Beautiful view!!

Cabin very well stocked and comfy casual atmosphere...Grand views of the mountains and fall color a real plus!..a bit of a drive up the hill to get to, but worth the drive to enjoy our stay.

Great cabin and amazing property. Very private and peaceful setting. Incredible views and plenty to do right on property. We hiked, fished in the pond/lake (plenty of fish!), sat around the fire pit, movie nights on the big screen and enjoyed the hot tub each evening. The home is impeccably maintained, comfy beds, and plenty of space for gathering or finding a quiet spot to relax.

Time at the cabin

My family and I stayed at the cabin in June and we had a wonderful time. It was clean and beautiful. The host was very accommodating I would highly recommend for someone who wants a peaceful getaway.

I'm sorry for the late review but I did want to leave it now! Everything was wonderful from the moment we stepped into the home! Everything was spotless and wonderfully decorated! You have thought of everything one could need while staying. I do want to say that we were a little concerned over the rattle snakes under the stairs in the stacked wood. You should really move that stacked wood up off the ground and away from the stairs and house as we had snakes coming up the stairs and we could not let our dogs roam as freely as we would have liked. This can also be frightening if someone is bringing children. I know that this is an issue when staying at such a remote area but there are ways to deter them from being so close to the home. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about the property and loved having the lake to walked down to every day sometimes a few times throughout the day! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us and we would love to come again for a fall trip!

Beautiful Mountain getaway

You couldn’t ask for more!! Property is absolutely breathtaking. The cabin is well taken care of and has most ammentites you would need. Great communication with property manager. Looking for solace? This is the prefect place.

Spectacular place!! A MUST STAY!

What an amazing cabin! The pictures online did not do this place justice. Everything that was listed about this cabin was 100% accurate and then some. The view is second to none, and the pictures online did not do the view justice. We stayed at a few other cabin homes in SE Tennessee/Northern Georgia and this one had the best view, by far! The lake on the property is a bonus, especially if you like to fish like we do. There is even a little paddle boat that you can take out on the lake. The beds were so comfortable and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. It was about 30 minutes from Murphy, NC. My only advice would be to make sure you have an AWD or 4WD vehicle as the driveway going up to the cabin is steep (of course this is coming from a guy from NW Ohio). The rental company was amazing to work with. They answered all my questions and checked in on us while we were there. I would definitely rent from them again! 5-star company!!

Mountain Paradise

We recently spent a long weekend at Buckhorn Lodge. Our primary reason for choosing it was the mountain location and 57 acres. Even going in with high expectations, they were exceeded!The lodge itself is a great blend of rustic and comfortable, up on a ridge with a great view. The real star however was the property. We never left the property and spent our days hiking and exploring. According to my GPS watch, there's nearly 4 miles of gravel roads and hiking trails, including a favorite trail that goes from the house to the pond. It was like having our own slice of a national park, complete with a mountain stream. We also loved having fires in the fire pit at the lake. We went down a couple of nights for some phenomenal star gazing. At the end of each day we enjoyed the hot tub. We used it every night and it was a great way to relax while looking at the stars. We look forward to returning to Buckhorn Lodge!One note - AWD/4WD is truly a good idea. A couple of hills peaked out at 17 degree inclines, and even with dry conditions, 4WD was a big help. While my truck likely would've been good in 2WD, any slick conditions will definitely require AWD/4WD.

Weekend getaway

First class! I'm not a "write a review" kind of person, but yet I truly read all reviews before booking and this place deserves a review! Everything from the time we stepped foot in the door until we left was perfect! When you work long hours and rest is what you need, this place is it. The beds were extremely comfortable, they have placed darker shades in the bedrooms for less light, but the rest of the house is full of sunlight! The cleanliness of this place was over the top (and I look at everything), Kudos! Everything we needed to cook was supplied. We made a fire in the fire pit to continue to enjoy being outdoors. Again, in our busy lives, we forget how important the smalls things such as sitting by a fire, having conversation with your spouse or enjoying a sunset. The views are spectacular, just as they are in the pictures. We went for walks each day, walking to the lake, sat on the dock for a couple of hours and listened to NOTIHING BUT NATURE! Literally nothing but the sound of nature! After dark, we enjoyed the hot tub without any lights, you look up and your reminded of the millions of stars in the sky. When you are in the city or close enough, we forget how beautiful the night sky is. If you need some quiet time, or time to reconnect with someone, this place will do the trick. Enjoy!
