitchen utensils even folding trays that we used as we ate on the back outside porch. I would only suggest that the host could add a book of folder of suggested places to eat and some ideas of places for good site seeing/ or historic sites in the neighborhood. Overall this was a wonderful location and I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay!

Upon arriving the owners greeted us with a warm welcome and showed us around the house. They live next door and were very friendly. House was exactly like pictured and would be perfect for older guests. The neighborhood is quiet and appeared to be a golf cart community. There was plenty of space to park our boat (28 ft hydro sport for reference). The owners were kind enough to let us rinse it off after our fishing trip. Overall we enjoyed our stay ā˜ŗļø I would recommend adding some games (board and card) to the home for the quiet ā€œstay inā€nights. Thank you for allowing us to use your home!

Couple weekend getaway

We were a group of 4 adults looking to spend the days by the beach and just come home to sleep and maybe have breakfast. This house had everything we needed. And the big bed was very confortable. However, maybe the other queen bed needs to be change. This is an old cozy home, if you are looking for fancy and updated house, this is not it. The check in process was a little confusing as there where not instruction a on the app. When we got to the house it was open so we call the phone on the fridge and this was the owners number who happen to live next door.

We loved staying at the Gallop House in Wanchese with our children 6 and 2.5!It was SOO WONDERFUL to have a yard for them to play in (such a different "beach" experience!), puzzles and TV for kiddos, a grill to use, porches to lounge on, lots of lovely plants, a view of the horse barn, gorgeous sunsets, a washer and dryer (AHHHmazing!!!), and having bath and beach towels available was GREAT.The house is quaint... aka, nothing is fancy, updated or trendy here in the least--- so if that's what you want, I'd keep scrolling. That said, we did have to "hide" lots of crystal statues and dishes from our 2 yo (who still found them of course) so I suppose there was a lil fancy there ;) It's just a short trip to the beach or to town and was really great for us!! We would 100% stay there again for longer. The owners--- salt of the earth folks--- are right next door (on the property, really) so for us that was totally cool and we enjoyed meeting them!My only gripes: no dishwasher, no couches whatsoever (chairs only) minus the one on the back porch, lots of cute little storage areas that were very dirty, and the kitchen- albeit large- was a bit hard to navigate... I hit my head on the freezer door several times and never did find a veggie peeler?! lol We loved it and hope to return!!!

Attended Wedding at Vista Creek

The venue was 5 minutes away and the house was perfect for my family. Everything that was posted about Lynnā€™s place was spot on. Coming from an equestrian family, the view of the horse farm across the street to have morning coffee was priceless! Thanks Lynn for hosting us!
