The first impression of this large 5000 s.f. mid century home designed by renown architect Richard Dodd, is it's openness, large ceilings, and the amazing panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Channel islands, the Clark Bird Refuge and famous Huguette Clark Estate, the SB Zoo, downtown Santa Barbara, and its harbor too, all while retaining total privacy.

This home was completely remodeled and upgraded with the finest amenities and furnishings making it ideal for that modern but casual indoor/outdoor California lifestyle.

This home features a large pool, decks and grounds with beautiful mountain and ocean views, 3 Large bedrooms all with king size beds and massive ocean views, 4 Fireplaces, 4 baths which are finished with mahogany cabinets, marble & mosaic stone. Including a separate home office.
All bedrooms & almost every room in the home have amazing views of the Montecito Country Club, the Pacific Ocean, Channel Islands, Santa Barbara and it's coastline all the way to Ventura.

The master suite includes a private living area/den with a wet bar, fireplace and flat screen TV, and a private patio, wonderful for getting away from it all, but also a great place for small children to sleep close to Mom & Dad.

State of the art entertainment systems are though out the home and Pool area.

The lower level includes a seperate living area/den with fireplace, sofa bed, flat screen TV, sound system, full bath with jacuzzi tub and a large view bedroom with flat screen TV. All on the pool level making ideal for a kids hang out.

The gourmet kitchen hosts sleek stainless steel appliances, a center island with gas cook top and a dining counter for 4. The adjacent dining room has seating for 6, enjoy the protected outdoor patio off the kitchen with a three tiered cascading stone waterfall, a large stainless steel gas BBQ, a teak dining table for 6 and separate conversation area with seating for 4.

Centrally located and a 5 minutes drive to either the upper or lower Villages of Montecito both with unique restaurants and chic shopping, Butterfly beach and the Four Season Hotel and Spa, and the Coral Casino. The SB Zoo, downtown Santa Barbara and harbor are all within a 10 minute or less drive.

Pool heating is included June 1st through Sept 31th. The pool is heated to 82 degrees. The fee to heat the pool balance of the year is $250.00 for 7 night or less.

Spectacular Getaway!

Our stay in Montecito was spectacular. The property was expansive so that two very active small grandkids and four adults could all partake in their preferred activity without negatively impacting others. The pool was great for an afternoon swim after sightseeing or beach time. The views were amazing during the day and also at night when relaxing by the firepit. It was all we wanted and more.....and would certainly like to come back.

Fabulous home & location

This home was exactly as described and a perfect getaway while visiting family. Many homes you rent feel sterile - not this one. You feel right at home immediately. And the view…it was amazing, as was the owner’s communication. We look forward to returning again.

The house was beautiful, multiple seating areas outside with plenty of shade, and 2 fire pits (altho we didn't use them). It is well-maintained. I was impressed with the fact that it was well-stocked as opposed to other places we have stayed. My daughter has to be completely gluten-free, and we had options for 2 other besides the main one so we were able to avoid any contamination. The property manager, Vonna, was easily reachable and very responsive. Unfortunately, the pool wasn't usable, issues with the heater, and although she tried to have it fixed while we were there, we maybe had one day, altho it didn't seem to maintain the temperature. I would suggest that perhaps they should consider replacing the mattresses, they're ok but somewhat worn. Santa Barbara was easily accessible, we had a great time. We would absolutely return as it was very comfortable.

Amazing Home + Outstanding Ocean Views

We were in SB for our daughters wedding and needed a place for the immediate family (3 couples) as well as open space for the bride and bridemaids to get ready all morning the day of the wedding. This place was absolutely perfect! 3 bedrooms each with their own bath. Huge kitchen / dining area / living room open space with ceiling to floor windows over looking the SB coastline. Everyone wants to come back, even the extended family members that stopped by throughout our stay. 5 Stars all the way.

Great house, Great view, Great location

Everything was easy, location was great. Spent time on the back decks enjoying the views. Loved the layout of the house and all the unique gathering areas. Vintage style took me back in time in a good way.

Jetliner Views in a Mid-Century Gem-box

Stayed here with a group of longtime friends for a getaway in Santa Barbara. The house had plenty of space for all 6 of us, is well provisioned and equipped - but the jewel in this crown is the humongous deck with killer views. We will hopefully be back.

Montecito Mid Century Estate

Exceptional says it all. Spectacular 180 degree view of the ocean, pool, well appointed kitchen and decorated beautifully. Family came with grand kids, layout of house was perfect with a suite bedroom, master bedroom and spacious bedroom for our family. Vonna, our host was terrific, communication was accurate, quick and cordial. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Wonderful time to spend with family and friends in celebrating my son's PHD celebration at UCSB.

House is amazing. Much, much bigger and more interesting than the pictures show. Incredible design details. The location is great - views and privacy - We had no trouble getting Ubers into town and back.

An Amazing Stay

There is a pretty good description of this property online but actually staying there exceeded our expectations. This is a unique property. It has character, stupendous views from almost every room, well stocked kitchen (appliances, dishes, silverware), spacious accommodations, wonderful landscaping, and a sense of delightful history in all the artifacts and paintings in every room. This one succeeds despite somewhat flakey WiFi, no easy way to use airplay, no heating in the pool. But we loved it and had a wonderful time.

A Stunning Home in Montecito

We had such a wonderful time in this dreamy mid century modern home. Didn't want to leave! Everything was simply perfect. The minute we stepped onto the property we were in awe. The view is spectacular, every single room is lovely and comfortable with more amenities than we could ask for. So stylish, comfortable and inviting. And the location was the best. A quick drive to Coast Village Road and downtown Santa Barbara. Vonna was so lovely and went out of her way to make our stay perfect. Thank you Vonna! We will be back and can't wait!

Montecito paradise

I cannot say enough about this property and its location. The floor to ceiling windows in all rooms mean you are captivated by the stunning views of the Pacific which are only bettered when you go on to the beautiful decking area. The house feels like home as soon as you enter and is without doubt the best equipped house I have rented. Vonna the owner was a joy to deal with and I would not hesitate in recomending this property to anyone that planned to visit this area.

Amazing home!

The home and the location were spectacular! The home was beautifully decorated and check in was easy. The home was a total delight from start to finish. Every room was beautifully decorated, the place had all the amenities that one could ask for and the outside deck and the view were truly breathtaking! We cannot wait until we return and thanks again for allowing us to share your magnificent home!

Dreamy Montecito

My family and I had a wonderful stay in Montecito! The property is very clean, stylish, and has everything you need to have a comfortable family vacation. The view across the golf course to the ocean is perfect, and the large outdoor area is lovely and inviting. My niece had a great time plying in the pool. Montecito and Santa Barbara restaurants, beaches, sights, and shopping areas are all very close, and we loved hiking to the hot springs. We would definitely stay here again!

One word: Fantastic

This was our first trip to California as a family from the east coast. We'd asked nearly everyone we knew from CA where to visit and unanimously everyone said go to Santa Barbara. We have young adult children (24,18 and 18) so finding someplace that everyone will like is always challenging. This place was it. I can go on and on abut Santa Barbara as it was well worth the visit but the best part about it was THIS HOUSE. Here it is in a nutshell: First of all - it is huge. There were 5 of us but it always felt like you had so much space both inside and out. The outside garden is truly amazing. There are 5 different places you can sit outside to drink coffee. You couldn't see any of the neighboring gardens - SUPER PRIVATE. The kitchen, living room, bedrooms, bathrooms (best shower ever) all had everything you needed and then some. Everything made you feel like you were staying in a castle. I guess the best way to put it is that it was EASY to stay here. Everything is more fun when it is easy. If you've made it this far - here are the 2 BEST things about it: 1. The location. You are 5 minutes from downtown Montecito and 8 minutes to Santa Barbara meaning you had enough space to separate from both of those areas, but you could be there in an instant. I would NOT recommend staying somewhere where you could "walk to the beach" - just too busy and crowded for us. Here - you don't have that as the neighborhood is super cool and in the perfect place. 2. The owners - we were fortunate to meet the owner who also manages the property. She gave us all kinds of great info on what to do, where to go, where not to go, and also some background on her fascinating house. She made us truly feel at home. Bottom line - if you are visiting from anywhere - stay in this house - it's fantastic and you won't regret it. John D. Massachusetts

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful weeklong stay at this midcentury-modern masterpiece. Spacious, architecturally special house with artistic landscaping, a pool, and a stunning view! Owner was welcoming and very responsive. An eight-minute drive from wonderful restaurants, supermarket, gym, etc. and 10 minutes from a lovely, swimmable beach. Will definitely try to return for a future holiday.

AWESOME

This was a family birthday celebration for one of our daughters. There were 5 of us staying in this very "COOL" home. We had a glorious time. The home and the view exceeded our expectations. Communication with the PM was excellent! We will absolutely be staying here again!!
