Fully furnished 2-story 2-bedroom 1.5 bath home at Indian Peaks golf course

The guest rated my property so low because the bed was not made up when they arrived. The home had been thoroughly cleaned by a professional cleaning service prior to the guests arrival, but unfortunately there was a miscommunication between the cleaning service and my property contact person. The bed had been stripped and the sheets washed and dried but not put back on the bed. Everything else was in order. I was traveling overseas at the time and had limited communication options, so I had instructed the guests to contact my on-site liaison with any needs. However, they did not do so and elected to leave the property after the first night even though there were clean linens in the bedroom closet and in the linen closet. They opened the linen closet and removed an air mattress, a sleeping bag, a blanket and pillows all of which were left on the living room floor even though it would have been much easier to simply make up the bed with clean linens from the closet. I apologized for the bed not being made up and refunded the $200 cleaning fee, but there was no need for them to leave the property after the first night, especially since they had been told to contact my on-site liaison and chose not to do so. Additionally, when they departed, they left numerous lights and all the ceiling and floor fans on as well as the portable AC in the bedroom. When I returned home from my overseas trip, the drip pan under the AC was full and beginning to overflow on the carpet. Fortunately there was no damage, but had I been gone longer, the carpet would have been soaked! I have had excellent reviews in the past and feel this rating is totally unwarranted.
