Rocky Mountain Ranch Style Home. Relax and play in the beautiful community of Coal Creek Canyon conveniently located close to Boulder, Golden, Nederland, & Denver Metro. Lovely mountain views among old-growth pine & aspen trees & great stars! Comfortably sleeps 6 (2 per bed). *An extra person fee applies to over 6 guests; more than 6 requires owner approval (at least 72 hours before arrival) and an additional per person surcharge (8 person MAX). Private setting; the home sits on 11 grassy mountain acres. Horses graze on the fenced property. Paved roads to the property and a level circular driveway allow for easy entering, exiting, and unloading. Indoor Amenities include Full-Service Kitchen w/2 ovens, Washer/Dryer, 3 Baths, Large Dining Room, Large Living room, Wi-Fi, Satellite TV, Large Flat Screen TV, Pool Table, Fireplace (wood provided), and Nordic Track Pro Skier. NOTE: The home is in the mountains at 8000 feet and does NOT have A/C because Temperatures average about 15 degrees cooler than downtown in the summer, and it rarely requires additional cooling beyond a fan. Fans are provided in bedrooms and living room, we also have a mobile evap cooler. Outside Amenities include: Hot Tub, 2 Grills, 1 BBQ/Smoker & 1 propane, Umbrella Table w/ seating for 6, Hammock, Double Wood Swing, Child’s Play Area (Slides, Swings, Climbing wall), Fire pit for campfire fun (use subject to local fire restrictions). Ranch Style, one level, 3 Bedrooms, 3 baths, Bathtub, (newly renovated Master suite w/ private bathroom), Wood Burning Fireplace, Pool Table, Piano, Nordic Track, Full Kitchen (w/2 ovens), Dining Room, Laundry, Outdoor Hot Tub, Child's Play Area, 8 Horses (We provide carrots and apples to feed them). Stars are amazing here at 8000 feet above sea level and well away from city lights. On clear nights (especially in Wintertime) you can see the Milky Way spilling across the night sky)! The only cell tower up here is AT&T, so if you don't have their service, then no worries, we provide a landline (including long-distance w/in 48 mainland states). Inside the house is all hardwood or tile. We are a no-shoe house, so we recommend you bring a pair of slippers. Within a few minutes drive to Open Space and Recreation areas Gross Reservoir and Walker Ranch, for hiking, fishing, non-motorized boating (e.g. kayaking/canoeing), picnic areas, and breathtaking views of the Sunset. Lovely area! *Guests must understand that this is a working Ranch and that the Owner/s or helper may be on the land in a private fenced-off area that isn't part of the Vacation Rental. We greatly respect our guests' privacy and will never go into the main Ranch House or surrounding guest area at any time during guests' stay.

The host, Kim was exceptional in making our stay comfortable. The house amenities were perfect and the house was very comfortable for our group. The best thing is Kim kept in communication with us before arriving and alerted us of winter weather so we were prepared. Great stay.

We stayed as a family of 5 in this spacious home. It is a good location to experience hiking trails and wildlife. Kim, the owner is on site and explained all amenities in detail upon arrival. Quiet location, nice terrace and a great stay!

In the middle of trees and horses! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this Coal Creek Canyon location! The house was roomy and well stocked. And we visited with all kinds of birds, bunnies and chipmunks! It was good fun feeding the lovely horses! A great location!

Wonderful place to stay

Outside of the property being amazing, Kim and Bruce were excellent hosts. They thought of just about everything and when we did need something, Kim was very swift and polite with her replies. I along with the 4 friends that stayed with me, highly recommend this destination!

Perfect

We had an amazing stay at the ranch and from the youngest (3 years old) to the oldest (75 years old) everyone enjoyed there stay. Kim was a great host and communication was easy. We stayed 5 nights and would have loved to stay longer. Highly recommend to stay here.

Family vacation

Great setting and location. Clean and quiet, we found everything we needed with extras like hot tub and pool table. Friendly owner, easy to communicate. Will definitely consider staying again in the future.

Piece of Heaven

The host Kim was so gracious a very Lovely person . She made sure all was perfect at her beautiful home. There was fresh picked flowers in a vase on the table waiting for you , along with home made muffins .. The house is stocked with everything you would ever need for your stay . The home was very private and the property was gorgeous!I have never stayed at a better place;it was a week of perfection .

Surrounded by nature

Everything was great. We loved the horses. We fed them all of the apples and carrots. We visited the magical hut and it was very cool. We enjoyed the pool table, hammock, and hot tub (although the water was cloudy from the minerals in the water). We loved seeing the birds, chipmunks, and bunnies. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. We were able to visit Table Mountain and the Walker Ranch Trail nearby. We had a wonderful time.

I'm so glad you all enjoyed your time with us! Yes, we have well water that is very mineral-laden, but I assure you we treat the hot tub and make sure it's safe between all visits. It's because of the minerals that we provide petrified drinking water and ice for our guests, but the water is safe for hot tub use! I'm glad you got to enjoy hiking at Walker Ranch and enjoyed the surrounding area as well.

Peaceful

Clean, quiet and roomy. The horses are a plus for the kids. All amenities are within 30 minutes, close to trails and activities.

Kim met us and walked us through the entire house when we arrived. The house is so spacious, comfortable and well-stocked with everything you need to cook should you choose to. Our gracious hostess, who was easy to reach and responsive, even provided goodies for us and treats to feed the horses. We enjoyed the hot tub and our grandsons played outside on the play set for hours. The location was perfect for visits to Nederland, Boulder and hiking. While we had no cell signal, the internet was very good at the house. Morning and evening walks around the quiet neighborhood began and ended perfect days at this lovely property.

Dear Liz, I'm delighted that your entire family enjoyed their stay at our Ranch! I strive to make it a warm and welcoming space, offering something of interest for all generations. Yes, since we are in the Rockies in a Canyon at 8000', the only cell tower up here is AT&T. So if one has AT&T, they should have cell service, however, if not, that is why I do provide guests with a Land Line to either call out from (48 mainland states long distance service included) or number can be given out for you to receive calls from friend or family. Family Ranch style with a zen feeling.

Beautiful property the horses were great to look out almost every window to see them grazing. we had a family gathering for our son’s college graduation and it worked out perfect.

Ranch in the Mountains

The property was easy to get to. The pictures of inside and outside are accurate. Kim supplied apples and carrots to feed the horses and she welcomed people walking around the property. Kim was very responsive to our needs. Would recommend this property to others.

Travel Magick!

Kim was a wonderful host, very thoughtful and easy to communicate with. We got to stay over Memorial Day weekend and enjoy the horses out front, the pool table inside, and the hot tub outside. The master bed was very comfortable and the chocolates on the pillow were a cute touch!

Great getaway!

We had such a wonderful and peaceful time in the Canyon. The horses were wonderful for the kids, and the calmness was great for the parents. Home was clean, beds were comfy! Kim even had some extra dry goods and spice ready for us if we forgot anything.

Relaxing Getaway

Exactly what we were looking for.

This house was in the perfect location for a family trip.Kim was gracious enough to let us check in early due to a snow shower. She gave us a great list of activities and shopping. The house had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable. We really enjoyed having the pool table and the fireplace. Would definitely stay again.

End of summer vacation

We loved this place. This was our first trip with a dog, and this is an excellent property if you are traveling with a pet. Lots of walking and playing areas. The setting was beautiful, and the host was very congenial. Thanks Kim!
