The location was great to have that secluded feel but still be able to get to stores or activities if you need to. We spent the bulk of our time relaxing at the house, so it was great to have lots of space and access to the creek. The hosts were very accommodating and provided lots of information about things to do in the area. We will definitely be back to experience it during a different season too.

Jeff and Barbra are unique hosts in that THEY love their property and genuinely want to share a space they love. They donā€™t just do the minimum upkeep. They go beyond! They genuinely want you to get the most out of your stayā€¦complete instructions about how to use their wood burning stove, and complete access to firewood.The cabinā€™s sense of warmth comes from their heart for the property. Obviously, itā€™s beyond clean and well appointed. Certainly everything you could need is available.I stay there alone, and I feel perfectly safe. The loft space is my favorite. Its spacious and gives you a feeling of having a ā€œroom of oneā€™s ownā€Come for the sound of the river that fills the cabin, stay for the comfort!

Cozy Cabin Retreat

This was my husband and I's very first Vrbo experience and it could not have been better! The whole process of booking and staying was so easy. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for and more! It had everything that we could need. We enjoyed dinner by the creek, a relaxing fire in the fire pit, and breakfast on the back deck. It was the perfect mix of a relaxing woodsy log cabin, while also not being too far off the beaten path to enjoy some local spots. We would highly recommend a stay here if you're looking for a place to unwind and get away!

The cabin and its location are beautiful. But here are a few tips for future visitors:1. If the door code does not work when you arrive, make sure you login to the host's wifi using the password sent to you, and then turn on wifi calling to call the host. This happened to us and the host said it never happened before. He was able to reset the code remotely after about 30 minutes.2. We missed that there was no microwave on the list of amenities. So don't plan on bringing food to heat up in a microwave.3. When we were there the temperature was below zero for a couple nights. The two Mitsubishi wall heaters don't work at these temperatures, and the baseboard heaters had trouble keeping up at night, making for chilly mornings. The woodburning stove worked well, but then it got too warm later in the day. 4. The living room couch and chair are getting very worn out and could use an upgrade.5. Firewood was stacked and covered through deep snow in the side yard so we managed to ration the wood provided inside to last the 3 days we were there. Bring some paper to help start your fires.Overall this is a very nice place for a get-away. I wish we could give it a higher rating, but we stayed in a cabin in Muncy Valley, PA, that set the standard for us for a top rating. This one was not quite at that level. But you should definitely consider this one if you want a get-away.

NYE Getaway!!

We had the most incredible New Yearā€™s Eve getaway at this cabin! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautifully decorated it was for Christmasā€”it truly felt like stepping into a winter wonderland. The kitchen was exceptionally well-stocked, making it easy to prepare our holiday meals without needing to bring anything extra. The cozy ambiance, thoughtful touches, and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. Whether relaxing by the wood burning stove or enjoying the peaceful surroundings, and the babbling creek every moment was perfect. We canā€™t wait to come back! Highly recommend this gem of a cabin!
