Recently remodeled 650 square feet studio in quiet neighborhood on a dead end street. Walk to downtown Petaluma and enjoy this charming gateway to the wine country, redwoods and the California coast. All within a half hour drive.

Petaluma is located only 40 miles north of San Francisco and freeway access is only 2 miles away.

The studio is downstairs in one end of the owners main residence and is done in a contemporary style. Enjoy the gas fireplace while you dim the halogen lighting or enjoy the breathtaking views from your private deck.

Feel free to use the owners solar heated pool just a few steps away.

Our rates are $187/night for 2-6 nights, $147/night for 7-13 nights, $127/night for 14-29 nights and $87/night for 30+ nights.
Please note that the VRBO website is not able to quote you a correct rate for a 14-29 night stay, so kindly request a quote and we will send you a correct offer.

Please note that the City of Petaluma has initiated a 10% occupancy tax as of January 1 2016 for all vacation rentals for stays of less than 30 nights. This tax will be added to any quoted price. The studio was very comfortable and nicely set up. Claus has an eye for details. The furniture was high quality and the bed very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay!

Excellent unit, and Claus is an excellent host! Could not ask for a better appointed and perfectly located place. The view is wonderful, the bedding and towels great, and the unit is spacious and well-designed. This will now be our go-to place when we are visiting our family in Petaluma. Thank you, Claus!

We enjoyed our stay at this studio. Everything was clean and the furniture and bed were very comfortable. There was some really cool art and decor in the space and everything was well organized. There are beautiful views out the windows. The host was very kind, flexible and responsive and even provided fruit, juice, milk and eggs. Would love to visit again.

Truly, there is nothing better than finding an owner and their property that exceeds your expectations. From the first communication, Claus was so professional and helpful with any questions and suggestions. The " Wine Country Studio " is lovely. One of the nicest VRBO rentals I have reserved. Claus has thought of everything. If I ever built a studio I would follow his floor plan. Decor is up to date and immaculate.After a long drive across country, my son was greeted with fresh juice, eggs and bread that started his next morning off in a welcoming way. Claus hospitality and care receives more than 5 stars.Views from deck overlooking Petaluma are stunning.Close proximity to town but on the hillside so the studio is very peaceful and serene. We have been deeply appreciative for the entire experience.

We really enjoyed our stay!Unexpected beautiful views. We were there during the summer and the pool was a real treat. Excellent shower, comfortable bed, and plenty of room for a studio. Klaus is friendly and extremely responsive. The studio is downstairs from the main house but completely private. It’s a great place to stay for a getaway!

Thank you so much for a great stay. We traveled up to Petaluma for a family reunion and it was the perfect location. Close to downtown and close to our family farm. We were able to use the kitchen to prepare food for the family potluck, which was perfect. He had everything we needed, including a blender, assortment of cutlery, measuring bowls/spoons, etc. We stayed an extra day to do some touristy things and got some great tips from Claus and his daughter. The apartment was lovely and clean. The location was easy to find and we had no issues checking in. Communication with Claus was great and all of the amenities and accommodations were so thoughtful. We very much appreciated the breakfast items that were gifted to us! They saved us time and money being able to prepare a nice breakfast before our day on the Russian River. The bed and sectional were very comfortable. My kids are very tall and both fit perfectly on the sectional and said they slept great. We arrived on the last day of a bit of a heat wave but opening the windows let in a nice breeze that cooled the apartment right down. The views were lovely, especially from the private patio! Overall we had a great stay! Definitely would give this space and the host 5 stars. Highly recommend!

Nice Place in Petaluma

Claus has a really nice VRBO here in Petaluma! I really liked that he had some basic groceries for us when we arrived. I think this is the first VRBO (out of many) that I've stayed in that has done that. I loved the view! My mom lives on the east side of Petaluma, and the west side is definitely nicer (don't tell her that though). It is a downstairs unit (as it says in the ad) and you never know how much you can hear people upstairs. I heard a little more of the "thump, thump" of people walking around than I would have liked. I think Claus may have had some extra people in the house the first night, but it did keep me up past midnight after a day of traveling which wasn't great. I did sleep better the next two nights. All in all, a nice place if you aren't sensitive to upstairs walking noise and don't mind an involved host.

Great place to stay

My wife and I had a wedding to attend in Petaluma. The studio was spacious for 2 people. We had an amazing view from the patio and the pool. We would stay there again the next time we are in town.

Fully stocked studio

The host was very accommodating and friendly. The studio was clean and had everything you could need for your stay. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of space to store your things. The area is really lovely for walks and there is a park nearby. If Im back in Petaluma I will stay here again.

"The Best City in the World"

Claus was the host with the most! Not only was the space and the location perfect, but he was so kind and responsive. He filled our fridge with tons of different items; the pantries were stocked. We had everything we needed and then some. He came to meet us once we arrived and was so respectful and kind. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, had great recommendations, and took the time out of his day to get to know us. None of that was something he needed to do, but it just goes to show that he cares and really wants the best for his guests. I will absolutely be returning with my family, this stunning location mixed with the greatest host, who could ask for more! 10/10 for Claus. He's an absolute star.

A wonderful place to stay

I loved the space. It was even better than described. There were beautiful views of the surrounding hills and the lights of Petaluma in the evening. The location was great, just mintues to anywhere you'd like to go in Petaluma and close access to the highway to go anywhere else. Klaus was a great host, very patient every time my dog tried to get into his house. LOL. There was a loaf of delicious bread and coffee there for me when i arrived. I didn't have any issues, but i know if i had, he would have taken care of them immediately. I would absolutely stay there again. I saw other reviews mentioning the sunrises, but i'm not a morning person, so only saw one once! There were even deer hanging out in the neighborhood.

The owners went out of their way to make us comfortable

We didn’t get to use the pool due to it being winter, but it was lovely and the view is outstanding. We were surprised to find the goodies that the owners left us like eggs, milk, juice, and a specialty bread. Thank you so much for accommodating us in this way

Wonderful rental

Lovely

It was an enjoyable experience. Very thoughtful touches, from the beautiful artwork, the bouquets and the food treats. The view of the night lights of Petulma is pretty and the morning fog is cozy especially with the electric fireplace! The bed was very comfortable too.

Peaceful escape with fantastic views and host!

A really beautiful place to stay. A wonderful terrace with fantastic views and use of the swimming pool but also with the most well equipped accommodation. We couldn’t tear ourselves away from the terrace and the swimming pool and Claus, our host, was so accommodating and gave us some really great tips and had filled the fridge with goodies. We lucked out on this accommodation a fabulous stay!
