Welcome to Papakea! Located between the Kaanapali and Kapalua world-class golf resorts, and just minutes from beaches, shops, and restaurants, Papakea is a 13-acre oceanfront resort that embodies the true aloha spirit of Maui.

There are two private pools, two Jacuzzis, direct beachfront access, a cabana, three lighted tennis courts, two shuffleboard courts, two 18-hole putting greens, Koi ponds, lush gardens, and 12 outdoor barbecues. The resort also has an Activity Desk. For the sports enthusiast, the golf courses of Kapalua and Kaanapali are nearby, and so are beaches great for snorkeling and boogie-boarding. Alternatively, take your time walking the miles of soft sandy beaches.

Our condo is fully remodeled and re-furnished with granite counters.

Our second-floor, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo is directly oceanfront with a private lanai in the sought-after 'L' Building. Nothing but blue sky and ocean! One of the rare 2-bedroom/2-bathroom units where the Master Bedroom faces the ocean. The unit is air-conditioned and also has ceiling fans in all the bedrooms. We offer free wireless Internet access. Sip a cocktail on the lanai and enjoy the beautiful views of the neighboring islands of Lanai and Molokai. Parking is conveniently located near the building, and both the elevator and stairs are nearby.

The living area features ample seating, as well as satellite TV, a VCR/DVD player, and a stereo with a CD player. There is a table with seating for four on the private lanai. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, microwave, and coffee maker. The unit also has its own washer and dryer.

As renters ourselves for years, we have drawn on our experiences to think of everything possible to make your stay comfortable. The oceanfront master bedroom features a king-size bed and ample dresser and closet space. It offers a full ocean view, and the bathroom features a shower/tub combination and a separate vanity area.

The second bedroom also features a king-sized bed and ample closet space. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a separate vanity area.

There is a queen-sized pull-out sofa in the living room for extra guests. All linens, including beach towels, are provided. We also have beach chairs and an ice chest that can be taken to neighboring sandy beaches. Papakea has a sea wall and a grassy lounging area overlooking the ocean. There are many sandy beaches within walking and short driving distances.

The State of Hawaii requires us to post our Department of Taxation Registration number, which is W50156142-01. Our on-island contact is Maui Rentals and Realty, LLC, located at 1087 Limahana Pl., Lahaina. Please do not contact them for booking.

Great place to stay

This condo was so great for our family. It had enough space, a very well stocked kitchen (always nice to not have to buy coffee filters for example). It was very clean. The best parts of it IMO are: This is ocean front - not beach front - the views are spectacular and sitting on the balcony at sunset, sunrise, just watching the whales - it was amazing. I will say the ocean is LOUD - maybe the only downside is you will 100% hear it in the master bedroom at night even if you close the windows - it takes some getting used to just how loud it is. So if you are a light sleeper maybe bring ear plugs. Secondly, the grounds and amenities were great. Third, there were so many things we could walk to that made the trip easy - the food trucks (we would often just get food for dinner there and then eat on the balcony watching the sunset, slappy cakes, a grocery store, etc. We loved staying here as did our kids. It was just all very easy. Thank you for the great stay!

We had a lovely time. Unit has a spectacular viewā€¦ the whale watching was phenomenal!!! The area is perfect for morning walks and eating establishments! I would recommend this unit for a relaxing and invigorating stay. We ourselves are returning in 2025!!

Loved the view but not the condo

We were not excited about the kitchen pests or the smell in the kitchen when we first got there. We cleaned the counters and by the next day, the odd smell was gone. The pests were a recurrent thing. I think itā€™s to be expected in Hawaii. We ended up keeping our dry goods stored in the oven and microwave for piece of mind. The other issue was the loud noise in the master bedroom from the slatted windows. I read the reviews from previous vacationers so I knew there would be noise from the waves. Just didnā€™t expect it to be as loud as a freight train. It might not be as bad in summer or on less windy/rainy nights. The condo itself was a great location. The furniture was comfortable. And that view. Breathtaking every morning! We saw so many whales. I could have sat on the lanai all day whale watching. Canā€™t rave enough about the view. If your priority is whale watching, this is the condo for you. If you prefer a good nights rest or are a sensitive sleeper, you might think twice.

A perfect week with the whales

Perfect location for whale watching in January. One morning while we were having breakfast on the lanai we saw one slap its tail 21 times. The apartment is just as advertised. Everything was easy.

Love this condo!

This is our 3rd time staying here and we love it. The ocean view is awesome and we saw whales every day. Great location (walking distance to a grocery store and restaurants). The grounds at the Papakea Resort (where the condo is located) are very well kept.

Great Accomodations

Right on the waterfront. Could hear the waves from everyone in the condo. Spacious and clean. Plenty of beach activity equipment for use in the condo. Parking was easy. Overall great stay Only disappointment was no real beach or snorkeling on the premises. Water was too rough for kids in this location.

Beautiful view but old condo

We enjoyed the beautiful ocean views. However during our 10 day vacation, we kept finding a large pool of water under the master bedroom carpeting. We called the manager a couple of times and when the workers came the day before our checkout, they discovered that drainage water from the upstairs bathroom was the reason for the big puddle in our bedroom. We were literally stepping on another unit's bathroom water throughout our stay. No wonder I got sick half way through our vacation. I made my family leave Old Lahaina Luau early because I wasn't feeling well. The manager and the resort people did nothing for us. They just left our unit and had the plumbers get to work when we checked out the next morning. I can't imagine what that disgusting carpeting would look like if we haven't told them about the water. The 1st floor condo below us was probably affected too.

Beautiful Oceanfront Condo

This condo has everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay in Maui. The Papakea Property is well maintained with lots of amenities. We enjoyed the pool, bbqs, shuffleboard, snorkeling, beach next door, evening sunsets on the lanai and the nearby walking path. A huge plus was the three AC units.

Wonderful vacation home

This condo had everything we needed for a great vacation. Its best feature, of course, is the unobstructed ocean view. It was also comfortable and extremely well stocked. The hosts made sure we had a pack and play for our toddler, which was so helpful. There was also tons of beach gear and binoculars for whale watching. We couldnā€™t have asked for anything more!

Maui heaven

This was our second time staying at Papakea, we loved the condo so much! It was absolutely perfect for us, fully stocked with the best view ever! We use the pool almost every day. Also played pickle ball and shuffleboard, so much fun! Made friends with the nice neighbors as well. Great location and close to beaches and shopping. We hope to return again soon.

Magnificent ocean views

Condo had almost everything one would need. Lanai provided excellent views of whales. No problem with parking. Suggest providing information on how to work the TV. Would like to return in a couple of years if possible. All in all, it was great place to relax

We loved the location! Loved the easy access to pool! We used that more than the beach! We stayed plenty comfortable with the fans and windows open. I do wish there had been a beach to have easier access to without having to drive but overall it was a great experience! Thanks for sharing it with us.

We have traveled the world, including every continent except Antarctica, and our favorite place in the whole world is the ocean-front at Papakea. So we bought a condo there.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

We love getting up in the morning, making a cup of coffee, and sitting on our Lanai. We just read or gaze out over the blue waters and the full views of Molokai and Lanai and enjoy the ocean breeze and the sounds of the surf some 60 feet from us. We come every February, so the whales are here. They put on a show for us every day while we drink our coffee. The place has everything we need, pools, and tennis. We like making our own breakfast and lunch, and then we go out to dinner every night. There are tons of great restaurants just a short drive from the place. Nobody comes to bother you unless you ask them to.
