Secluded Cottage with Beautiful Views on Lake Wisconsin!

Available May through September - Quaint and secluded cottage on one of Wisconsin's most beautiful lakes. Perfect for a week getaway or stay the whole summer. With excellent fishing, you can fish right off of our user friendly pier or hop in your boat and explore all Lake Wisconsin has to offer. Enjoy grilling out on the deck over looking the lake or making S'Mores down by the fire pit. If grilling out or eating in, is not your thing, then visit one of the many fine establishments on the lake. Either way, you'll be sure to enjoy and make memories that will last a lifetime. If you are an avid photographer or bird watcher, don't forget your camera. Between the sunrises and sunsets and the abundance of wildlife, you will capture photos that will speak for themselves.

My husband and I stayed here for a week, and it was the perfect city escape. The cabin was so cozy at night, the dock was great for fishing, and evenings by the fire pit overlooking the moonlit lake were unforgettable. Secluded, peaceful, and picture perfect- we can’t wait to come back!

A lakefront gem

This quaint cottage was a perfect home base for our family reunion in the Merrimac area. The lake views with so many beautiful trees help to create a very comfortable vibe.The cottage interior is spacious and the furnishings fit the location perfectly. We will definitely keep this gem in mind with future family reunions.

Beautiful views in a great lakeside cabin

We have stayed here multiple times and it never disappoints. The cabin layout is great, everything is clean and in great shape. The property is gorgeous with beautiful views of the lake and large open green area and perfect setting with a functional dock and great fire pit area. A huge plus is also how communicative the property management is. We had to make some last minute adjustments and they were no issue at all because of the fast response and ability to accommodate.

Peaceful location

Great little place! We were close enough to the Dells and far enough away to enjoy the cottage which was peaceful. The owner recommend H’s for us to try out pizza and it didn’t disappoint, the pizza was amazing so check it out!

Very cozy home on a private lot. Great deck and fireplace for hanging out and enjoying the sounds of the lake. It was September, so we did not get in the water, but would have gone swimming. The house has a great living area for hanging out with friends or family. The bathroom is small, but has everything needed to take care of necessities. We usually prefer queen or larger mattresses, since we are both tall, but the full size beds were fine for a long weekend. The kitchen was well stocked, with supplies. We thought the cooktop only would be a problem, but the grill is great. So most cooking done on it. Great experience, great location. Thanks Dawn for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful and quiet place!

The property is absolutely beautiful! Stunning lake front property perfect for a great getaway. The dock makes it so nice if you like to fish or dock your boat. It’s so cozy for crisp fall nights. The TV channel selection is excellent and the WIFI is super fast. Highly recommend and we will be staying again if available.

Perfect cabin get away

This is a cozy, private cabin with a beautiful lake view. Perfect for a peaceful get away. Easy drive to Devils Lake for hiking and Portage for a day on the river. Plenty of nearby options for groceries, gas, and places to eat out. Definitely will be back!

Family Vacation

Very fun vacation with family on the lake. Quiet and peaceful area. Spent time on the water, at Devils Lake and in the Dells. Enjoyed a fire by the water every night.

Lovely large lot for this sweet cabin in the woods. Screened porch was perfect for morning coffee on a rainy morning. Would definitely return and recommend!

Beautiful setting. right on water close to lot's of activities but also a chance to get away from it all. Note both beds are double beds.

Great Property, Great Stay

The property was great. Yard, views, and house were all beautiful and well taken care of. Also the check out process didn’t put to much on us to care of, making for an easy pack out. We also liked that the property is close enough to state park and Wis dells, but nit so close that you felt like a resort. We got cabin like feel on the lake but close enough to take advantage of everything the area has to offer.

Relaxing retreat

View was wonderful! Coming from a big city, we enjoyed the peace and quiet and slower pace. Great central location/hub to see the sights such as the Cave of the Mounds, Ringling Brothers, Crane Preserve, Frank Lloyd Wright house, the Dells, or just to hang out around the cabin. Dawn is very easy to work with. We had a great stay!

Beautiful/Relaxing

What a wonderful place for a ladies week away. We found the cabin very clean and well stocked. Gas grill ready to go & extra tank of gas available. Plenty of wood for the fire pit. We took our float loungers and enjoyed floating in the lake. Highly recommend this cabin on the lake.

Mesmerizing views!

We had a great time. Communication was great and immediate. Host thought of everything- even the last day, we would open a cabinet and find more thoughtful items, I.e. extra toothbrushes, extra towels, etc. Great views of the lake from the porch. Will defenetely stay again next year. Thank you!

Peaceful and Serene

As usual our stay was heavenly. Excellent place to remember what life is truly all about. Perfect location and just has everything one could ever need. Dawn is the best host! My only complaint was we had to leave . I should have booked it for two weeks.!

We absolutely loved it!! It was so clean and cozy and had everything we needed!! We caught many many fish off the pier we enjoyed the kayaks and blow up rafts we had a fire one night and we also had lunch on the deck .. we spent most of our time on the pier.. I loved the privacy and how quiet it was .. we will DEFINITELY be back and we are already recommending it to many!! Thank you!!!!

Absolutely Beautiful!

This review is long overdue considering we were there last May. Nonetheless, my husband and I were there for two nights for his 30th birthday. We were looking for a quiet weekend by the lake and we got that plus so much more. The house itself is at the end of a lane so it really does have a secluded feeling. When we walked in, the house was immaculate! It was apparent the owners take pride in their property. The views of the lake were breathtaking and could be seen from the deck and inside the house. It almost felt like you were in a houseboat when cooking :) We had an amazing time having meals on the deck, sitting by the fire, and even used the paddle-boat one of the days. Thanks again for letting us stay at your beautiful lake house! We cannot wait to return soon!

Eager Future Guest

I have not yet had the pleasure to be a guest at this cabin; however, I'm very impressed with the pictures and the description offered. In addition, I love the response that the owner provided to the person who left a somewhat poor review. It is clear that the owners take great pride in their cabin and have spent a lot of time, money, and energy to give families the opportunity of a lifetime. Having two little girls, ages 2 and 4, I can only wish to have this experience some day (when finances are not eaten up by the cost of daycare). :) This is a good reminder to me to be grateful for what I have and respect that others for their efforts. Looking forward to being a guest someday!

Relaxing Getaway!

We spent a week at this great cottage. The pictures do not do this place justice. We had plenty of room even on the nights when our family numbered five. The cottage is at the end of a gravel road and is very secluded, with a huge lawn and surrounded by woods. As people mentioned - there is not a walkway from the car park area to the cottage but the owners have thoughtfully placed a wagon nearby for our use. We were able to relax in the peace & quiet on the hammock and on the swing, along with sunning & fishing on the pier and sitting on the deck. They had plenty of fire wood available - which we enjoyed almost every night at the nice fire pit. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils, cookware, containers and even had some basic cooking supplies (salt/pepper, cooking oil, coffee & filters, baggies, etc). There is not an oven but there is both a toaster oven and the grill so we did not have any issues with that. The bedrooms were small but the beds were comfortable and they have done a great job providing storage space for your clothes. Dawn provided a lot of little extras such as books, games, etc. She was easy to communicate with and answered any of our questions. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place. Thank you Dawn for sharing your home with us.
