This unit was a very convenient walk to shopping, restaurants, and lots of historic sights. The floors were not level but otherwise, it was great. It was very clean and comfortable. My only complaint was there were not enough towels & wash cloths. With a quick message, more were delivered, so it was a very quick fix. We would definitely stay in this unit again when we visit.

Great host! Great location! Clean! Unleveled floors were a surprise. Certainly not a location for someone who has challenges walking on uneven or level surfaces.

Great location! It was very clean and VERY small. It’s perfect for 2 people. We would rent again, but there are some things to be aware of. The twin pull out was very tiny (and uncomfortable) and the entirety of the living space, so not ideal if you want to sit and watch tv. All of the floors are uneven (even the tub) so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. It was fine for us. Very weak water pressure if that matters to you. The girls next door were VERY loud. They were playing loud music early in the morning and came home very late and were loud. There’s only a thin door separating the spaces so unavoidable, just be aware.

Great little Gem!

We only stayed for one night to celebrate my daughters Birthday. Loved the accommodations and location. Would stay again (hopefully longer than 1 night).

Girl’s birthday trip

I came down here with my sister and mom and we had a great time!! The place was within walking distance to every restaurant we had booked and a short walk to king street! There are plenty of breakfast spots nearby and the place was perfect for our group of 3!!

We selected this property for the proximity to the college of Charleston. It was an easy walk to campus and close to many restaurants.

Easy walk to King Street

People in adjoining room were very loud but the house was nice and cozy. AC worked great and place was comfortable. Loved being able to walk everywhere.

Cozy House

Enjoyed our stay at this property. It was close to many of restaurants. The main bedroom was lovely and great size. The second bedroom a bit on the small size. Great decor. Parking spot was around the corner. The floors are definitely slanted.

Great location - Beautiful place

The location was great. We could walk to everything. We had breakfast at Holey Bagels across the street. We were out and about the rest of the day and explored other restaurants for lunch/dinner. This unit was decorated beautifully. I stayed here with a friend and we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. It was hard to leave our "Charleston home".

We had the best time in Charleston. Walked all over during the day. Scheduled activities everyday. Loved the bagel shop across the street, Holy Ciy Bagels & the cafe, Babas down the street. Took pedicabs home fro downtown every night. Absolutely great time. Loved the little house, even the 3 in slant in the bathrooms. Will highly recommend.

Get away

Overall it’s a cute place! The place was clean and owner was great to communicate with. The neighbors were a touch loud and slamming doors but thankfully they left after our first day/night. Of course that’s nothing the owner could control. Folks just need to be mindful of others. Would stay again!

Just perfect!

This property exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by the host, who ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property itself was clean, beautifully decorated and equipped with needed appliances. The bedrooms were cozy and well-appointed, providing a peaceful retreat after a long day of exploring. The location was another highlight—situated in a quiet neighborhood, yet just a short distance from King Street, restaurants, and shops. Overall, this rental was the perfect getaway for two couples. The attention to detail, comfortable accommodations, and excellent location made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this property.

Charleston VRBO

Good location. Needed more counter space in the baths. Needed closets. Needed larger living room space. I have mobility problems and did not understand the driveway restrictions and walk to parking lot until after I booked the space.

Beware of staying in this unit when it is hot outside. Upon arriving, we noticed that the temperature inside was not very cool. We addressed this with YourPad and discovered that the air conditioning unit is actually shared with the adjoining unit and that the thermostat is located in the adjoining unit. So, the adjoining unit has control over what the AC is set at. However, even when we could hear the AC running, we could still feel hardly any cool air coming up from the vents. We suffered through 3 hot, sleepless nights until we finally packed up and went to a hotel for our final night.Also, this unit is rated for 3 people, but it is really hardly big enough to accommodate 2 people. It is tiny. There is no room for anything. The pullout sofa bed is torturous.This all being said, we had a really good experience with YourPad. They were quick to respond when we had issues with the AC and shortage of towels/linens. Ultimately, the AC issue could not be resolved quickly and will not be resolved unless the owner puts some money into the unit. YourPad did refund our last night to us, which helped with the cost of the hotel room for that night.

Cute little apartment

Cute apartment in an adorable community near King St., just steps from Holy City Bagels. The apartment is historic and decorated beautifully. It’s small but functional. We had 3 adults, and while we had plenty of room, there wasn’t much space to stretch out. There are no closets, so keep that in mind when packing. If anyone in your party is a larger size, the space might feel a bit tight. Overall, we had a great stay. We walked everywhere or used the free DASH shuttle. King Street is literally steps away, along with tons of coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and shops.

The noise from the group upstairs was absolutely terrible. A group of young girls in their 20s partied until 4am and we could hear everything. I’m sure they were over the limit, guest wise. It was awful.

Good, not great

We stayed on the ground floor of this beautiful 2 bed, 2 bedroom condo. A family with young children were above us on the second floor. We could hear every footstep and every conversation. Also, the location was much more difficult for seniors to walk from, than it was for our teens. 2 miles one way was okay, but the roundtrip of 4 miles was difficult for an over 70 with back issues. Also, the add on fees of the vrbo made it almost unaffordable. For first time visitors, Charleston is an expensive city.

We're glad you enjoyed the condo overall, but totally get how the noise from upstairs and the longer walking distance made things a bit tricky, especially for your group. Charleston’s definitely a walkable city, but it can be a bit much depending on where you're coming from and who’s in your group. And yeah, we hear you on the VRBO fees—travel here can add up fast.
