Located in the historic Racquet Club neighborhood, this post & beam, flat-roofed classic is a Krisel-designed, Alexander home that was once the neighborhood model house. Perfectly curated w/ original midcentury designer pieces from respected names such as Eames, Aulenti, Castiglioni, Saarinen, Panton & more, it’s a true midcentury wonderland, all sitting under a beautiful tongue and groove ceiling. Ease yourself past the iconic breeze block to reach the front door and usher yourself into a magnificently curated showcase of midcentury design at Casa Gia.
The original room divider brings you in past the kitchen and presents the open plan living area with floor to ceiling glass before you.
In the lounge, the original 1980s Roche Bobois sectional couch, Atelier de Troupe oval glass coffee table and 'Pastil' fiberglass bubbly chair by Eero Aarnio sit magnificently on the Atelier de Troupe designed CC Tapis rug. They complete a clean but cozy look where you’ll feel immediately comfortable, while lighting by Gae Aulenti and Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni set the scene at night.
The nearby dining area features a stylish 4-seater Atelier de Troupe dining table and 4 chairs, sitting perfectly under the 'Compas' drop pendant by the same designer. This is nicely situated adjacent to the remodeled and fully-stocked kitchen where three wicker Dirk Van Sliedregt barstools frame the counter. The kitchen cabinetry meanwhile pairs perfectly with the wooden tongue and groove ceilings giving you that organic old school feel.

The primary bedroom features back yard views and a magnificently soft king bed, flanked by Eero Saarinen’s 'Pedestal' night stands, a chrome Atelier de Troupe table lamp and 'Parentesi Suspension' wire floor lamp by Achille Castiglioni. You’ll also find a unique Noguchi-inspired white metal chair and the iconic ‘Marema' plastic stacking tables by Gianfranco Frattini. The bedroom’s en-suite with its striking grey tiles gives you a sunken bath and shower, vanity, and toilet.
The queen bedroom features a queen bed with Brooklinen linens, sitting nicely under the seven prints that make up the ‘Pools’ series by artist Benjamin Critton for Norma. The bed is accompanied by the clean lines of lucite nightstands with Vernon Paton 'Flowerpot VP3' white table lamps, and the Eames fiberglass chair.
This bedroom utilizes the nearby hallway bathroom where the ‘Pools’ wall art continues accompanied by a Eames wire base low table, while giving you a walk-in shower with classic neutral-toned mosaic tiles, plus vanity, and toilet.
The twin bedroom presents a classic mid-century layout with its custom designed corner table and twin beds, made by Michael McConnell for Atelier de Troupe. Here you’ll also find a 1970s Danish table lamp, plus wall art featuring a vintage Oaxacan wool weaving, and a pencil on paper piece by artist Cody Hoyt.
Heading outside, you’ll take in a magnificent yard full of wonderful options for outdoor desert activities, all accompanied by the clean lines of 'Locus Solus' furniture designed by Gae Aulenti.
The breeze block framed, large heated (upon request) pool is the centerpiece, with ample sun lounges surrounding it, some under the convenient shade-giving pergola. Down one end of the pool is a cute ‘cafe style’ sitting area, while the opposite side of the pool is where you’ll find the bocce court for endless hours of competition. There’s also a uniquely designed fire pit area with its log stools and circular white seating.
Adjacent to the house is the dining area under the covered patio, with a sophisticated looking 6-seater white dining set, and a gas grill just around the corner where you can prepare a well-designed feast worthy of this house’s inimitable style. Bocce Ball Court for more outdoor fun!

There are two surveillance cameras, one above the front door, facing away from the front door toward the carport and street. The other camera is on the east side of the house, faces away from the home, and covers the east side of the front yard.
Housekeeping - mid stay cleanings required for stays over 14 nights a minimum of every 14 days of your stay. Guest will be billed for additional cleanings every 2 weeks and scheduled to meet guest needs. These additional cleanings are $425 per cleaning and include a complete linen turnover and amenities refresh. Daily/Weekly cleaning are available if requested with additional fees.
Host with the Most can be available for anything you need & will greet you in person within 24 hours of your arrival.
Guest booking this home must be 25 year or older.
Parties and events are not permitted.
This home allows a maximum of 6 adults plus 2 kids 12 and under.
There are strict music, noise, and parking restrictions in Palm Springs and the booking guest will be responsible for any and all fines incurred during their visit. We reserve the right to immediately cancel any guest stay without a refund if any of the rental rules are violated.
No more than 3 cars may be parked at this home during your stay.
All activities must be taken inside by 10 pm to comply with the city wide quiet hours ... and to be good neighbors.
A copy of a government issued ID will be required of the booking guest along with signing an additional private rental contract acknowledging the rental guidelines and rules and all adult guest names listed on the contract.
Pool heating is optional at a rate of $95 per night of your visit.
• This home is not child proofed. Cabinets are not secured, there is a pool and hot tub without child locks, and we do have MANY breakable items in the home. We welcome adults who bring well behaved children but we expect them to fully supervise children at all times and do not advertise or guarantee that the home is in any way child safe /child proofed.
• NO CHECK-IN ON HOLIDAYS. If your reservation start date falls on any holiday listed you will need to rebook your check-in date. Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve & Day, New Years Day, Easter Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, & Labor Day.
•There are noise ordinances here in PS, so NO MUSIC is allowed outside on any device at ANY TIME. In addition, there can be no outdoor noise after 10PM. There is NO MUSIC ALLOWED OUTSIDE. NO music on your phone, bluetooth device - NO MUSIC. If someone reports you to the City of Palm Springs, or the police, you will be responsible for ANY & ALL fines and you can and will be subject to removal from the property with no refund for unused time. The minimum charge is $500 if they are called out and if a complaint is made to our staff, city compliance, or the police, and/or citation is issues you will be asked to leave immediately with NO refund - so PLEASE have fun but bring it inside after 10PM and remember about the music being a NO NO at anytime outdoors - not even inside with doors open so it can be heard outside.
• 12.5% tax has been charged as a “Transient Occupancy Tax” per the City of Palm Springs requirements for any stays under 28 nights.
•Bookings over 28 nights are not subject to TOT tax.
•An outside contract is required by the city of Palm Springs will need to be read and signed prior to your visit. A link will be sent after your reservation is confirmed. The responsible guest on the reservation will also need to provide a photo of their government issued ID as required for short term rentals in the city of Palm Springs and must be present for the stay.
•All guests will need to read and sign the Good Neighbor Form and a face to face greeting at check in is required.
-Surveillance or recording devices on property - Ring camera at front entry to monitor entrance and noise monitoring device inside main living area and pool area. It does NOT record actual sounds or conversations, it simply monitors the noise level (measured in decibels). NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures decibel levels throughout the property and allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. NoiseAware is 100% privacy compliant and is required on this property. If you have any questions, please ask.
Failure of Tenant to adhere to City regulations will be considered a breach of this rental agreement. Furthermore, Tenant recognizes the right of the manager to ask Tenant and Tenant's guests to vacate the unit immediately if it becomes necessary without a refund of the rental amount.
•Missing &/or stained LINENS will be charged to the guest at the current rate for replacement. ANY BROKEN OR MISSING ITEMS will be charged to the guest accordingly.

Host was amazing .. house adorable.. great location .,best beds I’ve had at a Vrbo .. nicely stocked kitchen … if any negatives I would say there is no real comfy places to sit . The loungers outside r tired and not comfortable. Dining chairs and outside chairs r cute but definitely not comfy . Even the Roche Bobois sofa is far to low and so so in comfortably.. but overall house had a nice homey feel !!

Incredible Experience
We had an amazing experience at Casa Gia. The house is an amazing testament to Palm Springs architecture and mid century modern design. The furnishings were true vintage and the house is in great shape. Extremely clean and looks just as advertised. The backyard is incredible. The pool was perfectly heated and at night the landscape lighting was done in a way to make the trees and landscape into a sculpture garden. The host was great and they responded to my every need so quickly. Thank you Francisco. The neighborhood was safe and lots of beautiful homes to look at while you take a walk. I stay a lot here in Palm Springs and this was one of my top experiences.
