Spend the holidays at this serene mountaintop retreat

Petit Jean was recently named one of Budget Travel's top state parks! This mountaintop retreat overlooks Ada Valley. Enjoy a cup of coffee from the Keurig machine and fresh air on a private deck while listening to music on the sounds of nature and admiring one of the most beautiful areas in Arkansas. This 2,100 sq ft home sits on the south brow only 0.3 miles from the Museum of Automobiles and 3 miles from Mather Lodge. You will get plenty of rest and relaxation in this peaceful setting.

This one story home was built in 2008 and includes beautifully designed concrete floors, a large deck with charcoal grill, wood burning fireplace, full kitchen with eating area, formal dining room, living room, 3 bedrooms including a master and two full bathrooms.

The home is located close to Petit Jean State Park, the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute, Museum of Automobiles and Mather Lodge. The area has great hiking, fishing, historic architecture and scenic overlooks.

Guests will be provided with a starter set of toilet paper and paper towels. There is a Keurig coffee maker where guests bring their own pods.
Other things to note
The home includes a portable Bluetooth speaker and additional pullout cot the size of a twin bed with an extra thick mattress pad.

Short getaway!

The property was exactly what my husband and I needed! We enjoyed the view along with the silence. It was by far the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. AND we saw a dear!

Enjoyed the quiet surroundings. Kids were happy with the flat land to play baseball and volleyball. Outside area met everyoneā€™s needs. Views are special. Close to all of the parks attractions and other businesses on the mountain. Older kids biked where they wanted to go. Will definitely try to stay at this rental again.!!!!

Awesome place to stay

We stayed at this property when we came for graduation, but our family lives on the mountain so we wanted to be closer to them. The property is great! The views are great, the host has everything set up perfectly! We really enjoyed our stay

Weekend Retreat

This was a weekend gathering of a leadership team. This was the perfect place for us. Very comfortable and spacious home with everything we needed being provided. The view and setting is outstanding. Within the home was great information and direction for the park and local area. The host did an excellent job in proving information about our stay and quickly answering any questions we had.

This house is exactly how it looks. It was a gorgeous place the pictures do no justice. I would come back and stay in this house every time I visit this area I write this at 10. The view is breathtaking. The house Was very clean, very comfortable. The beds, the furniture everything was very nice.. If youā€™re looking for a place to stay, this will be the one I would choose.

Beautiful home and breathtaking views!

I took my granddaughter (age 7) for a quick trip to the mountains. We easily found the house down an unpaved road right off the main road. The home was beautifully equipped with much more than we could possibly need. We ate our breakfast on the huge deck on the back of the house that looks over the valley where the views are magnificent! The owner was great and communicated with us quickly with any questions that I had. I hope that this home is available for our next trip to Arkansas when we include many more family members.

Beautiful home, beautiful location, beautiful everything

The check-in/check out instructions were very simple and clear. I messaged the host for the instructions before we started that way and she got back to me immediately. Okay, now the propertyā€¦ it was so beautiful! The view was stunning! Gorgeous mountain scenery, wide open spaces to where you can see for miles, and the sunset was just lovely. We even saw a coyote go by while we were standing out on the porch, so that was neat. There is a short rock trail that leads to some benches a little closer to the edge of the property where you can get a better view, but the view from the porch is beautiful as well. One of our friends spent hours just sitting outside at the edge of the property just soaking it all in. There is a fireplace inside and a fire pit outside, and thereā€™s plenty of wood and fire starters and kindling, so donā€™t worry about any of that. The master bed was very comfortable, which isnā€™t something I can say about a lot of places Iā€™ve stayed, so it was nice to be able to get some rest in a comfortable bed. Even my dad with back and neck problems slept comfortably in his room. There were plenty of towels and rags as well as stuff to cook with, but youā€™re about ten minutes away from Matherā€™s Lodge Restaurant (also has a beautiful view), and about thirty minutes away from a really good/chill pizza place called Point Remove Brewing Company if youā€™re looking for restaurant ideas nearby. I highly recommend this home and will definitely go back one day!

I grew up visiting and loving Petit Jean Mountain and in 2008 my husband (a retired electrical engineer) and I decided to build our own getaway on 10 acres of land that my mother purchased many years ago. It was one of the best decisions we have ever made!
