Located on iconic Cliff Dr among 5M-25M single-family homes, our location is basically a tourist noise free residential neighborhood yet walking close to Laguna Village, Heisler Park and beautiful beaches doors away. We are not in the crowded tourist areas that are so congested in Laguna Beach. We are in North Laguna Beach, which is another world of Laguna Beach, on the south border of Newport Coast and Newport Beach. Escape the troubles of the modern world and live like the locals, where life is one long holiday. Drop your shoulders, recharge your batteries, fill your senses and your tummy, all just steps away from sand between your toes.

Enjoy our close-in panoramic ocean view personal deck for complete relaxation, reading, or just chillin and gazing. Or within a couple of blocks you might want to try paddleboarding, paddle yoga at Fishermans Cove or Divers Cove, or surfing, kayaking, rent scuba gear, snorkeling gear, get scuba certified, go out on scuba boat, (all available one block away), have a massage or pedi/mani, hike the neighborhood trails, explore the tide pools, walk a block to Pavillions supermarket (with a Starbucks inside and a very upscale wine shop with amazing prices) for convenient stay-in ocean view deck dining, or shop for adult beverages or healthy indulgences: Husky Boy great burgers, Jan's for super healthy breakfast smoothies and Açaí bowls, and lunch, Reunion Kitchen dining and full bar, Pizza, Asada Mexican with margaritas; Black Dot Vietnamese coffee (strong) with take out breakfast and lunch, and more, all just doors away. This 1930s cottage is tastefully furnished in coastal appropriate appointments, no “thrift shop or garage sale finds”, with panoramic ocean views on prestigious Cliff Drive. One king bedroom with 100% cotton linens, full bath, granite kitchen with all the amenities, and original preserved beautiful trestle beams and hardwood floors throughout. Grand living room with trundle twin beds suitable for minors, Primary bedroom, living room plus personal deck overlook the ocean. All linens provided and professionally laundered. We have great WIFI. We provide beach chairs, towels and beach umbrellas.

Walk one block to the beach and to the entrance of Heisler Park which is perched along the waves for a breathtaking short walk to the enchanting Laguna Village with restaurants of every category, high end or taco stand, and local shopkeepers. Free daily trolleys can be picked up right across the street on Coast Hwy.

WE ARE 1 of Approx 50 LEGALLY PERMITTED VACATION RENTAL BUILDINGS BY THE CITY OF LAGUNA BEACH. WE GUARANTEE YOU WILL NOT BE SHUT DOWN PRIOR TO OR DURING YOUR STAY AND FORCED TO FIND A LAST MUNUTE HOTEL. We have been a vacation rental since 1997 and permitted since 2003. We book up early and quickly.

We have a strict no smoking policy on the whole property. The City of Laguna Beach also has a strict non-smoking policy everywhere in the city. This includes e-cigarettes, vaping and all other types of smoking.

Sorry we cannot accommodate pets.

We are not suitable for partying groups. Our mission is to offer a "live like a local" awesome beach vacation while at the same time being located in walk-friendly north Laguna Beach.

Do not be concerned that the property backs up to the Coast Hwy 1. It is not a traditional "highway" . It is the iconic state Coastal Highway 1 that weaves up the Pacific Coast from our southern border to Canada. In Laguna Beach it is just an ordinary 2 lanes each way main artery street with stop lights every couple of blocks. There is a garden courtyard buffer between the street and the cottage. The Bedroom and Living Room are on the Cliff Drive side and overlook Cliff Dr and the ocean across the street.

Laguna Beach is consistently among the top 10 beach resorts in the U.S. The Laguna Beach beach lifestyle is all around us, not partying groups that are so popular in our neighboring towns, but if you are coming here for a totally quiet experience our place may not for you. LagunaBeachCharmer’s two vacation rental cottages are for visitors looking for a vibrant beach "live like a local" escape with all the amenities of a bustling, popular, upscale Southern California beach town. At times there will be trucks, trolleys from the free trolley route we are on, occasional neighborhood construction, barking dogs, or motorcycles, exotic car show offs or modified exhaust cars (all whose revved up noise is forbidden in Laguna but they do it occasionally anyway), sirens or more, that pass by our cottages and by our immediate neighborhood of $5M+ homes. More than half of our guests return time and again.

Also, while we have great non metered street parking in front of the building for eight cars, in the hot weekend months those places fill up fast with beachgoers. Please be patient and a place will open up for you usually after 5 PM until about 10 AM. Weekends are the busiest. Once you are at the cottage, unless you are taking day trips, you will rarely have to move your car as we are a "walkability" neighborhood with a trolley stop a few yards away. The City of Laguna Beach also now provides the Laguna Local, which is an Uber-like Van that will pick you up at convenient designated spots and take you to your destination in Laguna Beach. No cost. No tipping.

Also, unusual for homes in Laguna Beach, we have central air-conditioning! We normally have a very mild temperature range but more and more we have occasional heat waves. We also have portable fans and ceiling fans.

If you wish to have an incredible stay and need a two bedroom, please check out our listing 310136. It's perfect for four people or a couple with two older children, but not suitable for children under seven. Or have a great great experience and book both cottages for up to 8 people.

For your safety and health concerns: we offer contactless, keyless entry. Our building is very well configurated for physical distancing. Our 3 cottages (one is our residence) are well separated and you do not have to interact with any other guest. Only our laundry room would have 2 other possible cottages share. Our cleaning crew are well trained in sanitizing and take all necessary precautions. All bedding, duvet covers, etc, are washed at a local professional laundry with each new guest. On site we have a new LG washer and dryer, state of the art for high-efficiency and sanitation. These are offered complementary along with detergent for our guests.
