Peaceful and quiet with spectacular unobstructed views of the sandy beach, ocean, palm trees and the Islands of Lanai and Molokai. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo is fully furnished in a light and airy Hawaiian style and is under new housekeeping management! Bathrooms and kitchen counters have also been updated!

The master bedroom loft overlooks the living area and has a view of the sand and surf. The second bedroom is located on the first floor. An extra long queen size sofa bed in the living area provides additional sleeping arrangements for a maximum of 6 overnight guests.

Hale Mahina Beach Resort is located in West Maui, between Kaanapali and Kapalua. Surrounded by palm trees and tropical flowers, this beautifully landscaped resort includes a semi-private sand beach, oceanside pool, jacuzzi, and bbq area. It is an excellent place for swimming, surfing and snorkeling. Enjoy the views and make new friends while watching the sunset over cocktails. Experience unforgettable sightings of whales birthing and breaching right in front of you as you sit on the lanai. Catch a glimpse of giant sea turtles feeding on the coral reef and resting in the sand. The spirit of “Aloha” truly abounds here, and will keep you coming back to this special beach property.

Great Property

Just finished a 7 night stay at this property.The condo itself is perfect for a family of 4 (we have two teenagers) and everyone had plenty of room.The beach property is perfect for beach activities. We paddle boarded each morning. There is waves for surfing as well. Snorkeling is amazing. Four turtles joined us daily as we snorkeled and one came up on the beach our last day. Plenty of room on the side of the building for your surf boards and paddle boards.Owners and property manager were real helpful before and during the stay.Highly recommend this property for the condo, location, and beach access.Only drawback was there was a small drop off to get to the beach due to the beach erosion. Not an issue u less you have restrictions preventing you from climbing 3ft.Highly recommend this property.

Turtle heaven

This unit was meticulously decorated but very livable/comfortable. And it has air conditioning in the bedroom. The view over the semi private beach is amazing!

I want to live here

I loved this property and our stay here.Its very hard to leave. We saw whales everyday ( in April) and so many sea turtles from the Lanai. The condo worked perfect for us and the hosts were very easy to work with. This has to be the most well stocked property I have ever stayed in. I was very impressed..

This is our third time staying at Hale Mahina and it won’t be our last. The property is beautiful! This condo had all the amenities you need. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. We love the short walk to Bad Ass Coffee and shopping plaza. The view is worth a million dollars. Don’t hesitate booking this condo.

A Better Place to Stay Could Not Be Found!

I cannot put into words what a treasure this condo is! Bright and spacious and airy and a view that will take your breath away. Condo is well stocked and so comfortable. There is no better place on Maui to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sun come up while the whales spout. The property is immaculate with a private pool and beach- an oasis away from the touristy hustle and bustle of town (which you can still get to quickly)! This place is a gem!

Amazing views, perfect location!!

Absolute perfect location and incredible views. Looks exactly like pics on website listing. Truly exceeded our expectations. Turtles swimming and sunbathing on our own private beach every single day we were there. Walkable to stores, restaurants, walked from condo to Kanaapali beach walk .Our family has stayed at many VRBO homes over the years and Laura was hands down the best to communicate and work with. This will absolutely be our go to rental for Maui. Thank you for sharing your lovely condo with us !! Cant wait to return.

Beautiful West Maui Location

The ocean view from the lanai is beautiful! The small, private beach is just a few yards away, and was very good for snorkeling (sea turtles could be seen swimming by from our lanai too). The pool and the grounds were very well kept, and a great place to watch the ocean from the provided lawn chairs/loungers. The location is close to great beaches. Condo itself was good & appliances were all fine. The only negative for us was that these units did not have A/C, which we would have liked a couple of days, but this is very common for Maui -- the temperatures are generally very moderate & the ocean breeze is nice and cool at night.

Family trip to Maui

Condo at Hale Mahina was perfect! There were 4 adults, and this 2bdr condo was the perfect size. Being up on the 4th floor, with an incredible view of the beach and ocean, we had a constant breeze running through the condo. There were turtles swimming every day, as well as one or two sunning on the beach throughout our week long stay. The condo was conveniently located on the West shore, and had easy access to Kaanapali beach, Lahaina, & Kapalua bay. Laura was very attentive and responsive to our requests and questions before our trip. Loved our stay, and hopefully will be back very soon. The only small inconvenience is the noise from the street if you are staying in the front bedroom. But earplugs definitely helped.

Quiet and beautiful Maui experience

We stayed at Hale Mahina with our 3 children. It’s the perfect spot if you don’t want to be right in the middle of all the hubbub of bigger resorts, but close enough to all the great beaches you would want to visit. It’s tucked back off the main road and very secluded. All units face the ocean, so you get an actual ocean front view no matter which one you choose. Although I will say, being on the 4th (top) floor is the best in my opinion, as it offers a better view from the lanai (patio), vaulted ceilings for a more spacious feel and the extra bedroom in the loft upstairs. Sea turtles show up right on the small beach in the mornings and you’re almost guaranteed to see a lot more around midday floating by to eat algae off the cluster of rocks by the next condo community over. We found that the best snorkeling was right in front of our condo. All in all, it was a great time. The pool and jacuzzi is a plus as well. We’d definitely consider staying here again!

Once Our Go-To Spot, But No Longer Feels Welcoming

We’ve stayed at the Hale Mahina Beach Resort in different units several times over the past 7 years and always had a great experience—until this most recent trip. Sadly, it no longer feels like the welcoming, family-friendly place we used to love.The condo itself was just as described—clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. But the overall atmosphere was uncomfortable due to the way we were treated by the property manager. Despite being respectful and considerate, we were repeatedly singled out. Any noise above a quiet conversation seemed to be an issue. The “no one under 14 in the spa” rule was strictly enforced—even when kids were simply sitting quietly with parents—which felt unnecessarily harsh for a vacation property advertised as family-friendly.To make matters worse, there’s a security camera pointed directly at the spa that appears to be used for enforcement. It felt invasive. As a paying guest, I expect to feel welcomed and able to enjoy the amenities—not constantly monitored and policed.At one point, we were approached about noise that wasn’t even coming from us. The family who was making noise wasn’t being disrespectful or disruptive—just kids being kids. When we calmly explained that, the property manager didn’t address the actual group responsible. He only became apologetic after seeing how upset my family was and after we pointed out he was mistaken.After just 3 days in to our 8 days reservation, we felt so uncomfortable that we decided to leave early and

Maui Holiday!

We have been to this condo complex 5-6 times over the past 10 years, staying in different condos each time as our family grow. This year, Lydia's condo was available for the time we needed, and was similar to a unit we stayed in last year. First and foremost, the view and location are top notch, you can't beat beachfront with direct access to a pool/hot tub. On top of that, the grounds and building are kept up very well by the building manager who we have seen has been there for many years. The condo itself is fairly dated, and could use some general TLC. The bathrooms look as though they are hard to make look clean simply due to their age. The kitchen was something to be desired as only one burner on the stove and as a family on vacation, part of the reason for a non-hotel rental is so that we can cook many of our meals on-site. Some of the amenities such as laundry soap that said were included, we either could not find or weren't there, which meant a separate trip to the store. We would certainly return to the Hale Mahina but may have some additional communication prior to coming about amenities included. Again, the price is reasonable and the location is tough to beat so much of the details didn't bother me enough to ruin our vacation!

Beautiful property with outstanding views. We were two couples who flew from Sydney Australia and loved every minute in the wonderful ocean frontage condo. The place was so well placed near everything shops restaurants cafes etc. many in walking distance. The condo had all the ocean playthings that you could possibly want and the pools and grounds were immaculate. Loved our 5nights and would absolutely go there again . Thankyou for having us. Perfect Getaway

Hale Mahina was like a home away from home with the huge bonus of amazing sunsets and full ocean views at each meal from our Lanai. In addition having the beach at our doorstep with immediate access to snorkeling and daily visits by multiple turtles. The condo area is peaceful, not crowded . While BBQ’ing we met guests and long time owners all very friendly. If you want to be around a lot of people and more crowded beaches you can head south about 10 min to Kaanapali. The beach is calmer and not a lot of rocks. You can also find a variety of beaches 10-15 min (driving) north. Well known areas are a bit crowded and other less well known beautiful areas with few people and more waves maybe more rocks but easily remedied by grabbing a pair of water shoes. The condo provided a comfortable loft and sofa bed for each of our teen boys and another separate bedroom. The condo was a perfect space for our week long trip.

Amazing Maui Experience

We love Hale Mahina!

This is the second time we have stayed in this unit and it was great. Everything was as listed and communication with the owner was easy. We love this location and the proximity to other things and the private beach is perfect when you want to have a low key day.

Can’t beat the location!

We loved being able to look out our balcony and see and the ocean and beach! Saw turtles on our beach every day and even a seal! The property was nice, as others have mentioned if you stay in the downstairs bedroom it is very noisy, but at night my 2 teens were so tired it didn’t bother them much (only if we came back during the day for a quick rest). I really liked the fact that they had body boards, beach umbrella, and a cooler. Host was very responsive. Will say washer was VERY loud- like so loud I thought there was an airplane or helicopter outside above the building at first- Host actually contacted me about that after we used it the time before I could call her to let me know if the problem and said it was going to be repaired but ok to use- we tried one other time after to do laundry but just couldn’t because it was so loud, and just in case did not want to hurt the machine. (But as mentioned they are getting that fixed). Would stay here again!

My husband and I had lost our spouses and had known each other for several years through a charitable organization. After six years we finally decided to take a leap of faith and love and were married. We went to Maui on our honeymoon and I loved Maui as much as he did. I had lived in Honolulu for a few years prior to marriage and my husband was stationed on Oahu during the war. We both loved the culture, music, people, and beauty of the Islands. My husband has passed away but I continue to meet my Maui friends a few times a year at Hale Mahina and enjoy all the memories as well as make new memories.

My husband and I stayed at Hale Mahina every year in Bldg A at Hale Mahina. We loved to come back each year for two weeks vacation during the winter months. My husband retired early due to health issues and I had a wonderful business as a sales representative which I loved. Eventually, after much soul searching, I decided to cut more time out of my work schedule for a longer stay at Hale Mahina. We started making good friends there and finally we were staying a month and then two months, three months. I had quit working by then. It was a home away from home and we wanted to spend even more time in Maui. We had been looking to buy a condo there someday and the right condo came along during the economic crisis of 2007-2008. Yep! Crazy us, took a leap of faith and never regretted our scary decision at the time. It worked out but wasn't easy for sure. We ended up staying for 5-6 months each year and have amazing memories and friendships which were our "golden years" for sure. We have been blessed!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Can't really think of what needs to be said here that I haven't said already. It's where my heart remains and all the friendships made. I love to see the young families, newly weds, and seniors enjoying the "golden years" as we did. My son and daughter bring their kids and love hanging out on the beach. We have loved seeing all the families and their families
continue to come back as we did. It's a very special beach property for so many reasons.
