Our group enjoyed the historic home in a historic neighborhood. It has lots of character. There were plenty of beds, towels, and wash cloths. We couldnā€™t get the oven to work. But we improvised and it didnā€™t affect our stay. We had breakfast down the street at Damn Fine Hand Pies. It was also a good find.

Property is about 20-25 minutes from the airport, which is super convenient when arriving later in the day. When you walk in the house you are greeted with a clean and airy foyer. The house is truly awesome. Stained glass windows and large baseboards. The bedroom arrangement was super convenient with the large group I had. The home owners were very easy to deal with and attentive to our needs. I have stayed in a lot of VRBO houses all over the country and this one is top notch

We stayed here and at a property nearby for a family reunion. The house was as described. The owner was responsive. Our family (ages: infant to 70 years old) felt comfortable staying here and walking through the neighborhood to the other property. Only drawback was that the 3 rooms on the 3rd floor shared 1 bathroom. The house was as described and weā€™d be happy to stay here again in the future!

Great stay with great host

My family and I stayed at this property for my brotherā€™s college graduation. We have previously stayed at this property, and it was just as great this time as the previous stay. This time I brought along my 1 year old daughter and was very happy they had a high chair, several gates, and a pack and play available for use. The host Ann was very responsive before our trip and was able to quickly respond to any questions I had. We love the charm of this house and appreciated playing games in the dining room and back yard. Definitely recommend this property! The area felt pretty safe, we went on several walk around the area without any issues.

We have stayed at a lot of VRBO places over the past 14 years with our groups. This was undoubtedly the most accommodating and welcoming property we have ever stayed at. It was fully equipped, had more-than-adequate towels, dishes, utensils and space. It made the trip so much more enjoyable for our group. I would stay here again in a minute! It is a great location, a magnificent house, and a very accommodating host.

It was a great area. Close to SLU for graduation and convenient for restaurant and other activities. We went for walks every night so the neighborhood was great.

Family Vacation in St Louis

Amazing historic home! We had two families with kids plus grandma. Everyone had their own space for quiet time when needed. Kitchen was fully appointed and we prepared big family meals. Plenty of room for game nights. Kids loved playing hide and seek. Location was great. Safe neighborhood near all the activities on our itinerary. Parking was perfect for our 3 vehicles. Highly recommend!

Graduation Weekend!

My entire family came out to celebrate my daughterā€™s graduation from SLU. The home was big enough so everyone had their own space, but we could enjoy time together on the main floor! Highly recommend this lovely historic location!

A Magical House!

My sister and I stayed in this home with our children and it is magical! There's charm and beauty everywhere. The seating in the living room and dining room is plentiful. The kitchen has a lot of space and convenience for making meals. The pantry is wonderful for all of the snacks we brought. The laundry and half bath on the main floor made things even easier. The bedrooms are large and there are plenty of them! The bathrooms are nicely updated. The secret room is cute and we even found a trick wall between a closet and another bedroom on the middle floor. Having a long driveway to park in was icing on the cake. The only down side was the cold. It's an old and very large home so we had to rely on thick socks/slippers, throw blankets and warm drinks. If you need a place for a large group of people and love an old house, this one is the best we have found in the area. Oh! and the owner is quick with communication. We felt very well taken care of.

We had a lovely stay at the property after the holidays. It was a big house with lots of space for 8 adults and 7 kids to spread out and run around. Clean, quiet and host was very kind. Will definitely stay again!

Family Christmas

The home was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay in St Louis. There was lots to do and the food was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this house especially if you have a large group. Three floors and bedrooms galore!

When we aren't at one of the finest vacation homes in the city, we are hanging out with our twin middle schoolers. We love to enjoy the four seasons here and take a lot of walks, sometimes visiting the fantastic museums, zoo, and riverfront.

Our home in Shaw has been lovingly maintained since 1906. We were enamored from the first visit by the original details, especially the foyer that peaks all the way up to the 3rd floor.
