Excellent Central Village Location. Walk to every village attraction, but a quiet, peaceful location -- Tastefully decorated open floor plan with a true Adirondack flavor. Stretch out, relax and enjoy your comfortable getaway right in the village.

This home will be the ideal getaway for your family to enjoy together. Discover the convenience of being in the center of the olympic village while relaxing in a quiet and peaceful setting. Escape the hustle and bustle of home without having to isolate yourselves in the deep woods.

Unwind on one of our three secluded outdoor decks. The lower deck has a hot tub, and access to the private backyard. The middle deck is screened and has table and chairs -- nice for evenings with wine and relaxation (without the bugs!!). The upper deck has a picnic table, comfortable Adirondack chairs and a gas BBQ -- great for taking in the mountain sunshine.

Heated 2 stall garage - for cars, sports equipment or ski tuning. Driveway accommodates 3 cars perpendicular to the road for easy access. No on street parking available.

Our cozy den has a beautiful gas fireplace and large screen TV. The spacious Adirondack great room has cathedral knotty cedar ceilings and plenty of room to relax and unwind.

Centrally located in the heart of the historic village of Lake Placid.

Explore the village, walk to the Olympic Arena, catch the Whiteface Ski Shuttle, jog around Mirror Lake or bike the fabulous scenic mountain highways.

Easy access to swimming (Mirror Lake), biking, skiing, tobogganing and many other outdoor activities. Enjoy a relaxing stroll to dinner at one of the many fine restaurants and pubs in town. Sample some of the award winning micro-brews or savor your favorite wine without having to worry about who is going to safely drive you home. Easily accessible in the winter.

At-home recreation includes: Hot Tub (8 person), Three outdoor decks, Gas Fireplace, Professional Quality Ping-Pong Table, Air Hockey, Foosball, UHD 55 inch LED TV, High-Speed Wireless Internet, small library.

We are a friends/family house in a quiet neighborhood. No teams, parties or drinking games allowed. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 p.m.
Salt water hot tub requires clear water rinse bathing suits and showering before each use. Failure to do so leads to excessive foam and Ph problems.
We are a no smoking property. No cigarettes, pot, cigars, bonfires etc in house, garage, porches or decks. Smoking will forfeit security deposit.

The house was great and the pictures/description provided describe it well. The check-in process was easy, including getting onto wifi and figuring out how everything works (they have notes in a lot of places to help out). The communication was always prompt, thorough, and helpful. Everything about it was excellent.My one note to consider: There is a fairly steep hill between the house and Main Street. It was an easy walk for me (50) and my kids, but it some of the streets were challenging for the grandparents in our group (75-80 yo). We found a path that was less of a challenge (take a left out of the house and connect to Main St by the church), and that made a big difference. I only mention this because it is not clear on the map, and anybody with mobility challenges might find it hard. That said, we also had no trouble finding parking downtown when we did drive that way.All around, I would absolutely recommend this place and we would happily stay here again if we head back to Lake Placid.

We have stayed here before. Great location. Easy walk to Main Street or around Mirror Lake. Plenty of room for family and guests. Owners have thought of everything. Hot tub was really nice after day of hiking.

Family-Friendly in Lake Placid

We had a wonderful stay with 4 adults and 4 children. The host is very communicative and installed a baby gate without us even asking- which ended up being incredibly helpful. Everything about it was great, but highlights would include the screened-in porch, small yard, hot tub, and tremendous amounts of adaptable indoor and outdoor space for everyone. Location is definitely walkable down to Main Street (a little hilly as expected), and close proximity to a playground or the hill over Main Street to find some fantastic views. Easy drive to the town, Mirror Lake Beach, hiking, or Saranac Lake. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay

The property looks even better than the pictures. Location is quiet yet less than 15 min walk to Main Street. Also walkable to supermarket and other stores. Some highlights are:Heated garages (A must for winter). Cathedral ceiling in open and well appointed main living space. Extremely well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. Hot and powerful water pressure. Comfortably set climate control. Classy front entrance and foyer. Separate lower level living space with functional fireplace. Ping pong / Table football and more in game room. And of course the hot tub! Due to weather, we didn't get to use any of the 3 decks, but I can imagine they are great in warmer weather.Hosts were wonderfully communicative. Checked on us to ensure all was good throughout the stay.Highly recommended!

Fantastic stay during Ironman week

Stayed here with 3 adults and 2 young children during Ironman week. Everything about the house was as described and fantastic. Starting from before check-in when Molly accommodated allowing me to check-in early to drop off my bike. This was a huge stress relief since we had activities planned and I didn’t have to worry about the security of my bike. There is plenty of space for everyone and we enjoyed all having our own space to hangout when needed. The bunk room on the lower level was great. All the beds were comfortable. My son loved the game room downstairs and I loved having the hot tub after the Ironman. Location-wise the property is very convenient to everything. Main Street is about a 5 minutes or less walk. There are some steeper hills to walk into town, but they weren’t a problem for anyone in the group. This house would be great during any time of year, but was really perfect during the Ironman. It was close enough to walk to everything, but removed from the immediate madness of Main Street. If you have a family there’s really no need to look anywhere else for a place in Lake Placid.

Great 4th of July Week Vacation

My extended family loved our stay at this property for our annual summer family vacation. Lots of room to spread out, great decks and outdoor space. We loved the hot tub and the ping pong tables and being able to walk into town (my 75 year old father and a 40 year old pregnant woman found the walk too challenging due to the huge hills you have to go up and down) The "Queen" beds felt more like doubles to my family who slept in them. Also the humidity spiked at the end of our trip and even with ceiling fans throughout the house, we were pretty hot overnight. I would bring some extra fans if your stay includes a heat wave!

Long weekend

Great Get-Away!

Multi-generational family outing. The rooms and spaces in the house worked beautifully for us. Large kitchen gathering space is awesome. Molly communicated extremely well to our questions. Location is very convenient to town and area highlights. Would definitely return.

Couldn't be more convenient, yet quiet.

We were surprised how close we were to all of the Lake Placid attractions. Such a short walk to town, yet the neighborhood felt very quiet and tucked away. Very clean, and plenty of space for use to spread out. Hot tub was a fam favorite!

Lake Placid

We had a good time exploring all the natural beauty in the area. The house was perfectly located 2 mins walking to downtown. Many excellent restaurant opportunities. Relaxing after the long day in the hot tub was nice. All in all a good time.

August in Lake Placid

Lovely house in a quiet neighborhood we had all ages from seniors to grand children. The house was perfect with ample bedrooms and bunk room for kids. Perfectly equipped with games, hot tub and nice yard for lots to do when not touring Adirondack attractions. Great communications with owner and prompt attention to only issue!

Perfect Location!

We so enjoyed our time here! The home is nicely located with easy access to downtown Lake Placid - minus the noise and the traffic. It is very clean, well appointed and well stocked! Everything we could possibly need was available in the kitchen, right down to plastic cups and plates for the little ones. Love, love, love the screened in porch and deck! We would definitely stay again.

A Lake Placid Gem

This multi-leveled home provided great space and comfort for a large group. Loved the open floor concept for the kitchen/dining room/living room. It accommodated space for meal prep and group dinners and fostered relaxed conversations. The bunk room is great for kids but a little more challenging if older adults have to use it. The hot tub was an added bonus. The convenient walk to town was a plus. We were there to enjoy winter activities and FISU World University Games. Fortunately it snowed and the upgraded world class sports’ facilities made you feel like you were at the Olympics.

Relaxing lake placid week

This house was perfect for our group. Two families with kids ages 7,9 and 11. Super easy to walk into town for shopping and meals and very close to mirror lake. The open floor plan is great for hanging out as a group and the bedrooms suited our needs well. Would definitely recommend. We will be back!

Lake Placid retreat

This was a great property for our family getaway for the Ironman race and some vacationing. Perfectly located to easily walk to town in 5 minutes, but tucked away from the craziness of the weekend events. Quite even when town is not!!!! House was spacious, multiple areas for guests to spread out, amazing back porch and screened in porch to kick bacl and relax. Easy access to grocery, walmart and many amenities. Definately recommend this rental!

Our family loves the Adirondacks and Lake Placid in particular. Lake Placid is a wonderful year round family vacation destination. Our four kids all ski raced growing up. We continue to enjoy alpine and cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. Summer in Lake Placid boasts golf, hiking, swimming and boating. In addition to lots of outdoor things to do, we always seems to find some olympic level event to watch. Lake Placid truly has something for everyone.

Location, location, location. 44 Grandview is walking distance to Main Street shopping and restaurants, Mirror Lake, and the 'Miracle on Ice' Olympic Venue. You can sit on the deck and hear people finishing the Ironman. Yet it's also tucked in a quiet residential neighborhood for premium relaxation. We love to get to LP, and leave the car in the driveway.

44 Grandview is the best of both worlds - good gathering space for everyone to be together coupled with private space to curl up with a book or enjoy the view. The loaded game room in the unfinished basement is a hit with kids of all ages. The well stocked kitchen allows for easy meal prep. and nothing beats ending the day in the hot tub, extra special if its snowing.
